Position Overview:

The Shipping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the complete shipping process for EDI customers within a multi-brand. This role ensures accurate order fulfillment, proper packaging, and timely shipments in accordance with daily shipping documents and guidelines. The position involves working closely with logistics management to maintain operational excellence and promptly resolve any shipping -related issues.

What You’ll Do:

• Experience working with EDI customers (Nordstrom, Belk, Bloomingdale’s, Dry Goods, Von Maur, Dillard’s, Zappos, etc.).
• Supervise daily shipping operations, including order picking, packing, labeling, and loading.
• Process and manage EDI accounts.
• Verify shipping documents such as bills of lading, packing lists, and invoices.
• Process EDI transactions (850, 855, 856, 810, etc.).
• Provide EDI support to internal departments regarding electronic orders.
• Monitor shipping schedules and carrier pickups for EDI customers.
• Supervise department staff by training employees and supporting their professional growth.
• Coordinate closely with the Logistics Manager to ensure monthly shipping targets are achieved.
• Schedule appointments and process different types of shipments (LTL, UPS, and FedEx).
• Ensure all EDI orders are packed in compliance with vendor routing instructions to minimize chargebacks.
• Maintain working knowledge of WMS (Warehouse Management Systems).
• Assist the customer service team with order status updates.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Who You Are:

• High school diploma or equivalent required (college degree preferred or equivalent logistics experience).
• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in logistics or a supervisory role.
• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
• Knowledge of shipping software, warehouse management systems (WMS), and logistics procedures.
• Excellent communication, analytical, decision-making, troubleshooting, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including Pivot Tables), Word, Outlook, and other MS Office applications.
• Strong practical problem-solving and technical skills.
• Ability to follow through on tasks, assignments, and job duties in a timely manner.
• Ability to work overtime during peak shipping periods.
