SUMMARY
Directs the activities of the Machine Support group. Responsible for maintaining production schedules and ensuring that quality standards are adhered to by the group.

The ME/IE Manager is the βsite technology leaderβ of Jabilβs manufacturing processes and systems, which is designed to deliver superior performance and operational efficiency. The ME/IE Manager supports Operationβs business development effort with current and potential customers, and development / implementation of both site a global ME/IE strategies. Responsible for the establishment of optional manufacturing methods and processes for the organizationβs production lines. Lead and motivate a large group of Engineers whose primary responsibility is to define and implement complete manufacturing processes. Provides ongoing review of the effective utilization of equipment, production methods, equipment layout, personnel, and material flow. Forecast Development and Accuracy:
Β· Prepare timely forecasts for the department.

Education

Experience
- 5 years of EHS experience in a manager level position

- Expert knowledge of ISO 14001 and 45001 Standard and system requirements.
- Knowledge and experience of National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) requirements, specifically NFPA 70E.

Job PurposeTo contribute to the development of functioning prototypes that will eventually become production ATV/SxS vehicles, researching and applying new technologies to support business targets and maintaining global vehicle product quality .
Key Accountabilities- Develop complex component and system layouts for ATV/SxS prototype vehicles using computer-aided design software that achieve concept targets, function requirements, and manufacturing requisites with limited supervision. Communicate specification requirements and manufacturing control points via prototype and production drawings that result in setting the final specifications of global ATV & SxS new models and mass production vehicles. Recruitment and Retention:- Recruit, interview, and hire Assistant Test Engineering Managers.
- Communicate criteria to recruiters for Test Engineer and Test Management position candidates.
- Coach Test Engineering Managers in the interviewing/hiring process.
- Monitor team member turnover; identify key factors that can be improved; make improvements.
Employee and Team Development:
- Identify individual and team strengths and development needs on an ongoing basis.
- Create and/or validate training curriculum in area of responsibility.
- Coach and mentor Test Engineering staff to deliver excellence to every internal and external customer.
- Create and manage succession plans for Test Engineering and Test Management functions.
Performance Management:
- Establish clear measurable goals and objectives by which to determine individual and team results (i.e., operational metrics, results against project timelines, training documentation, attendance records, knowledge of operational roles and responsibilities, personal development goals).
- Solicit ongoing feedback from Workcell Manager (WCM), Business Unit Manager (BUM), peers, and team members on team memberβs contribution to the Workcell team. Provide ongoing coaching and counseling to team members based on feedback.

- Provide regular updates to BUM, WCM, and Operations Manager on the execution of the strategy.
Cost Management:
- Identify creative ways to reduce costs by streamlining processes and systems (i.e., modification of responsibilities or consolidation of tasks, elimination of non-value-added processes, or complete re-engineering of processes and systems).
- Utilize tools to monitor departmental cost and cost trends, striving continuously to improve value.
- Provide feedback to peers (BUMs, WCMs, Functional Managers (FMs) on cost and cost trends.
Forecast Development and Accuracy:
- Prepare timely forecasts for the department.
- Compare forward forecast results to historical actual results for trend assessment and analysis.

Education:
- Bachelorβs degree in electrical engineering preferred.
- Or a combination of education, experience, and/or training.
Experience:
- Minimum of 7 yearsβ work-related experience, minimum of 5 years management experience required.
- Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and communicate regarding common scientific and/or technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
- Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
- Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Jabilβs software packages.
