Surface Water Intern

Do you have a science background and love hands-on field work? The City of Bothell is seeking a Surface Water Intern to assist with water quality monitoring, field inspections, GIS updates, and environmental outreach. Gain practical experience while supporting our surface water management programs!

Note: This internship is a Temporary Full-Time position. The anticipated end date for this position will be five (5) full months from hire. This position will start in June 2025. This is also a non-represented and non-benefit position.

What will you do in this position?

• Work on uneven ground and around streams.
• Be able to work with technology and scientific equipment.
• Be okay getting wet and dirty! 

A successful candidate in this position will:

• Work independently and collaborate as a team. 
• Take responsibility for accomplishing goals and achieving quality results. 
• Maintain perspective when assessing qualitative and quantitative information. 
• Effectively evaluate and prioritize various tasks, projects, and demands.
• Ensure clear and efficient communication of information and ideas through diverse communication channels.
