GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will provide the urology patient and their family with continuity of care. The APP will act as an integral part of the outpatient care team. The practitioner will also act as an educator and a liaison to other health care providers providing care across the care continuum. This position will be a part of a Provider Pod Care Team Model and will work collaboratively with assigned Urologists in the practice.

Expected work hours are Monday through Friday, 8am ? 5pm.

The anticipated start date for these positions is April 2026.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

General Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Performs complete evaluations on patients.
  • Orders and interprets appropriate lab, x-ray and special studies.
  • Establishes a working diagnosis based upon acquired data.
  • Develops a treatment plan for urological conditions in accordance with current urology practice and in conjunction with the urologist.
  • Implements therapeutic intervention.
  • Provides appropriate follow-up care.
  • Exercises judgment on conditions requiring consultation, referral or evaluation by the supervising urologist or other healthcare professionals.
  • As part of the care team, sees post-operative patients on behalf of assigned Urologic surgeon. Collaborates with supervising surgeon on patient care as needed

Office Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Sees follow-up patients and provides problem-oriented intervention for their urological conditions, assists in care, treatment and follow-up as needed.
  • Performs and/or assists in office procedures, including transrectal ultrasound (TRUS) volume studies, urodynamics, cystoscopies, post-void residual (PVRs) evals, difficult catheterizations, post-op voiding trails and other necessary procedures.
  • Orders and interprets lab, x-ray, special studies and clinical procedures and provides appropriate care and follow-up.
  • Performs on-call duties for urology.
  • Evaluates, screens and counsel patients on health maintenance and promotes utilization of community resources.
  • Manages databases.
  • Performs quality assurance.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Current Rhode Island licensure as a Certified Registered Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner
  • Minimum of 2 years acute or ambulatory care experience as Advanced Practice Provider required. Urology experience preferred.
  • Current DEA licensure
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Desire to learn and work in Urology
  • Interest in continuous learning and willingness to work across several Urologic subspecialties as needed.

Department Details:

UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital is the region's premier provider of obstetric and neonatal care with more than 10,000 births occurring each year. The hospital also serves as the regional referral center for high-risk maternal care and fetal therapy, providing physicians and hospitals with access to the highest level of resources. Specialists in neonatology, pediatrics, surgery, genetics, ultrasound, and maternal-fetal medicine work together in multidisciplinary teams to provide the best possible care for each patient.

The Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), at Magee-Womens treats more than 1,700 critically ill newborns annually. An attending neonatologist is present in the NICU, at all times, in order to supervise patient care. The NICU is equipped with a total of 83 beds, including 48 private rooms and three open-bay pods (located within the NICU, on the 2700 unit, and on the 2800 unit). With private bays that utilize solid walls instead of glass or curtains. The privacy of these walls enhances Magee?s family centered care philosophy and allows for increased family interaction with baby, nurses, and support staff. With its own triage area, the NICU is able to stabilize newly admitted patients before being transferred into a private room.

About Our Team:

This Level III unit is staffed by highly trained neonatal specialists. This team includes neonatologists, neonatal nurse practitioners, physician assistants, registered nurses, nutritionists, developmental specialists, pharmacists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, a neonatal transportation team, and designated neonatal respiratory therapists. The organizational collaborative efforts of Magee and UPMC Children?s Hospital of Pittsburgh allow Magee?s patients to be supported by UPMC Children's medical team. This partnership enables patients requiring surgical intervention or extensive consultation to be transported to Children's for further management. As a regional referral center for high-risk maternal and fetal care, Magee provides physicians and hospitals across the tri-state area with access to the highest level of resources, resulting in the best possible care for patients.

Pediatric APP Fellowship Program:

The UPMC Pediatric Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Fellowship Program is dedicated to advancing UPMC as the premier educational setting for producing excellence in patient care delivery through an innovative and world-class clinical curriculum specifically tailored to prepare the physician assistant and nurse practitioner to practice in an evolving and increasingly complex health care market.

The UPMC Pediatric APP Fellowship Program cultivates a mastery of pediatric fundamentals including acute care, ambulatory care, procedure performance, and principles of pediatric subspecialty medicine. The Pediatric APP Fellows are employed, paid learners with the goal to provide the manual skill, fundamental knowledge, and critical thinking skills needed to make sound clinical judgments on a daily basis. The role of the Neonatal APP encompasses leadership, partnership, collaboration, and supervision. Atrius Health is seeking recently graduated or those new to primary care Nurse Practitioner candidates to join an APC Collaborative Teaching Pod within our Internal Medicine Department.

SUMMARY

The APC Collaborative Teaching Pod is a unique and innovative opportunity for learning value-based primary care. The incumbent will work with three-four advanced practice clinicians who are either new graduates or new to primary care. This team or ?pod? will work together to co-manage a panel of patients, supported by a supervising physician and a designated MD or APC preceptor for each session. Didactic sessions will occur twice a month along with opportunities to learn from colleagues in medical specialties. The teaching pod is a one-year commitment with the potential for job placement within Atrius Health or Reliant Medical Group after successful completion of the program. Placement in a permanent position will depend on hiring needs within the respective organizations at that time.

The incumbent is a certified nurse practitioner (NP) who possesses advanced training/skills in assessing, diagnosing, and treating the patient with both chronic and acute illness and disease. Works in a collaborative team practice that recognizes the patient as the central focus. Serves as a patient educator in areas of specialization.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Diagnoses and treats acute and chronic illnesses that are of an appropriate level of complexity for the knowledge and experience of the NP.
  • Orders and interprets laboratory work and other diagnostic studies. Develops and implements a plan of care to address the illness, which may include prescribing medications and/or other treatments. May refer patient to subspecialty physicians.
  • Teaches and counsels individuals and groups regarding specific health care needs. Serves as an educator in areas of specialization (e.g. family planning, weight loss, smoking cessation).
  • May serve as the representative care provider for a patient with a stated preference or as appropriate to the practitioner?s area of specialization. Develops and implements a comprehensive plan of care for these patients, taking into account social, emotional, and developmental needs, as well as all current medical management practices.
  • Communicates issues related to patient care with PCP. Collaborates with PCP in provision of patient care.
  • Participates in department and organizational clinical care initiatives.
  • Maintains BLS certification.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS

Graduate of a State-approved school of Nursing and Nurse Practitioner program. Master of Science degree and Nurse Practitioner certification in an area of specialty required. Possess a current license to practice as a professional nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and authorization to practice in the expanded role. Possession and maintenance of or eligibility for DEA and Mass DPH Controlled Substances Registration. American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required based on specialty.

EXPERIENCE

This position is intended for Nurse Practitioners without/with limited prior Primary Care experience.

About the Department:

Mercy Hospital South Emergency Department is known for its exceptional teamwork and abundant learning opportunities. Our ED includes triage, behavioral health, and super track areas. We are a Level 2 Trauma Center, Level 1 Stroke and STEMI center, with Comprehensive Stroke Certification. We treat all patients, from adults to pediatrics, and handle cases ranging from low acuity to critical care.

The project is scheduled for completion in 2027, increasing the ED's size to over 65,000 square feet from the current 39,000 square feet.

Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current Missouri RN license and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

Job Details Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Solution Architect – Agentic AI to design and deliver transformative AI-driven solutions that streamline enterprise processes and generate measurable business value.

Leveraging deep expertise in agentic AI, multi-agent orchestration, and generative AI, this role will architect secure, scalable, and production-ready solutions that automate manual tasks, enable AI-assisted or autonomous workflows, and optimize outcomes across critical functions such as IT, HR, Finance, and Operations.

Qualifications Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or related field.

10+ years of experience in solution architecture, automation, or AI platforms.

3+ years designing and deploying production-grade agentic AI solutions with multi-agent orchestration at enterprise scale.

Proven success integrating AI agents with business-critical systems (ERP, CRM, ITSM) and workflows.

Expertise in generative AI, agent autonomy, tool integration, and human-in-the-loop design.
