The Opportunity

It is all about learning and growing. Our Associate Auto Adjuster role may be a new career for you. There’s a lot to learn, but the pathway is mapped out and USAA is willing to invest in you! Our comprehensive, fully paid four-month training program includes all training materials, licensing costs, class discussions, hands-on training, e-learning modules, and the instructor led guidance will help you to support our members independently. We have new training classes starting every month.

Our in-office development program provides the training you need and the encouragement to create a proactive and independent support style to service our membership. After six months in-office, you’ll have the opportunity to work offsite 2 days a week. Military veterans and spouses are highly encouraged to apply. Work schedules will vary and may include some weekends. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

We are currently seeking dedicated professionals to work in our Chesapeake, VA office, located at 1341 Crossway Blvd, Chesapeake, VA 23320  as an Associate Auto Adjuster . Your work will focus on adjusting non-injury auto claims and you'll work under supervision to investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and adjust low complexity auto insurance claims presented by or against our members. This will include the end-to-end claims process and settling claims in compliance with state laws and regulations. In this role, you will make a difference to our members as you deliver best in class customer service through setting appropriate expectations, proactively communicating and providing advice to deliver appropriate solutions to the member.

What you'll do:

  • Acquire and apply basic knowledge of auto coverages. auto physical damage, and liability, in order to evaluate and settle high volume and low complexity auto claims such as; simple comprehensive and collision (i.e., single vehicle, parked and unoccupied, clear liability), glass, roadside, and rental vehicle coverages for repairable vehicles.

  • Resolve claims through proactive problem solving and decision making, within authority guidelines and under direct supervision, while overcoming obstacles, and effectively prioritizing the workload.

  • Clearly document thought process including damage evaluation, investigation, negotiation, and settlement decisions.

  • Collaborate and set expectations with external and internal business partners to facilitate claims resolution.

  • Support members, business partners, and claimants, through use of varying communication channels to include utilization of digital tools to drive timely and effective resolutions through exceptional service.

  • Acquire and apply a foundational knowledge of Property and Claims (P&C) insurance industry products, and services, to include P&C insurance policy contracts, coverages and internal claims handling process and procedures.

  • Support workload surges and catastrophe (CAT) response operations as needed, including potential evening, weekends, and/or holiday work outside normal work hours.

  • May be assigned CAT deployment travel with minimal notice during designated CATs.

  • Ensure risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.

  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service for our members by communicating clearly and professionally using multiple communication channels to process information related to auto claims

  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task while navigating through multiple business applications

Compensation range: The hiring range for this position is: $49,840 to $51,840

Basic Qualifications Level 3:

  • Master's degree with 3 years experience or a Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience in the following areas: business, finance, accounting, program control and/or similar industry related fields.

Salary ranges will be dependent upon where the position is based and follows our company geographic salary bands aligned with position, as this posting may include multiple locations and provide a variety of salary ranges per location. Specific salary offer for candidate selected will be commensurate with experience and aligned with local geography.

Primary Level Salary Range: $81,400.00 - $152,200.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $94,200.00 - $176,300.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. The Manager, Enterprise Programs & Platform Performance is a leadership role focused on developing high performance teams while driving enterprise programs and advancing platform capabilities that enable Global Security's mission worldwide. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Global Security Control Center (GSCC) Strategic Operations, this role leads a high-impact team including a Program Manager and Geospatial Specialists, while fostering an inclusive, high-trust culture aligned with The Walt Disney Company (TWDC) values. This role will coach, develop, and hold the team accountable—building capability and engagement to deliver exceptional results.

Beyond people leadership, this role serves as the enterprise subject matter expert for Travel Risk Management (TRM) and the platforms supporting Open-Source Intelligence / Social Media Research (OSINT/SMR) operations. As the TRM expert, this leader is responsible for evolving the enterprise TRM program into a global, Fortune 50 gold-standard capability supporting more than 150,000 travelers annually, partnering with enterprise travel leadership to align with ISO 31030 standards and ensuring Disney's global workforce is supported with best-in-class travel safety resources and response capabilities. The role also provides strategic direction for geospatial tools and OSINT/SMR platforms—defining desired outcomes and empowering the team to deliver technical solutions that drive reliability, automation, and actionable insights.

This position carries a global remit with primary focus on the Western Hemisphere and serves as part of the governance center for all TWDC Control Centers worldwide. The manager partners closely with GSCC operations leadership and teams across Global Security—including intelligence, investigations, security operations, and emergency preparedness and response—as well as enterprise travel leadership and studio segment partners to ensure readiness, response, and stakeholder confidence.

The GSCC operates 24/7/365, supporting emergency and non-emergency events, monitoring global affairs, managing incoming calls, dispatching resources, and providing event-driven global notifications. In emergencies, the GSCC coordinates enterprise assistance, delivers technical and advisory support for essential services, issues risk warnings, disseminates employee information, and serves as the central communication hub for Global Security.

Platform Performance & Strategic Guidance

  • 5+ years of experience in security, with a minimum of 3 years in travel risk management, including demonstrated expertise in TRM program design, implementation, and operations at an enterprise scale.
  • Minimum of 3 years directly leading and developing people, including multidisciplinary teams across varied experience levels.
  • Subject matter expertise in TRM frameworks, standards (such as ISO 31030), and travel safety program management.
  • Working knowledge of OSINT/SMR platforms and operational frameworks.
  • Program and portfolio management skills with enterprise-scale initiatives, multiple stakeholders, and competing priorities.

    The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $107,300 to $147,500 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
