- Provide age-appropriate, direct patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) as a Cardiac Stepdown RN / Telemetry RN/n
- Monitor and manage patients on continuous cardiac telemetry, recognizing arrhythmias and initiating timely interventions per hospital protocols/n
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and cardiac-specific treatments safely and according to physician orders and facility standards/n
- Perform ongoing patient assessments, documentation, and handoffs to ensure continuity of care across units (PCU, CCU, Med-Surg)/n
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams—including physicians, respiratory therapists, case managers, and rehab—to coordinate care and discharge planning/n
- Assume leadership tasks as needed: delegation, supervision of support staff, and prioritization of patient assignments to maintain safe staffing and quality outcomes/n
- Maintain compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and facility policies governing patient care and safety/n
