Production Control Analyst – Inventory & WIP Optimization

Overview
We are supporting a manufacturing facility in the Madison, IN area seeking a Production Control Analyst to take ownership of inventory accuracy, work-in-progress (WIP) flow, and production control processes across the plant.
This role is highly visible and hands-on, focused on building structure, improving accuracy, and driving operational efficiency across inventory, materials, and production workflows. The ideal candidate has experience in a manufacturing environment and is comfortable working cross-functionally with operations, shipping, and accounting.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and improve inventory accuracy, visibility, and organization across the facility
- Manage and optimize WIP and finished goods flow throughout production
- Design and implement a cycle count program based on inventory risk and movement
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes and corrective actions
- Improve ERP system accuracy related to inventory, locations, and transactions
- Develop and maintain inventory location and labeling systems for ease of use on the floor
- Partner with operations to ensure proper material staging and flow
- Support shipping and receiving accuracy, including documentation and verification of materials
- Collaborate with accounting/finance to ensure accurate inventory valuation and cost tracking
- Utilize Excel and ERP systems to analyze data and drive process improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related field
- 2–5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in one or more of the following:
- Production control
- Inventory management
- Materials planning
- Supply chain operations
- Hands-on experience managing:
- Inventory accuracy and cycle counts
- Work-in-progress (WIP) tracking
- ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Plex, Epicor, etc.)
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis)
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced plant environment

Responsibilities:
- Creates and builds new show and event product.
- Installs, operates and maintains technical equipment for productions and events.
- Work on crews that build, set up, operate, and tear down our live shows and events.
- Read, understand, and implement plans and blueprints.
- Translate plans and designer concepts into functional build, shows, and events.
- Assemble and install structures, equipment and infrastructure with minimal supervision.

- Maintains cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performs all duties in compliance with Six Flags safety guidelines and requirements and report all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision.

- Must have theatrical experience in one or more of the following: Scenic painter/artist, props, scenic carpenter or construction, rigging, special effects, decor, stage lighting or live sound reinforcement

Manufacturing Production- Reed City, MI
As a part of our manufacturing group, you will be responsible for supporting production packaging and processing operations, sanitation and participation in startup, changeover, and shutdown of operating equipment.
Shift hours:
- 8-hour shifts
- 2nd shift: 3 pm to 11 pm
- 3rd shift: 11 pm to 7 am
- Ability and willingness to work overtime, any shift, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, including 4 hours prior to start or end of shift
- Plant operation is 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
- Shift and Crew will be determined during first week of hire; days off likely will not fall on weekend days

Experience:
* Previous employment in a food industry setting is preferred
* Stable and dependable work history is required

Pay: $23.85/hr + $2/hr shift differential, dependent upon skills and experience. Weekend premium 20% more (+$4.77/hour). Lactalis offers very competitive pay, benefits and paid time off.
