We are seeking a full time Hospitalist Physician at Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center in Ogdensburg, NY! Our Hospitalist Physicians work 12- hour shifts (7 on 7 off rotation). Claxton-Hepburn has provided care to the community for over 130 years. The 115-bed facility includes 67 acute-care beds, a 28-bed acute-care mental health center, a 10-bed intensive care unit and a 10-bed obstetrics unit.
Position Description:
The Physician is responsible for in-patient care, rounding, admissions, discharges, and consults. The Physician will assess patient health by interviewing patients, performing physical examinations, obtaining, updating, and studying medical histories. The Physician will document patient care services by charting in-patient and department records.
Salary range:
$328,000-$382,000 per year
Requirements:
• Excellent clinical skills
• ACLS required
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Effective organizational/time management skills
• Current license to practice medicine in New York State
• BE/BC in Internal Medicine, or Family Practice is preferred

200 plus bed facility. Long time established program with excellent team of physicians needing director who wants to help promote growth with CMO. Looking for a physician who would like to have a voice and promote changes coming for the future along with the CMO. Physician assistants and physicians work the 12 hour shifts with nocturnist coverage. Must be MD or DO with at least four or more years of leadership experience with proven track record as a strong leader who is interested in working 60% or more of time as clinical. Salary depends upon experience with sign on bonus, relocation, and more.

About the Opportunity
Patient Volume: Manage 15?18 patients per day, including admissions, daily care, and discharges.
Consultations: Provide inpatient GI consults for patients with gastrointestinal conditions, often in collaboration with intensivists and other specialists.
ICU Involvement: Engage with a 10-bed closed ICU and an 11-bed Progressive Care Unit (PCU).
Procedural Responsibilities: Perform GI procedures including EGD, colonoscopy, and ERCP. Advanced procedures like EUS are not currently supported.
Team Structure: Currently supported by locum tenens; this position will anchor a new permanent inpatient GI service model. A dedicated APP will support consults, with the physician focusing on procedures.
Support Staff: Includes dedicated RNs, LVNs, endoscopy nurses, and anesthesia staff. Clinic scribes also available.

Work Schedule: 7 on / 7 off model
Weekend Coverage: Required; rounds followed by home call
Night Call: Emergency only, home call

Qualifications & Requirements
