Position Overview


The Assistant Project Manager will support the planning, coordination, and execution of projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in commercial construction who thrives in fast-paced, detail-oriented environments.


Project Types

  • Hospitality renovations and ground-up hotels
  • Student housing (garden-style & podium)
  • Healthcare (medical office buildings, clinics, renovations)
  • Education (K-12 and higher education projects)


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with project planning, scheduling, and coordination
  • Manage and track submittals, RFIs, and change orders
  • Support budget tracking and cost control
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, consultants, and internal teams
  • Help ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and quality control
  • Participate in project meetings and client communications
  • Assist with procurement and buyout processes
  • Support project closeout and documentation


Qualifications

  • 2–5+ years of experience in commercial construction
  • Experience supporting projects in hospitality, student housing, healthcare, or education
  • Strong understanding of construction processes and documentation
  • Familiarity with project management software (Procore, Bluebeam, etc.)
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
