What the Role Involves

• Taking ownership of the US rollout of a major procurement change program, including planning, oversight of risks and issues, and keeping delivery activities on track.
• Improving how the organisation buys goods and services by refining purchasing routes, strengthening digital buying tools, enhancing order quality, and ensuring product and supplier information is well‑maintained.

Knights Experience Team (kNEXT):

The University of Central Florida's (UCF's) the Knights Experience Team (kNEXT) primarily provides customer service to the Finance Business Centers (FBCs) and the Human Resources Business Centers (HRBC's) employees, assisting with various tasks as needed. kNEXT also provides administrative support services to staff across all colleges and divisions of the University. kNEXT is designed to reduce the administrative burden on individual colleges, consolidate transaction-based functions, create economies of scale, and improve backroom process efficiency so the colleges can better focus resources on their mission.

The team is made up of HR Specialists and Travel & Procurement Specialists, who will provide information and support across campus, reduce administrative burden, and empower employees to learn and grow. These Specialists will operate as campus experts on processes and procedures, support training and development, provide specialized reporting and analytics, and support central office transactions. All employees within kNEXT will also work to continuously improve processes and workflows.

The purpose of kNEXT is to ensure that the services provided meet or exceed expected performance levels and satisfy the needs of the faculty/staff/students (colleges/divisions).

The Opportunity:

The Travel & Procurement Specialist acts as the primary point of contact for all procurement-related and travel-related activities. The Travel & Procurement Specialist supports Travel & Procurement Coordinators within the Finance Business Centers (FBCs) by acting as experts on procurement-related and travel-related processes and procedures and provide training.

Responsibilities:

• Support requests for the procurement of goods and services ensuring applicable policies and regulations are adhered to and transactions are processed timely and properly reflect the receipt of goods or services.

Our client, a non-profit in Spartanburg is seeking a Procurement Coordinator to manage procurement activities and provide administrative support across all contracting processes. This role ensures goods and services are acquired efficiently, in compliance with HUD and agency policies, while maintaining accurate records and supporting internal partners throughout each stage of procurement.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with department leaders to identify procurement needs, ensure cost‑effective purchasing, and follow all HUD and procurement requirements.

The individual in this role also maintains stock and cleanliness of our surgical center recovery suites, coordinates receipt and release of donors, reviews medical records, conducts physical examination of donors, draws blood, preparing the recovery site, preparing the donor for recovery, recovering tissue, maintaining a sterile environment, to include aseptic technique.

The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $128,400 to $235,300. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $154,000 to $267,400. Career Opportunity

EdgeCore is seeking an experienced Procurement Associate to join its high-performing and growing Procurement team. This position will report directly to the Vice President of Procurement and will perform procurement and sourcing analysis, tactical buying, contract management and supplier management across the company. This individual will act as the procurement right hand for EdgeCore’s Design & Construction team.

Responsibilities

• Support and execute EdgeCore’s procurement strategy, including system and process optimization, sourcing, purchasing, and contract management
• Oversee tactical procurement activities, partnering with multiple business unit owners on RFP creation, vendor selection, contract negotiation, order implementation including delivery/ service tracking and overall supplier management
• Prioritize and balance stakeholder needs and client delivery timelines while also adhering to procurement processes
• Manage purchase requisitions and triage to the appropriate sourcing process based on spend and project complexity
• Drive supplier performance management initiatives, including coordinating regular supplier evaluations and Quarterly Business Reviews for key suppliers
• Conduct spend analysis to identify cost reduction and supplier efficiency opportunities
• Support procurement policy development and drive consistent adoption and execution

Your Experience and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Construction, Engineering or a similar field is preferred, but not required
• 3 - 5 years of experience in procurement, contract management, or similar professional experience. Experience in data centers, real estate, construction, architecture, site operations or facilities will also be an advantage.
• Strong understanding of sourcing activities from site development through construction turnover including but not limited to designers, architects, engineers, and general contractors.
• Experience working in E-Builder and/or Coupa is advantageous but not required.
• Deep knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present information in a compelling and concise format.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a high-pressure setting.
• Ability to demonstrate tact, discretion, confidentiality, and good judgement in handling sensitive and confidential matters and documentation.

The Role We Want You For

As the Senior Project Manager (Mechanical Procurement), you will lead complex HVAC/mechanical procurement programs while mentoring and developing junior team members. In addition to owning project buyout through closeout, you will strengthen supplier partnerships, drive continuous improvement in procurement processes, and help expand intercompany sales opportunities and national/strategic agreements.

The Specifics of the Role

• Lead mechanical procurement strategy for multiple projects and/or high-complexity packages; set priorities, standardize approach, and ensure consistent execution.
• Perform full Project Manager duties from award through closeout, including contracts/POs, submittals, releases, expediting, change management, invoicing, and closeout deliverables.
• Serve as a senior relationship manager for key OEMs, reps, and suppliers; negotiate strategic pricing, service/startup support, and delivery commitments.
• Coach, mentor, and develop Project Engineers/Project Managers: provide training, review work products (bid tabs, submittals, POs), and support growth plans.
• Partner with leadership to identify and pursue new mechanical procurement revenue opportunities (preferred vendor programs, national agreements, intercompany initiatives).
• Proactively manage risk on long-lead and high-impact items; develop mitigation plans and communicate status/escalations to stakeholders.
• Improve procurement tools and processes (templates, standard terms, lessons learned, closeout checklists) and share best practices across the team.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of mechanical construction and HVAC systems/equipment with the ability to lead procurement across design, fabrication, logistics, and field interfaces.
• 5+ years of procurement experience preferred; typically 8+ years in mechanical/HVAC procurement, estimating, project management, or related roles with increasing responsibility.
• Demonstrated leadership experience mentoring others and driving results across multiple concurrent projects.
• Advanced negotiation and contract skills; able to balance schedule, cost, risk, and relationship considerations.
• Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder-management skills; proficient with Excel and PM/procurement systems.
