Duties Responsibilities

Med-Surg Nurses (RN) provide care for primarily adult patients before and after surgical procedures; they also attend to those who are being treated with pharmaceuticals to manage illness. Due to the broad range of medical conditions Med/Surg Nurses will encounter, they must be well-versed in a large variety of health conditions.

- Complete assignments made by physicians.
- Provide routine treatment and post-surgical care.
- Assess changes in patient's health status and perform various treatments.
- Administer medication.
- Meticulous documentation as to medication and treatment administration to ensure continuity of care between nursing staff, physicians and other treatment team members.

Hourly Pay Range:

$26.61 - $39.92 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

- Bonus: 5K Sign On Bonus no experience required 10K Sign On Bonus Eligible with minimum of 1 year experience
- Position: Certified Surgical Tech
- Location: Skokie, IL
- Full Time/Part Time: Full time
- Hours: Monday-Friday, Days 8 hour, 10 hour, 12 hour shifts available

What you will need:

- Education: High school graduate or equivalent. Graduate of an approved Surgical Technologist school or minimum 3 years? experience as a Surgical Technologist
- Certification: Current CPR certification required. Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) highly preferred

What you will do:

- Perform scrub person duties during the intraoperative phase of surgical procedures
- Assist in the preparation and dispensing of instruments, equipment and supplies required for surgical procedures
- Conduct all instrument, needle, sharps and sponge counts, as well as handle specimens
- Assist in the application of dressings or casts and moving patients
- Assist in decontamination/reprocessing area when assigned
- Maintain inventory in Operating Room and on carts
