WHAT YOU’LL DO


• Serve as the escalation point for Regional Logistics Leaders and facilitate the resolution of complex issues and network‑wide adjustments to standard work, including development and execution of business continuity plans.

• Partner with corporate and field restaurant operations to ensure Logistics Leaders gather the voice of the customer and drive continuous improvement in ordering, receiving, and delivery performance.

• Standardize and refine network processes, identifying risks, assigning stakeholders, and ensuring accountability through communication and training partnering with cross-functional partners and the Communications team.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TABLE

As Sr. Safety Specialist, you will join forces with the Manager of Safety and Loss Prevention to head up workplace safety initiatives for one of our distribution center operations! You will...

  • Work with integrity and the utmost regard for the safety and health at HelloFresh
  • Provides subject matter expertise either through education, training, and/or experience in multiple areas including environmental management, compliance, occupational safety, risk management and/or occupational health
  • Ensure OSHA compliance within a HelloFresh/Green Chef Facility including but not limited to: Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT's); New Hire safety training and ongoing safety training; Lockout/Tagout, Machine Guarding and Chemical Safety; all necessary recordkeeping and reporting including OSHA 300 Logs
  • Assist management team during accident or injury investigations and root cause analysis
  • Act as the management team's subject matter expert for safety and security questions
  • Ensure visibility of HSE initiatives at the site level (Behavior Safety, Safe Work Permit process, Safety Observations, Near Miss, etc) to all levels of operations management and recommend improvements in effectiveness. Demonstrate sound judgment based on observations and evaluation, by site, to determine safety meeting effectiveness and appropriate level of mentoring for safety meeting facilitators. Collect and analyze data to identify safety or injury trends and develop corrective actions
  • Ensure contractors and visitors follow HelloFresh safety policies during their time on-site
  • Assist with the site emergency action plan and liaison with local first responders when needed
  • Conduct a Job Safety Analysis (JSA) of all routine and non-routine tasks performed on-site
  • Promote safer forklift operations through training, observation and coaching operators
  • Develop training materials including toolbox talks, standard operating procedures (SOP's) and others
  • Manage the relationship with site security and ensures security services are being provided for each DC
  • Assist with inventory shrinkage and other deliberate damage/product theft investigations as needed
  • Support other departments including quality, food safety, production and logistics as needed

Position Overview

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Performs tactical/strategic functions related to daily procurement.
  • Build/maintain excellent relationship with vendors, ensure they abide by CMG policies and fulfill deliveries, and help negotiate with suppliers for favorable pricing and quality.
  • Support culinary/marketing on any new protein options to help meet CMG standards and cost/availability requirements, especially LTO project work.
  • Work with cross functional teams to onboard new suppliers that meet CMG standards to help support supply growth and diversification while ensuring available category capacity to support CMG growth.
  • Identification/realization of cost-saving opportunities and cost-avoidance exercises without compromising supply assurance or quality.
  • Pricing/Product Management in Oracle, Semarchy, Foodlogiq, etc.
  • Support with analysis for RFP for raw materials and commissary
  • Review and monitor raw material supplier performance with commissary
  • Monitor and manage yields at commissary.
  • Update team/organization on commodity markets through monthly category reviews, Board forecasts, and through market news.


WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TABLE

  • B.A./B.S. in related field; or an equivalent in education and experience; Masters preferred
  • 3-5 years relevant work experience

PAY TRANSPARENCY


A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $85,000.00–$122,500.00.   • Troubleshoot issues and escalate to Full-Time management if needed.
  • Conduct coaching/counseling sessions with Team Members.

Qualifications:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be at least 16 years of age.
  • Must have Food & Beverage experience.
  • Culinary & Hospitality Preferred but not required.
  • React well in stressful and emergency situations.
  • Be willing to actively engage guests.
  • Communicate effectively in the English language, including the ability to read, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Be available to work flexible hours and on weekends, nights, and holidays.
  • Possess above-average communication skills.
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Be safety conscious, while also outgoing with a friendly demeanor.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Continued sitting, standing, and bending; frequent kneeling.
  • Stand/walk for up to 6 hours at a time and as many as 14 hours a day; walk over 3 miles per day over various surfaces.
  • Lift and carry 25 lbs. over 25 feet over various surfaces; lift and lower 5 lbs. above shoulder level.
  • Must be able to climb a stepladder up to 6 feet in height.

I am hiring on behalf of a well-established lifestyle hotel in downtown Mobile for a Food & Beverage Manager to lead all restaurant, bar, café, and banquet operations.
