Summary:
The competent Nurse, in the Critical Care and similar clinical setting, practices independently and demonstrates an awareness of all relevant aspects of a situation. Provides routine and complex care, in accordance with patient treatment plans. Continues to develop the ability to cope with and manage contingencies of clinical nursing. The registered nurse (RN) is accountable for the coordination of nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education and transitions of care. The RN supports professional nursing practice across practice settings and across the continuum of care to meet the needs of the patient and family. The RN will function within the Mayo Clinic Nursing Professional Practice Model, which includes accountability for planning, implementing, evaluating and communicating all phases of nursing care for assigned patients. Qualifications

Qualifications and Requirements:

* Experience:
* Emergency Medicine certified providers or those with 5-10 years of experience in Emergency Medicine are preferred.
* Family Medicine or Internal Medicine with significant Emergency Medicine experience is acceptable.
* Additional Information:
* No hospital/surgery center privileges required.
* Temporary privileges are not available.
