RN Position Job Notes:
Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:
/n
• 2 years of experience preferred with all surgeries except cardiac procedures
/n• Experience with pediatrics required and critical care strongly preferred
/n• Must assist with coverage in Pre-Op department
/n• Level II trauma experience preferred
/n• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIH
/n• Call required as part of position
/n• Patient ratio of 2:1 during day shifts
/n• Minimum of 1 weekend shift per contract required
/n• Must have experience recovering patients from Plastics, Urology, Dental (Adults and Pediatrics), GYN, and Pediatric ENT procedures
/n• Experience required with monitoring patients with nerve blocks, chest tube insertions, central lines, intubation, and arterial lines
/n• Care for patients of all ages from 8 months old to 100+ years
/n• Must orient to Pre-Op Holding area as nurses float between connected PACU and Pre-Op units
/n• Cerner charting system experience preferred
/n• Flu vaccine required with medical/religious exemptions allowed
/n• Must complete on-site drug screening
/n• Documentation due 3 business days prior to start date

The facility provides surgical services for all specialties except cardiac procedures, treating patients across all age groups. The PACU is connected to the Pre-Op Holding area, allowing for flexible staffing between departments. The facility offers extensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, radiology, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation services to ensure comprehensive patient care.
