Practice Environment

- Flexible scheduling – may include occasional night shift rotation (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM, one week at a time)
- Regional anesthesia proficiency required (spinals, epidurals, ultrasound-guided blocks)
Case Mix: Approx. 6,500 Annual Cases
- Primary: General, Orthopedic, OB/GYN, TOCALs/VBACs (473 deliveries, 220 C-sections annually)
- Additional Specialties: ENT, Podiatry, Urology, Plastics, Radiology, Vascular, and healthy pediatric ENT cases
- Regional Techniques: Spinals, Epidurals, and Blocks (ultrasound-guided)
- Occasional Blocks: PECS, Serratus Plane, Erector Spinae, TAP, Cervical Plexus
- No cardiac, no cath lab, no endo suite

Candidate Requirements
- Licensure: Active & unrestricted Arizona CRNA License (or compact eligibility)

- Experience: 2+ years of anesthesia experience with demonstrated proficiency in regional anesthesia
- Caselogs: Must provide recent documentation of spinals, epidurals, and blocks
- Credentialing: 60–90 days | Temporary privileges available for clean files

We are seeking a highly skilled Anesthesiologist for a 90-day assignment in South Carolina, beginning Apr 1, 2026. This vital role involves providing comprehensive clinical and surgical anesthesiology services, including support for complex operative procedures across cardiac, orthopedic, and neurosurgical cases. The physician will also manage acute and chronic pain services and emergency airway management, working a consistent 7:30am-4pm schedule.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide comprehensive clinical anesthesiology services for scheduled clinics and surgeries, ensuring timely presence.
- Deliver anesthesia care for a wide range of operative services including cardiac surgery, orthopedic joint replacement, major vascular, thoracic, neurosurgical, plastic, ENT, urologic, and ophthalmologic operations.
- Offer clinical care for procedures in cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology, gastrointestinal, radiological suites (including MRI), and electroconvulsive therapy.
- Provide primary coverage for patients in surgical intensive care, short stay unit, acute and chronic pain management services, and emergency airway management.
- Conduct preoperative evaluations and manage intraoperative complications.
- Perform various anesthesia techniques including intravenous conscious/moderate sedation, local and regional anesthesia, and peripheral nerve blocks.
- Manage fluid, electrolyte, metabolic, body temperature, and cardiovascular parameters.
- Execute basic and complicated airway management, invasive monitoring, and cardio-pulmonary resuscitation.
- Administer injections such as joint and bursa sac, trigger point, and a variety of spinal, plexus, and sympathetic blocks.
- Adhere to all medication policies and provide coordinated discharge education and follow-up instructions.

CRNA Qualifications

- Minimum 2 years of recent clinical anesthesia experience

- Ability to perform anesthesia blocks (PECS, Serratus Plane, Erector Spinae, TAP, Cervical Plexus)
- ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
- Clear background and malpractice history (temporary privileges available)
- COVID-19 vaccination required (exemptions considered)
- Flexibility to cover days, call, and night shifts as needed
CRNA Responsibilities
- Deliver anesthesia care for a variety of surgical cases: general, orthopedic, OB/GYN (including TOCALS/VBACs), ENT, podiatry, urology, plastics, radiology, vascular, and healthy pediatric patients (age 1+, mostly ENT)
- Perform epidurals, spinals, and ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia procedures
- Participate in call coverage, including primary and secondary call, with post-call days off as scheduled
- Collaborate with a team of CRNAs and other healthcare professionals
- Document patient care in Cerner EMR system
- Maintain high standards of patient safety and quality care
