SUMMARY: To prepare and stage press or laminator jobs. Lead shift Prepress personnel on shift tasks and day-to-day operations. Retrieve daily production schedule that identifies which job will run, quantities, priorities, etc. Interpret and act upon information. Lead Prepress personnel are used in any capacity needed to stage items at any machine. They may retrieve and prepare cylinders for press run and after the press run, clean the cylinders and store them. All these functions must be performed in the safest, most effective and efficient manner while adhering to established SOP's and quality standards.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Facilitate on the job training and instruction for team members on the correct use of tools and equipment to ensure proper safety and operating procedures are followed.
  • Actively participate and embrace in the SPOT Safety Program fundamentals and adhere to all safety guidelines and rules to aid APC's efforts to achieve a zero-accident rate.
  • Participate as a Subject Matter Expert in developing, understanding, and following Standard Operating Procedures and or training documentation.
  • Print and understand each job's Job Jacket, Print Specification, and Manufacturing Specification and take to the press.
  • Retrieve daily production schedule that identifies which job will run, quantities, priorities, etc. Interpret and act upon information.
  • Detect, report, and resolve all missing or substandard machine parts.
  • Use an automated storage system terminal to retrieve and return cylinders and anilox to storage.
  • Assemble and transport print cylinders and aniloxes between printing press and prepress departments.
  • Place cylinders on assembly table and install the gears and journals. Install the pans, applicator pipes, end shields, splash guards and cylinders into the carriage units.
  • Return the units to prepress, remove the parts, clean up the cylinders, and store them back into the storage system after a job has run.
  • Aid on press set-ups as needed. Assist miscellaneous housekeeping and cleaning responsibilities.
  • Complete required reports and paperwork. Use a computer terminal.
  • Perform required cleaning tasks - some daily, weekly or monthly requirements.
  • Obtain Power Industrial Truck license(s).
  • Load/unload trucks at shipping dock.
  • Complete necessary paperwork needed for to track all cylinder movement.
  • Complete PSM training and be able to perform all work in the washroom.
  • Effectively communicate with coworkers throughout all shifts.
  • Attend and participate in all company mandated meetings.
  • Business travel may be required.
  • Any other duties as assigned.

Major Functions and Scope:


1. Leadership & Personnel Management

· Supervise hourly maintenance personnel involved in maintenance, repair, programming, and service of plant facilities and equipment.

· Ensure Preventive Maintenance Program execution and identify opportunities to improve equipment performance and reduce downtime.


3. Troubleshooting & Technical Support

· Troubleshoot press equipment, dies, and related process issues to ensure tile quality and maximize press throughput.

· Analyze equipment problems and determine corrective actions that minimize downtime, lower costs, and improve yield.

· Recommend improvements to systems, processes, or equipment; implement approved changes.


4. Operations & Cross‑Functional Support

· Support Operations Department as needed to maintain production flow and meet performance targets.

· Collaborate with other departments (Safety, Quality, Operations, Corporate) to resolve issues and coordinate activities.

· Assist with spare parts management to ensure availability of critical components.


5. Safety & Environmental Compliance

· Ensure all safety and environmental regulations, policies, and standards are followed.

· Perform or support safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments.

· Promote safe work practices and reinforce compliance with procedures such as Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), machine guarding, and PPE use.


6. Planning, Documentation & Reporting · Collect and record data including requisitions, labor hours, work tags, PM documentation, and machine records. · Ensure the completion and accuracy of preventive maintenance work orders and documentation. · Provide input to improve maintenance planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.

7. Education and Knowledge:

This position is responsible for the successful ingress of client data into Press Ganey databases. Client data is used to generate surveys (mail, phone and email) and to capture patient, employee and demographics for.

Job Duties:

  • Creating new and updating existing InfoTurn import templates: Working in the TESTINFO & INFOTURN databases to create templates that will capture records from client uploads. Writing logical expressions to pull data from the files as necessary. Working with Account Managers and client IT contacts to verify upload settings such as languages, sampling, precodes, etc... Using tools to test and validate data. Submits for quality inspection by Senior/Lead EDI. Create FTP account and train client on the transmission process. Monitor uploads after implementation to ensure data imports are successful.
  • EDI Cases: works independently to address open EDI cases. Writes advanced SQL statements to troubleshoot and define error causes. Reviews and deciphers FTP Server logs to troubleshoot and resolve advanced connection issues. Removes/alters data residing in the InfoTurn database and coordinates approval from appropriate departments (i.e. InfoTurn, Public Reporting, DAR, Client Experience). Upon request from Client Experience, Patient Advisory Services, Public Reporting or the client, the Senior EDI researches uploaded data concerning records processed, duplicates, errors, mailed, undeliverable, data integrity, FTP connection issues, etc... via V-Train (SQL), Intranet reports, Modify demograph, File Import Explorer, Ppatdemo, File Parser, Ultra-Edit, WS_FTP and/or visual inspection of the imported files.
  • Communication: Work with both client and PG staff to coordinate the receipt of test data, data-mapping, and live updates. Explain upload methods and required changes to data. Document and communicate account status to client contacts, Client Experience, Public Reporting and Sales.
  • Serve as the assigned EDI resource for large enterprise clients. Manage onboarding of new enterprise clients. Manage and implement newly purchased services and changes to existing client file layout(s). Attend scheduled, recurring and impromptu meetings regarding implementation and service issues. Provide ongoing support for all transmission, configuration and data integrity issues.
  • Complete SRF update requests: Update import templates according to custom SRF changes not performed by SRF automation. Including add/remove languages, exclusions, custom expressions, custom lookups, etc... Test and validate data by importing data into the test info database and review stored data to assure accuracy.
  • Provide phone support: Answer incoming client phone calls. Address issues relating to imported data, upload file errors, FTP transmission and connection errors. Provide second level support for issues escalated from Associate EDI Specialists and EDI Specialists. Provide direction, correct configuration issues or escalate to Lead EDI, EDI Manager or development teams. Attend scheduled client conference calls.
  • Training and mentoring: Assist with training EDI new hires on various subject matters including PG developed applications, off the shelf applications, database structure and PG/EDI policies and procedures. Assist with training new hire Account Managers on Import Maintenance/SRF, CRM and Sales Force. Mentor Associate EDI Specialists, EDI Specialists and Account Managers as needed. Address questions from other departments.
  • Participates in planning, user acceptance testing and testing of deployed bug fixes/feature enhancements. Works with developer teams to test and troubleshoot new software/hardware technology products.

Job Overview

The Client Support Specialist is a client facing position. The Specialist I operates as a member of a team to implement, configure, and maintain client data ingress, surveying and reporting throughout the lifecycle of the client's partnership with Press Ganey. With knowledge in PG applications and business procedures, they are responsible for gathering client specific requirements to configure platforms for surveying.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
As a Screen Print Operator, this role is responsible for the general operation and maintenance of a press machine. The Press Operator responds to work orders, set up, operates, troubleshoots press and performs direct physical activity to complete work order in a timely manner while meeting the customer's quality specifications.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Production Associates ensure that each athlete we serve looks their best and compete with confidence. You'll work in one of the following roles: Digital Print, Embroidery, or Screen Print. General responsibilities include:
  • Review work orders, observes specifications and any special notes and prepares work area to print multi-color work on garments.
  • Ensure that your machine and work area is cleaned during their shift and before shift end, including disposing all trash and plastic bags, cleaning ink spills, clean all used screens and squeegees by scrapping off excess ink and put in the proper area.
  • Maintenance of the machine includes ensuring that the press is kept clean and wiped down with press wash at least once per week.
  • Utilize all personal protective equipment as required for personal safety and the safety of their peers.
