What You’ll Do

  • Administer medications, as prescribed, and under the direction of a licensed nurse
  • Promptly report to the nurse, a resident’s request/need for PRN medications.
  • Promptly report to the nurse any adverse or concerning reactions to medications.
  • Provide exceptional Personal service and daily care to residents.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, staff management and families.

Iowa: Require Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing. CNA certification must be maintained with the State Board of Nursing. Successful completion of a state-approved Certified Medication Aide/Assistant course once CNA certification is obtained.

  • Current certified CPR and current negative TB skin test or chest x-ray
  • Licensed driver with insured and reliable automobile with proof of insurance
  • Adhere to HIPPA and maintain client confidentiality
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English and communicate effectively
  • Must be able to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull. Varied assistance is required depending on the mobility of the client. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
