Job Title: Communications Lead
Location: FishHawk, TEO or Downtown Tampa, FL
Duration: 18 Months (Possible Extension)
Schedule: Hybrid (2 days remote, 3 days onsite)
Description of Assignment:
The Communications Lead will participate in the development and delivery of internal and external communications plans, initiatives, and activities, as well as support the development and execution of communications strategies.
Responsibilities include developing communication plans aligned with corporate strategy and working collaboratively with Global Public Affairs teams to implement impactful strategies that enhance brand reputation, mitigate opposition, and increase engagement. This role also includes managing external agency resources.
This position will provide communication leadership to internal partners by developing and implementing employee experience strategies and communication plans, including brand storytelling, specialized messaging, ongoing communications, and crisis management.
What will you do:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate priorities into strategic communication plans (proactive and reactive)
- Work with Communications Delivery teams across platforms (websites, newsletters, social media, videos, webinars, etc.)
- Develop and execute digital communication strategies using analytics
- Partner with global functional leaders (HR, IT, Finance, Legal, etc.) to create consistent messaging
- Lead change management communication practices
- Develop executive-level content including articles, announcements, and presentations
- Ensure high-quality, engaging, and brand-aligned messaging
- Manage crisis communications and sensitive issues
- Support additional Public Affairs and Communications projects
What will you need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Political Science, Law, or related field
- 6+ years of experience developing and implementing communication plans
- 6+ years working across multiple communication channels
- Experience in corporate, PR agency, government, or trade association environments
- Experience managing crisis communications and sensitive issues
- Proficiency with communication tools and platforms
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Ability to work across cultures and global teams
- Project management experience
- Strong collaboration, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- High level of professionalism and business acumen
- Ability to manage confidential information
- Adaptability in a fast-paced environment
