Summary
The Safety Engineer is responsible for overseeing and managing workplace safety activities for the Livermore corporate office and facilities operations. This role ensures the effective implementation of safety programs, compliance with regulatory requirements, and the continuous improvement of workplace safety practices.
This role will lead safety inspections, incident investigations, training programs, and regulatory compliance activities while identifying opportunities to strengthen safety processes and reduce workplace risk. This position works closely with Facilities, Operations, and other departments to promote a proactive safety culture and safe working environments.
In addition, this role will support facilities-related projects as needed and serve as a backup to the Senior Manager, Facilities & EHS when required.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage day-to-day safety activities across the Livermore facility.
- Develop, implement, and monitor safety programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
- Evaluate existing safety practices and recommend improvements to processes, procedures, and safety controls to reduce workplace risk and strengthen safety performance.
- Promote and support a strong safety culture through collaboration with employees, leadership, and cross-functional teams.
- Conduct routine safety inspections and preventive checks using MaintainX, including: Fire extinguisher inspections, Emergency exit light inspections and battery replacements, AED and emergency kit inspections, First aid kit inspections
- Perform workplace safety surveys and hazard assessments to identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Maintain safety equipment inventory and ensure equipment readiness and compliance.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements including OSHA, CalOSHA, EPA, ANSI, NIOSH, NEC, and NFPA standards.
- Complete required safety documentation and regulatory reporting.
- Coordinate and deliver safety training programs including emergency response, life safety procedures, hazardous materials handling, and PPE requirements.
- Support and coordinate Emergency Response Team (ERT) activities and training.
- Partner with operations and facilities teams to reinforce safe work practices and safety awareness.
- Respond to safety incidents, accidents, and emergency situations as required.
- Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis.
- Develop and track corrective actions to prevent recurrence and improve safety processes.
- Support facilities-related safety initiatives and improvement projects.
- Participate in equipment installations, relocations, and facility upgrades to ensure safety compliance.
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors for safety-related work and obtain project estimates as needed.
- Assist with oversight of contractor safety compliance.
- Participate in safety committee meetings and cross-functional safety initiatives.
- Serve as a backup resource to the Senior Manager, Facilities & EHS when needed.
- Collaborate with leadership to monitor safety performance metrics and recommend improvements.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in safety, EHS, or facilities safety management
- Experience working in industrial, manufacturing, or facilities environments preferred
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations including OSHA, CalOSHA, EPA, and related standards
- Experience implementing or supporting safety programs and compliance initiatives
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- A degree, trade certification, or equivalent experience in Environmental Health & Safety, Industrial Safety, or Facilities Management is preferred.
- Hands-on safety professional with strong attention to detail
- Ability to identify risks and recommend practical safety improvements
- Strong collaboration and communication skills across departments

The Electrical Safety Manager is a full-time, on-site role located in Mooresville, NC. The Manager will oversee safety programs, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster a culture of workplace safety. Provide all Site Specific Safety Plans to General Contractors upon request
Conduct all safety training and certification classes to ensure that all safety certification records are current and relevant.
Ensure proper First Aid kits are kept at project offices, company trucks, home office, etc.
Maintain company’s OSHA 300 and 300A documents.
Maintain all Hot Work PPE and ensure yearly recertification of Hot Work equipment is completed.
Sign off on all Hot Work Permit to ensure that proper procedures and safety measures are taken.
Maintain company drug testing program: pre-employment, post-accident / post-incident and random screenings.
Reviewing JHA -Job Hazard Analyses and provide necessary changes to the JHA when the project warrants.
Establish and maintain good working relationships with field management
Train and coach employees in the safety aspects of their jobs
Manage loss control measures to ensure that WC and GL claims are to a minimum so that the company’s
EMR rating remains below 1.0
Attend training seminars to state up to date on changes in OSHA safety regulations.

The Role – Health & Safety Manager
The Health & Safety Manager will take ownership of the company’s HSE strategy across Ireland and Europe, supporting multiple renewable energy construction projects including wind farms, solar developments, battery storage, grid infrastructure and data centres.
Working closely with the Managing Director and senior leadership team, you will lead the development and implementation of best in class health and safety systems while ensuring full compliance with Irish and EU legislation. This is a senior leadership role focused on driving a strong safety culture across multiple sites, improving reporting frameworks and ensuring that all projects operate to the highest safety standards.
You will work closely with project managers, engineers and site teams across Europe, providing guidance on risk management, audits, incident investigations and regulatory compliance while supporting the continued expansion of the company’s renewable energy portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and implement the company’s HSE strategy across renewable energy projects in Ireland and Europe
- Ensure compliance with Irish and European health and safety legislation including Construction Regulations, PUWER, LOLER and associated directives
- Manage and maintain HSE management systems including ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 across all project locations
- Carry out internal and external HSE audits and ensure corrective actions are implemented effectively
- Provide guidance to project teams on RAMS, risk assessments, permit to work systems and safe work planning
- Drive a positive safety culture across project teams and subcontractors with a focus on behavioural safety
- Develop and maintain HSE performance reporting and KPIs across multiple European projects
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
- Deliver training and mentoring for site managers, engineers and supervisors on key safety topics
- Liaise with regulatory authorities, certification bodies and project stakeholders during inspections and audits
- Support environmental and sustainability initiatives including waste management and environmental risk controls

About You
- Chartered IOSH member CMIOSH or equivalent qualification such as NEBOSH Diploma or MSc in Occupational Health and Safety
- 8 to 10 years experience in health and safety within construction, utilities, power generation or renewable energy projects
- Strong background working on wind farms, solar farms, battery storage or grid infrastructure projects is highly desirable
- Experience managing health and safety across multiple sites and jurisdictions within the EU
- Proven experience implementing and managing ISO 45001 safety management systems
- Excellent knowledge of Irish and European health and safety legislation and compliance requirements
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence teams at all levels

Primary Purpose
The Safety Monitor II will implement Pharmacovigilance activities in collaboration with other members of the Pharmacovigilance and Medical Monitoring (PMM) department, under general supervision. The Safety Monitor II will assist senior level Safety Monitors with interventional and non-interventional clinical projects in conjunction with the assigned Medical Monitor/Medical Officer and the project team and may be assigned as the Primary Safety Monitor for small projects. In addition, the Safety Monitor II will assist with the designing and execution of the assigned Pharmacovigilance (PV) related projects (e.g., management of local or international PV systems for contracted Clients; PV supervision of RWE (Real World Evidence projects); etc.) in close cooperation with other Emmes roles, especially with Medical Officers/Medical Monitors (or other similar medical expert roles), Regulatory roles, etc. The Safety Monitor II will support the adherence to Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Good Pharmacovigilance Practice (GVP) and other relevant Pharmacovigilance requirements.
Responsibilities
- Assists in performing safety monitoring activities in cooperation with project Medical Monitor/Medical Officer and other relevant project team members.
- Reviews safety events.
- Assists in the collection, assessment, monitoring, review and reporting of adverse drug reaction cases from all sources clinical (both interventional and non interventional), data sets analyzed in association with RWE projects, spontaneous reports, literature, etc.
- Provides first line evaluation of serious adverse events (SAEs).
- Communicates with site staff regarding reported AEs or SAEs to gather additional information.
- Prepares a summary narrative for each reported SAE suitable for Medical Monitor/Officer review, and inclusion in Data Safety Monitoring Board (DSMB) reports, regulatory submissions, and final study reports.
- Coordinates the timely completion and submission of required reports to health authorities and business partners.
- Maintains ongoing database of SAEs and reconciles SAEs in the database as needed.
- Reviews adverse events and/or other safety related data such as toxicities, concomitant medications and medical history, etc. for the study on a regular basis.
- Establishes direct communication with Client, investigator site staff, national and regional regulatory authorities, health professionals, pharmaceutical and other study partners, as necessary.

You will have these responsibilities:
Apply systems safety methodologies as defined by industry standards
Develop new processes / methodologies used to certify autonomous / remote operations
Perform safety activities in coordination with design, development and verification of aviation systems including: Generate safety artifacts such as FHAs & Safety Assessments for aircraft, systems and equipment. About You
As a member of the Transportation Safety Department, the Transportation Safety & Compliance Administrator supports the Safety & Compliance Department by performing a wide range of administrative and data management tasks that help maintain the fleet’s overall safety and regulatory compliance. This role is responsible for establishing and maintaining comprehensive accident and damage files, updating federally mandated records such as the DOT Accident Register, and preparing monthly compliance reports. The position requires daily interaction with internal partners including Risk Management, Fleet Maintenance, and Safety Supervisors as well as external stakeholders such as insurance brokers, ticket management companies, and law enforcement agencies. The Administrator also prepares various departmental correspondence and provides general administrative support as assigned by the Manager of Safety & Compliance. This role is essential in ensuring accurate documentation, timely reporting, and efficient workflow within the Safety & Compliance function.
Responsibilities:
The core functions of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Establish, organize, and maintain comprehensive files for all accident investigations, tractor damage, trailer damage, and miscellaneous damage claims.
- Update and track all accident documentation to ensure accurate and complete file records.
- Maintain the DOT‑mandated Accident Register, ensuring all required incidents are logged and updated in a timely manner, according to DOT requirements.
- Manage data and create the Monthly Accident Register report for internal distribution.
- Coordinate check requests and manage charge accounts for obtaining police accident reports.
- Maintain a 7‑year filing archive for all accident-related folders in accordance with regulatory retention requirements.
- Coordinate with the insurance broker regarding Certificates of Insurance for owner‑operators renting or purchasing tractors.
- Engage daily with the Risk Management Division to exchange required information on accident files, supporting accurate claims handling and risk assessments.
- Manage the driver qualification files in compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Track and manage expiration dates for driver credentials, including medical screenings and registration renewals; generate and send monthly compliance reports to the Transportation Manager.
- Support timely processing of driver terminations, ensuring all systems and records are updated and coordinated with Accounting to remove union dues.
- Maintain accurate databases for fleet tractors, 700+ drivers, owner‑operator tractor registrations, and TWIC cards.
- Facilitate the Drivers’ Safety Award Program, including tracking accident‑free eligibility, ordering gifts, and coordinating award distribution.
- Monitor and maintain the annual roster of drivers who qualify for safety recognition based on accident‑free performance.
- Manage New York City parking tickets, including sorting, reconciling, and reviewing ticket notices.
- Coordinate with third‑party ticket management companies, maintain an updated tracking spreadsheet, and prepare monthly payment compilations and check requests.
- Prepare driver Preventable and Non‑Preventable determination letters and distribute to appropriate parties.
- Draft and maintain the Monthly Motorists Complaints Report, including documentation of incidents and tracking involved drivers.
- Generate departmental correspondence and reports as assigned by the Manager, Safety & Compliance.
- Is daily point of contact for Safety Supervisors, supporting investigation processes, documentation needs, and operational safety initiatives.
- Coordinate with Fleet Maintenance regarding damage assessments for tractors and trailers involved in accidents.
- Collaborates with internal departments (Transportation Operations, Risk Management, Fleet Maintenance, Accounting) to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely communication.

Compensation and Benefits
The weekly salary range for this position is $1,113-$1511. Placement in the range depends on several factors, including experience, skills, education, geography, and budget considerations.

SUMMARY Provides executive leadership for Jeffco Public Schools' comprehensive school safety, security, and emergency management enterprise. Develops and oversees the district's school safety strategy, integrating prevention, preparedness, response, and recovery across 168 campuses over 774 square miles and serving approximately 74,000 students and 14,000 employees. Directs a complex, 24/7 Department of School Safety with responsibility for strategic planning, business operations, workforce management, and performance oversight.
