The SE is responsible to identify, develop, and lead execution of solutions for performance improvements and capacity solutions through strong business partnership, strategic productivity, and continuous improvement efforts.

As Packaging Operator II, you will be responsible for the overall operational flow of the machines and equipment to assigned area daily. You will assure product quality and identification are correct and meets Lactalis Standards while following all Food Safety Management system guidelines.

Key responsibilities for this position include:
Load and operate machines at a set speed with minimal process interruption.
- Work with all other team members of the line to achieve high volume process flow.
- Perform product changes and prepare machine setup using correct measurements for specific packages.
- Perform sanitation duties as assigned and keep work area clean/organized.
- Take immediate corrective action for any product that does not meet quality or product specifications.
- Contribute to continual process improvement and increased performance.
- Participate in internal/external audits and maintain ISO22000/ISO9001/HACCP compliance.
- Attend department meetings and trainings as assigned by supervisor or manager.
- OP II will be required to Operate line or provide breaks for all other operators.

This includes, but is not limited to, production/packaging areas and related equipment, warehouse areas, office areas, and grounds.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
1. Familiar with the manufacturing operation, equipment and support systems of the company and will set up
systems to respond to maintenance concerns regarding them.
2. Cooperate with other management personnel in formulating and establishing company policies, operating procedures, and goals.
3. Reviews technical problems and procedures of departments and recommends solutions to problems or changes in procedures.
4. Responsible for setting up and managing systems for preventative maintenance for the manufacturing
operation.
5. Recruits and develops staff to provide the necessary skills to support the maintenance responsibilities for
the plant.
6. Continues to access skill levels and recommends developmental activities as appropriate.
7. Assesses systems for re-engineering or troubleshooting at both hands-on levels and engineering levels.
8. Participates actively as a member of plant management team. Provides necessary support for the other plant functions/activities as determined by the Assistant Maintenance Manager.
9. Continually evaluates the capabilities of the packaging & production Maintenance department relating to equipment, tools and other items necessary to provide a satisfactory level of service to the plant.
10. Recommend upgrades as appropriate.
11. Exercises project management responsibilities including coordination of contractor activities, communication to/among participants, budgeting and reporting if project has been delegated to them.
12. Continually analyzes spending with the Maintenance Manager/Plant Engineer. Ensure proper documentation is provided for justification.
13. Promotes employee relations within the department.
14. Proactively communicates and responds to employee questions and concerns.
15. Develop a variety of systems and methods to measure effectiveness of effort.
16. Continuously seeks new ways of improving performance and controlling costs.
17. Reports problems and/or concerns to the Assistant Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Manager, and/or Plant Engineer.

Daily Operations & Dispatch
* Dispatch and oversee 8-15 delivery routes each day
* Complete route optimization ahead of service to ensure efficiency and compliance in DRO

* Coordinate vehicles and support pre-trip inspections and logins
Driver Support & Leadership
* Train drivers on safety procedures, software, and company standards
* Provide coaching, counseling, and documentation for safety or policy violations
* Assist with ride-alongs, audits, and performance improvement
Safety & Compliance
* Monitor safety events, DOT compliance, and follow-up requirements
* Assist with live vehicle audits and post-trip inspections
