Physician – NowCare Urgent Care
Bayview Physicians Group is a progressive, independent, multi-specialty physician group serving the Hampton Roads region of southeast coastal Virginia. We are currently seeking a Board-Certified/Board Eligible Family Medicine, Urgent Care, or Emergency Medicine Physician to join our team of experienced and collegial urgent care professionals through our NowCare Urgent Care Centers.
NowCare operates seven convenient locations across South Hampton Roads, all open daily from 8:00am to 8:00pm, providing walk in access to quality urgent care services. In addition to urgent care services, the Physician will deliver Occupational Health services as part of NowCare Urgent Cares offering for local employers.

Responsibilities:
As a Physician at NowCare Urgent Care, you will be responsible for delivering prompt, high-quality medical care in a fast-paced, outpatient setting:
- Provide evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for a variety of acute illness and injuries
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests including labs, EKGs, and X-rays
- Perform common urgent care procedures:
- Laceration repair (suturing/stapling)
- Incision and drainage
- Splinting and basic orthopedic care
- Foreign body removal
- Wound care and dressing changes
- Supervision of APPs
- To be DOT certified
- Conduct pre-employment, return-to-work, and DOT physicals (DOT certification required or expected).
- Evaluate and treat work-related injuries in compliance with OSHA and workers’ compensation guidelines.
- Perform and oversee drug and alcohol testing, including adherence to chain-of-custody procedures.

Team Collaboration & Leadership
o Partner with advanced practice providers (APPs), nurses, and allied health professionals to deliver comprehensive care.
o Participate in departmental initiatives, quality improvement projects, and hospital committees.
Documentation & Compliance
o Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant patient records.
o Follow hospital guidelines for billing, coding, and regulatory standards.
Qualifications/Requirements:
MD or DO degree.
Board certified/board eligible in pulmonary disease and critical care medicine.
Additional Sleep Medicine certification or interest in sleep medicine is preferred but not required.

Job Summary
