Key job responsibilities
* Hire, develop and supervise leads and a large group of highly skilled technicians focused on Kuiper satellite production. Includes annual reviews, career development and managing corrective and disciplinary actions.
* Coordinate with other Kuiper leaders and manufacturing engineers to plan and coordinate daily tasks for technicians and activities of all operations with an ability to adapt to changing schedules and other dynamic priorities.
* Establish on-the-job training programs and standardized opportunities for team members to learn new skills and progress in their career.
* Independently perform integration and test of the Kuiper satellite and various complex subassemblies in a cleanroom and ESD controlled environment.
* Inspect and verify your team's work after completion to ensure engineering and quality standards are met.
* Author, maintain, and train others to all relevant process documentation, including Assembly, Inspection, Testing/In-Process Characterization, and Packaging Procedures.
* Collaborate with manufacturing, design, operations and test engineers to develop, document and complete activities, including continuous improvement opportunities
* Provide frequent feedback and technical reviews on designs, processes, tools and custom equipment used in production environments.
* Improve and enforce area safety and reporting mechanisms through regular auditing and safety-related projects.

A day in the life
The Production Supervisor will work closely with cross-functional engineering, test, enterprise, quality and operations teams on production hardware integration processes and systems. This is a critical role leading the technician team on the production floor.
This position requires a high degree of skill in many areas, including technical leadership, technician development, mechanical assembly, avionics integration, troubleshooting, electrical checkouts and environmental testing. In short, you will be responsible for ensuring high quality, workmanship and safety standards are adhered to on a daily basis across the technician team. You will also help lead long term production planning, team organization, team building and hiring for essential roles across your team.

The Production Supervisor at the 750 facility is responsible for leading daily pressroom operations with a focus on safety, quality, performance, and people development. This role ensures that PPC’s flexographic pressroom operates efficiently and produces high-quality printed materials that meet customer expectations and company standards.
The Supervisor plays a critical role in advancing PPC’s strategic goals of improving Fully Productive Time (FPT), reducing waste, and driving operational excellence through strong floor leadership. The Production Operator is the front-line employee who performs the manufacturing processes that add value and quality to the inputs and create the final high-quality final products. There are a variety of sub-classifications within the Operator job family that could range in specific duties from receiving and handling the raw materials, adding value through a variety of proprietary processes, to packaging the final product. In all stages of production safety, attention to detail, a quality and sanitation focus, and efficiency are key to the success of the operation.

- Weld or knot new wire new supply to trailing end of previous order (if applicable).

- Secure, install and adjust the proper dies, stranding/pre-forming head, crushing rollers, post-former and carboloy rings as required by the order.
- Set the proper lay according to order specifications.

Job Summary: The Production Assistant is responsible for collecting all products from the end of the production line and packing the products per customer or job requirements. - Perform periodic checks on completed screens to ensure consistency and adherence to company standards.
Quality Control & Problem-Solving
- Monitor production for inconsistencies and report any concerns to your supervisor.
- Identify and resolve minor production issues, escalating significant problems when necessary.
Safety & Maintenance
- Keep tools, equipment, and workstations in top working condition.
- Follow all safety protocols and participate in ongoing training to maintain a safe work environment.
- Adhere to 5S principles for organization, efficiency, and cleanliness.

Experience & Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Must be 18 years old.
- 2+ years of related manufacturing experience (window/door industry a plus!).
- Lean manufacturing and process improvement experience preferred.

- Ability to follow instructions, maintain accuracy, and multitask effectively.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve minor production issues independently.
Team Player Mentality:
- Excellent communication skills and a willingness to collaborate and cross-train.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Commitment to Safety & Quality:
- Understanding of PPE requirements, safety protocols, and best practices.
- A focus on producing high-quality products with precision and care.
