Position Purpose

As a Sonographer, you will work in a collaborative environment to deliver excellent patient care in a clinic or practice environment. A Sonographer is expected to use imaging equipment and soundwaves to form images of many parts of the body.

What you will do:

  • General Sonographer; able to scan large and small parts

  • Performs diagnostic sonographic imaging and interventional procedures.

  • Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy    (normal, variant and pathological states).

  • Practices proper sterile technique. Adheres to infection control guidelines.

  • Room set up and patient preparation for diagnostic imaging procedure

  • Acquire and analyze these sonographic images

  • Perform office tests and administrative duties

Minimum Qualifications:

  • ARDMS required. 

  • BLS certification is required.

  • If working in the Women's Center Breast ARDMS certification is required.

As a Radiologic Technologist, you will work in a collaborative environment to deliver excellent patient care in a clinic or practice environment. Rad Techs perform medical exams using X-rays on patients to create images of specific parts of the body. The images are then interpreted by a doctor for diagnosis and monitoring of disease

What you will do

  • Routinely produces high quality images using proper exposure values and positioning. Images routinely have two visible borders of coning.

  • Completes all requested work in a timely and orderly manner to maintain proper patient flow with other staff technologists.

  • Assists supervisor or designee in coordinating procedures properly. Informs supervisor when cases are completed or pending and signs in and out of department correctly.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduate from a Radiology Program is required.

  • Mammography certification is required for technologists working in Women's Center.

  • Hospital experience as a Radiology Technologist is preferred

Licensure:

  • Florida CRT License is required.

  • ARRT certification is required.

  • BLS certification is required.

Position Purpose

Operate head or body X-ray scanners that create a computer-generated cross-sectional image, commonly called a CAT (Computed Axial Tomography) Scan.  Great opportunity for a CT professional to work in an organization that focuses on treating the whole person, physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

What you will do:

* Performs CT procedures accurately and proficiently with an understanding of protocols for each exam. Knowledge in the proper use of the PACS and RIS systems in accordance with set protocols and the manufacturer recommendations.
* Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of computer language and cross-sectional anatomy.
* Practices proper sterile technique. Adheres to infection control guidelines.
* Interacts efficiently, professionally and courteously with all contacts.
* Draws up requested medication/contrast media and accurately records the administered amount and time as per the physician's orders.
* Administers contrast media under the direction of a physician. Recognizes signs of contrast reaction and responds with appropriate action.

* Patients served include all age groups (Infant through Older Adults as identified in Performance Standards).

Minimum Qualifications:

* Graduation from an accredited school of Radiology Technologist is required.
* Experience as a CT Technologist is preferred
* Excellent customer service skills is required
* Ability to effectively prioritize work and work under stressful situations is required

Licensure:
* Florida CRT Radiology license is required.

* ARRT (CT) is required
* BLS certification is required

What you will do:

Abiding by the Mercycare mission and values, and under the direction of the Chief of Medical Imaging, the MRI Technologist performs diagnostic MRI in accordance with departmental standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Obtains and records a complete clinical history pertinent to examination requested.
  • Evaluates requests for appropriateness; refers concerns to coordinator and/or radiologist.
  • Instructs patient as to nature of the exam being performed.
  • Effectively communicates with patient throughout exam being performed.
  • Follows established scan protocols or radiologist’s special instructions.
  • Demonstrates appropriate use of equipment and accessories.
  • Selects appropriate technical factors for requested imaging exam.
  • Assists in instruction of student technologists and new personnel.
  • Demonstrates accurate positioning and insures patient comfort.
  • Demonstrates proper screening procedures for contraindication to MRI examination.
  • Ensures proper magnetic field safety at all times.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of all MRI emergency procedures.
  • Provides proper hearing protection to all patients and visitors.
  • Effectively completes all required documentation related to patient care, imaging procedures and RIS requirements.
  • Documents and reports all incidents, radiation safety concerns and equipment malfunctions to coordinator in a timely fashion.

What you will need:

  • AAS Degree in Radiologic Technology
  • 1 year CT and/or MRI experience
  • Current ARRT registration and NYS license required

Pay Range: $34.50 - $51.10

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
