This includes, but is not limited to, production/packaging areas and related equipment, warehouse areas, office areas, and grounds.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
1. Familiar with the manufacturing operation, equipment and support systems of the company and will set up
systems to respond to maintenance concerns regarding them.
2. Cooperate with other management personnel in formulating and establishing company policies, operating procedures, and goals.
3. Reviews technical problems and procedures of departments and recommends solutions to problems or changes in procedures.
4. Responsible for setting up and managing systems for preventative maintenance for the manufacturing
operation.
5. Recruits and develops staff to provide the necessary skills to support the maintenance responsibilities for
the plant.
6. Continues to access skill levels and recommends developmental activities as appropriate.
7. Assesses systems for re-engineering or troubleshooting at both hands-on levels and engineering levels.
8. Participates actively as a member of plant management team. Provides necessary support for the other plant functions/activities as determined by the Assistant Maintenance Manager.
9. Continually evaluates the capabilities of the packaging & production Maintenance department relating to equipment, tools and other items necessary to provide a satisfactory level of service to the plant.
10. Recommend upgrades as appropriate.
11. Exercises project management responsibilities including coordination of contractor activities, communication to/among participants, budgeting and reporting if project has been delegated to them.
12. Continually analyzes spending with the Maintenance Manager/Plant Engineer. Ensure proper documentation is provided for justification.
13. Promotes employee relations within the department.
14. Proactively communicates and responds to employee questions and concerns.
15. Develop a variety of systems and methods to measure effectiveness of effort.
16. Continuously seeks new ways of improving performance and controlling costs.
17. Reports problems and/or concerns to the Assistant Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Manager, and/or Plant Engineer.
18. Plans and schedules manpower consistent with production requirements. Continuously evaluates manpower to attempt to reduce labor costs.
Requirements
Qualifications:
* Technical degree in Technical/Engineering discipline preferred.
* Dairy or other food related experience preferred.
* Attention to detail and accuracy in work required.
* Personal qualities of tact, dependability, and ability to work well with others required.
* Strong communication abilities, written and verbal.
* Knowledge of computer software.
* Ability to administrate Maintenance Department projects and run projects effectively with attention to budget and scope as assigned by Maintenance Management.
* Ability to assist Maintenance Manager/Assistant Manager in adherence to department budget issues.
Education and/or Experience:
* High School Diploma/GED required.
* Technical degree in Technical/Engineering discipline preferred.

The Associate Maintenance Manager will be responsible for the safe maintenance, repair or replacement of plant equipment and systems, to ensure maximum production quantity and quality, while supporting the policies, goals, and objectives of the Company. This position will partner with the Maintenance Manager to manage the plant maintenance program based on best practices, with an emphasis on the planning/scheduling of preventive, and predictive maintenance to improve equipment reliability by reducing machine downtime and unscheduled maintenance.
The Associate Maintenance Manager will partner with the Maintenance Manager to manage maintenance employees on assigned shifts to ensure the effective delivery of maintenance services and support production. This includes planning, assigning, and directing work, addressing product and employee complaints and resolving problems. The Associate Maintenance Manager will carry out managerial responsibilities in accordance with Company policies, OSHA regulations and applicable laws.

- Maintains facility and assets to meet regulatory guidelines (USDA, FDA, OSHA, EPA).

- Ensures the completion of all paperwork including maintenance records, incident reports and investigations and others assigned by the Maintenance Manager.
- Maintains all technical documentation on PLC's, instrumentation, and equipment (blueprints, manuals, SOP's, maintenance procedures, PM's, inventory/parts purchasing).
- Manage, train, and develop maintenance team members?through mentoring/coaching and coordination of individual developmental plans. Partners with HR on employee relations issues.
- Communicate directly with the operations and quality teams to coordinate maintenance and repair work in process areas.
- Partners with site leadership team to reduce expenses which include labor, shrink, ingredients, packaging, supplies, inventory, maintenance and overhead to acceptable levels.
- Drives efficiency improvements by engaging maintenance team members, analyzing maintenance schedule of operations, key metrics and processes.
- Manages production downtime reports, determines opportunities and creates an action plan to increase efficiencies.

The Maintenance Supervisor will provide leadership to the Maintenance Department in establishing, organizing, planning, and implementing maintenance programs which will support the maintenance strategy across all three shifts of the operation.

They will provide back-up support for projects as needed.
- This position will know, understand, enforce, and comply with the sites Environmental Policy. This position targets to support and introduce initiatives to reduce our environmental footprint.
- The supervisor ensures maintenance supports production of high-quality food products. Leveraging team members to propose and execute work that assures compliance to specifications and increases consumer satisfaction.
- The position keeps eye on cash flow per budget (MRO and labor), proposing capital projects where appropriate. Manage stockroom costs and best practices to site practices. Ensure critical spare parts and materials are available as needed.
- The supervisor will support and propose new initiatives to reduce utility costs. This can include through improved efficiency and procurement practices.
- The supervisor will pursue new technologies to improve operations on the processing lines, packaging lines and utilities equipment.
- Is critical to following up with facility team leaders on continuous cost reduction/process improvement ideas and performing other responsibilities as the need arises.
- The position ensures the department is properly trained on how to execute work safely and drive improvements to eliminate any safety risks across the factory.
- Manage properly conservation systems (alarms, security, sprinklers, fire brigade, etc.).
- The candidate must comply with all federal, state, local and company regulatory guidelines. Ensure compliance to PSM guidelines. Be a key member of a HAZMAT team.

The Maintenance Lead provides safety and servant-based leadership to achieve breakthrough production results on their line/ system. The Maintenance Lead is responsible for building capability in Operating Teams and Equipment Owners. The Maintenance Lead works to eliminate losses following a rigorous daily process that is data driven and focused on root cause elimination. The Maintenance Lead is accountable to improve the reliability of the system through ownership in defect handling, breakdown elimination and planning and scheduling. Job Summary:
This role supports the Maintenance and Utilities Manager by leading, coordinating, and optimizing maintenance teams across the facility-including production, preprocessing, clean in place (CIP) equipment, facilities/utilities, and environmental programs. Job Responsibilities & Tasks:
Maintenance Operations Leadership
* Oversee all utilities of maintenance operations and serve as a primary departmental point of contact.
* Ensure adherence to safety, food safety, GMP, and regulatory standards; promote accountability and disciplined execution of procedures
* Communicate effectively with management, coworkers, and direct reports to coordinate activities and share information.
* Allocate personnel and schedule work based on plant priorities
* Ensure the implementation of best practices between lines such that all workshops benefit from lessons learned throughout the plant.
* Facilitate sharing and implementation of maintenance best practices within Nampa and across other company plants.
Preventative Maintenance & Continuous Improvement
* Oversee the Preventive Maintenance (PM) program and partner with Technical Services for optimization. Plan, purchase, kit, and schedule PMs for the utility technicians.
* Use factbased root cause analysis to implement corrective actions and achieve performance and financial targets.
* Apply 5S, Lean, and continuous improvement principles to drive operational excellence
* Effective use of CMMS for datadriven decisionmaking and cost improvement.
Workshop & Repairable Management
* Monitor work areas to ensure compliance with safety protocols, including OSHA and safety requirements.
* Manage repairable parts activities including test bench operations, inventory, KPIs, and quality of repaired components.
* Lead the implementation and sustainability of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) initiatives within the plant
* Collaborate with direct manager and the Technical Services manager to ensure proper budgeting, planning and spending associated with maintenance consumables, spare parts, and maintenance services.
Facilities, Utilities, and Environmental Programs
* Oversee maintenance activities for facilities, utilities, and environmental compliance programs
* Ensure proper monitoring of utilities metrics (wastewater, electrical, nitrogen, boilers, HVAC, compressed air, life safety systems) and coordinate optimization initiatives
* Ensure compliance with environmental permits and regulatory requirements.
Team & Performance Management
* Lead and develop Maintenance Supervisors to ensure equipment reliability and team competency
* Oversee maintenance training processes and mechanic qualification pathways.
* Identify and propose training programs to strengthen team skill sets.
* Partner with HR to address personnel issues and support consistent application of company policies.
CrossFunctional Collaboration & Leadership

EDUCATION

Job Summary:
The Maintenance Technician for Materne North America is responsible for performing and coordinating maintenance for the plant utility systems and pre-processing production equipment. This position will also be a resource to assist with general facility and property maintenance for the Nampa, ID plant.
Job Responsibilities & Tasks:
- Maintain efficient operation of the facility utility systems (wastewater, HVAC, boilers, nitrogen refrigeration system, refrigeration equipment, compressed air, steam, and access control) and troubleshoot and repair automated high speed manufacturing equipment
- Complete work orders and document daily work in CMMS
- Effectively manage projects with regard to time, safety, and resources.
- Work with computer interface to monitor equipment
- Complete paperwork and documentation
- Establish and maintain effective Preventive Maintenance programs and regulatory compliance programs
- Occasionally perform and/or coordinate maintenance and basic repairs for the building and facilities.
- Occasionally perform and/or coordinate maintenance of the grounds and property, including waste removal, snow removal, landscaping, etc.
- Work on food processing equipment; conveyors, augers, pumps, belts, grinders, choppers, mixers.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues to determine component replacement or programming issues.
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED is required. Additional technical education beyond high school is highly desired.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3years ofexperience in amaintenancerole wheretroubleshooting and repairingutility systems and machines were main job functions, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Previous experience working in the food industry is a preferred.
- Certified Boiler Operator or experience operating gas fired boiler systems is strongly preferred, in addition to experience maintaining at least 2 of the following utility systems:
- Waste Water
- Nitrogen Refrigeration
- Building Management System and Access Control
- Steam
- Compressed Air
- HVAC
Knowledge/Skills:
- Strong mechanical and/or electrical background
- Must have experience reading electrical schematics
- Ability to understand and see "the big picture" and work independently
- Moderate computer skills, Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
- Must have past welding experience in carbon and stainless-steel welding
- Must give high attention to detail and consistently maintain high standards of performance
- Able to communicate effectively in English, including verbal, reading, and writing
- Basic math skills, including competency with weights and measures
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able lift up to 40 lbs. regularly
- Must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including safety shoes and hearing protection.
- Must be able to work up to 12 hours per day and be on one's feet for extended periods of time, up to 12 hours
- Must be able to walk up and down stairs several times per shift
- Must be able to safely bend, squat, kneel and crawl in, on, or under machinery as needed

Key responsibilities for this position include:
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical devices such as fuses, motors, motor starters, proximity switches, circuit breakers, receptacles and plugs. Note: PLC experience is a plus.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical devices such as centrifugal and positive displacement pumps, roller conveyors, belt conveyors, palletizers, sanitary and non-sanitary valves, Fillers, check weighers, metal detectors, gearboxes, bearings, seals and etc.
- Ability to use electrical equipment such as a volt meter and amp meter to determine electrical malfunctions on fuses, motors, motor starters and switches.
- Use proper tools for aligning sprockets, sheaves and couplings on fans, motor drives, and pumps. Be able to track conveyor belts and align shafts.

Maintenance Technician Level III will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting and repairing manufacturing and packaging equipment through a broad knowledge base of manufacturing skills in electrical, controls and mechanical disciplines involving work of a varied nature; resulting in efficient and reliable operation of plant facilities.

Level III Responsibilities
Mechanical: Greasing and changing parts, making movement adjustments to machinery, aligning linear bearings and motors; drilling, grinding and cutting, basic lathe and milling, welding and modifying parts.
Electrical: Reading schematics, using voltmeters, troubleshooting relay and PLC logic panels.
Pneumatic: Adjusting flows, change/repair components
Plumbing: Replace PVC, copper, galvanized and/or steel piping including making modifications.

- Associate's Degree from a two-year college or technical school preferred.
- 2+ years' related experience in maintenance required.

Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor
Reports to: Maintenance Manager
Number of Direct Reports: 4-5
Job Summary:
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading a Reliability Centered team of Maintenance Technicians and all Maintenance related operations on a specified shift within the plant. This person may be asked to provide additional leadership coverage as required.
Job Responsibilities & Tasks:
- Manage your environment and team's safety
- Monitor work areas to ensure compliance with safety protocols, including OSHA and safety requirements.
- Monitor work areas to ensure compliance with food safety and quality protocols.
- Enforce Materne North America policies, standards and procedures, ensuring fair and consistent application and employee accountability.
- Oversee Maintenance related Operations
- Communicate with management, co-workers, and direct reports to coordinate work activities and share information
- Deliver action plans developed from fact and data-based root cause analysis and enforce standards defined by workshop managers.
- Enforce 5S principles, support Continuous Improvement initiatives, and implement Lean Manufacturing principles to ensure World Class Performance.
- Manage performance
- Manage the work and performance of a team of Maintenance Technicians, ensuring that equipment and plant are always in operational condition.
- Ensure completion of scheduled Preventative Maintenance tasks and corrective Work Orders.
- Schedule Work Orders using CMMS.
- Provide Corrective Action as necessary.
- Prioritize repairs that occur during production.
- Track Maintenance KPIs as assigned.
- Oversee troubleshooting, Corrective Repairs and Preventative Maintenance.
- Utilize Predictive Maintenance technologies to improve MTBF.
- Manage the inventory and optimize use of spare parts for an assigned work area.
- Oversee training and qualification of new and current Maintenance Technicians.
- Develop employee competencies and provide detailed and fact-based feedback.
- Perform performance evaluations of your team.
- Cross-functional Projects
- Provide area guidance based on experience, system knowledge and equipment function.
- Systems include but not limited to: pre-processing, production, packaging, palletizing, WWTP, Boilers, refrigeration, HVAC and plant utility systems.
- Partner with the Production team on assigned shift to ensure organizational teamwork.
- Work with the Production Supervisor to ensure plant operational needs are met.
- Oversee other Maintenance teams in the absence of that team's supervisor.
- Provide additional support to Operations in the absence of partnered Production supervisor.
- Partner with human resources in raising and resolving employee personnel issues.
- Lead and/or participate in investigations, perform Root Cause Analysis and work with Plant Leadership to implement corrective action to eliminate conic issues.
- Drive Continuous Improvement
- Identify, justify and propose improvements to machines and Maintenance processes which positively impacts safety, food safety, quality and operational efficiency.
- All other duties as assigned
Position Requirements:
EDUCATION
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field preferred
- Combination of education and experience will be considered
EXPERIENCE
- 5+ years of experience in Maintenance within a manufacturing environment
- 1-3 years of experience as a Maintenance Supervisor preferred
- Food or pharmaceutical industry manufacturing experience is strongly preferred
SKILLS
- Ability to understand technical processes and automated mechanical equipment.
- Strong background in preventative Maintenance and repair of industrial manufacturing equipment.
- Ability to demonstrate logic and reason to identify problems and offer solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to meet operational goals while also fostering a positive work environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to employee safety and food safety.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, leadership, training and coaching skills.
- Microsoft office proficiency.
- PLC experience is highly desired.
PHYSICAL & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. regularly.
- Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Must be able work in normal office conditions and in the manufacturing plant.
- Must be able to work a minimum of 12 hours per day and be on his/her feet for extended periods of time.
