Position Overview:
We are seeking a Process Control Technician Specialist to provide hands-on support for the process control systems that drive our metal, alloy, and component-making facility. This role is designed for a skilled technician with experience in troubleshooting and maintaining PLCs, HMIs, and industrial process control systems.The ideal candidate will support daily plant operations, lead equipment-based improvements, and contribute to the implementation of OPEX projects and continuous improvement initiatives across a complex, high-tech manufacturing environment.
Essential Duties:
- Provide hands-on technical support for plant process control systems, including routine checks, basic maintenance, and troubleshooting equipment or system faults.
- Provide daily technical support for plant process control systems, including troubleshooting and maintaining PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, sensors, and safety systems to ensure smooth and safe operations.
- Respond to process control-related issues as part of an on-call rotation,including after-hours support as needed.
- Assist in implementing and maintaining standard operating procedures for process control systems and support response protocols.
- Support troubleshooting efforts led by engineers to minimize downtime and ensure continuous improvement of system performance.

- Read, interpret, and redline electrical schematics, P&IDs, panel layouts, and wiring diagrams for existing or modified systems.
- Support the programming, configuration, and maintenance of process control platforms including Rockwell (Studio 5000), FactoryTalk View, and Siemens TIA Portal.
- Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance of process control systems; perform software backups, maintain change logs, and document all control system activities.
- Interface regularly with operators, maintenance, engineering, and EHS teams to ensure process control systems meet operational and safety requirements.
- Assist with commissioning and startup of new or modified process control systems, ensuring compliance with performance specifications.
- Use diagnostic tools (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes, network analyzers) to test and troubleshoot control signals and communications.
- Collaborate with other technicians, operators, and engineering staff to support safe, efficient plant operations.
- Support training efforts for maintenance and operations staff to improve system knowledge and troubleshooting capabilities.
Basic Qualifications:
- Associate degree or equivalent technical certification in Electrical Engineering Technology, Industrial Automation, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience working with PLC and HMI-based process control systems in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in reading, interpreting, and modifying control system documentation such as electrical drawings and schematics.
- Hands-on experience with Rockwell (Allen-Bradley), Siemens, or similar process control platforms.
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols: EtherNet/IP, Profinet, Modbus TCP.
- Comfortable working in an industrial environment with chemical,mechanical, and thermal processes.

Job Summary
Provide professional Highly Protected Risk (HPR) loss control services to Tokio Marine America clients and Tokio Marine Management, Inc. Coordinates and conducts loss control management evaluations, physical surveys, loss analysis and training to assist Tokio Marine clients to improve and maintain loss control activities. Essential Job Functions

Role Summary
Weβre hiring an On-Site QA/QC Manager to lead the quality program on brownfield hyperscale data center constructionβwhere safety, uptime, and precision matter as much as speed. Youβll own electrical QA/QC planning and execution, drive rigorous documentation, and ensure installations meet strict client standards, contract requirements, and code while working in/around live critical environments. This role supports readiness for energization, commissioning, and IST with strong change control and zero-surprise turnover.
What Youβll Do
- Own and maintain the Project Quality Plan (PQP) tailored for brownfield constraints (phasing, outages, access controls, change control).
- Build and manage electrical Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), checklists, and hold/witness pointsβby system, room, and phase.
- Lead daily QA/QC field execution and verification against IFC drawings, approved submittals, vendor IOMs, RFIs, and method statements.
- Drive quality for the electrical critical path, including (as applicable):
- MV/LV distribution: switchgear, transformers, breakers, relays, terminations

Qualifications

Environmental Factors:
This position requires working in an environment that has a high amount of plant matter and pollen. Areas of the facility reach high/low temperatures with high humidity levels. Employees may have exposure to conditions such as dust, plant matter, and particles that affect the respiratory system, eyes, or skin, depending on department job assignments. Employees are required to wear protective gear and have the option to wear eye and ear protection. Certain areas of the facility use harsh chemicals for cleaning such as bleach and can have repetitive movements. Employees should be comfortable and capable of working under all of the above conditions.

β’ Lead investigations into inventory shrink, internal theft, fraud, cash discrepancies, and policy violations.
β’ Conduct interviews, analyze transaction data, review CCTV footage, and compile investigative findings.
β’ Plan, execute, and manage audits focused on inventory integrity and cash controls across retail locations,
including Risk Assessments.
β’ Evaluate compliance with company SOPs, cash handling procedures, and inventory processes.
β’ Identify control gaps and recommend corrective actions to mitigate risk and financial exposure.
β’ Monitor remediation efforts and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.

β’ Assess receiving, transfer, returns, and adjustment processes for accuracy and compliance.
β’ Review cash handling procedures, deposits, refunds, and POS transactions for irregularities.
β’ Investigate suspicious transactions, refund abuse, and potential fraud indicators.
β’ Develop and deliver training to store leadership on inventory and cash control best practices.
β’ Prepare detailed reports and present findings, trends, and recommendations to senior leadership.
β’ Collaborate with cross-functional partners to improve processes and strengthen controls.
β’ Support enterprise risk assessments and continuous improvement initiatives.
β’ Maintain confidentiality and ensure investigations comply with legal and HR guidelines.
- Responsible for updates, upgrades and maintenance of the following systems: Rail Operations Control System (ROCS); Predictive Arrival and Departure System (PADS), Positive Train Control (PTC) back-office systems, Traction Power Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) System and Rail Scheduling.
- Perform Quality Assurances and system engineering support of all back off systems including PTC office systems, Back Office Server (BOS), Rail Operations Control System (ROCS), Network Management System (NMS); Interoperable Train Control Message Server (ITCMS); Wayside Status Relay Service (WSRS), and the interfaces to all other operational systems.
- Develop, document, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), technical standards, and best practices for all train control and related systems to ensure consistency, safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Develop and implement training programs to upskill staff, mentoring team members at all levels on train control systems, operational procedures, and project management to strengthen technical capacity, foster skill development, and ensure succession planning.Β
- Ensure Caltrain systems meet Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) mandated interoperability requirements with all tenant railroads; ensure Caltrain train control systems are compatible with Association of American Railroads (AAR) standards; follow the ITC guidelines that Caltrain must maintain ?N-2? backwards compatible software versions.
- Manage complex and large-scale train control engineering projects as the Technical Lead for Caltrain.Β
- Manage the work of outside contractors and assist higher level Caltrain Directors and Executives in planning and evaluating the quantity and quality of work performed by subordinate staff.
- Supervise staff. Β Hire, mentor, and take appropriate corrective and/or disciplinary action. Β Ensure EEO policies and procedures are followed. Participate in selection of staff. - Establish and maintain work relationships with internal and external stakeholders to develop consensus on capital project work plans.
- Establish schedules and methods for providing train control system engineering design services on assigned capital projects; identify resource needs; review needs with appropriate management staff; allocate resources accordingly.
- Review and approve project schedules; assist in strategic planning; prepare status reports; coordinate project resources; communicate with all project participants on relevant issues; identify and resolve train control engineering issues.
- Provide general technical oversight of railroad train control systems.
- Perform system usage and performance analyses.Β
- Support Caltrain Configuration Management (CM) Manager on configuration control, prioritize system defects and corrective actions; participate in Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings as required.
- Direct, review, and approve the preparation of train control engineering designs, drawings, and specifications; identify and resolve technical engineering issues.
- Manage technical elements of the office systems warranty and long-term maintenance support service agreements.
- Review and approve operating manuals and procedures developed by various systems providers or vendors.
- Manage all technology refresh and software upgrades/updates and associated testing without interrupting regular railroad operations.
- Establish and lead a knowledge management framework to systematically capture, update, and share institutional knowledge through structured documentation, training programs, and knowledge transfer initiatives.
- Participate in the preparation and administration of the train control engineering program budget (Operating & Maintenance, and Capital); submit budget recommendations; monitor expenditures.
- Review consultant proposals and designs; recommend awards; conduct or participate in the pre-bid conferences prior to system contract awards.

In lieu of a degree, work-related experience that demonstrates the skills and experience necessary to perform this role will be accepted. Development of the required knowledge and abilities is typically obtained through but not limited to:
- Bachelor?s degree in electrical/electronics, computer science, or a related field.
- Five (5) years of railroad industry experience in Train Control System and SCADA system development and maintenance.
- Two (2) years supervisory experience
- Knowledge and experience with AIMCore Product/Software a plus.
- Possesses a broad interdisciplinary knowledge of supervisory train control, wayside signal, highway crossing warning system, predictive and arrival system, traffic signal control, traction power substations and distribution, SCADA, server systems, virtualized server architectures, databases, cloud server systems, networking, etc.
- Knowledge of operating systems (UNIX, Linux, Microsoft)
- Knowledge of VHF and UHF radio voice and data communications, information assurance, data security and networking technologies.
- Experience with Configuration Management and Quality Assurance Systems.
- Ability to Interpret and revise engineering plans, drawings, and specifications.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
