Essential Functions
Provides leadership for the assessment of learning/resource needs and the subsequent establishment of directional goals for hospital staff development that are compatible with service teaching and research objectives.
Collaborates with department managers and resource personnel using indicators such as new policy development, new technology, patient case study, and quality assurance monitors, to prioritize staff development needs.
Establishes and maintains a resource pool of health professionals, current health care information, and media and material resources to assist and support staff education and professional outreach.
Monitors staff education and assist Human Resources to ensure license, certifications, competencies and required training is completed on time. Participates in the documentation and recommendations for CCF to employees not in compliance. Coordinates professional outreach program offerings. Recommends direction and program focus.
Functions as the liaison for the annual MASH Program (Multiple Avenues for Successful Healthcare).

Key Responsibilities  



  • Supervises the day-to-day activities of a team of entry level individual contributors. Provides guidance, coaching, and support to ensure successful completion of tasks. Participates in HR activities such as hiring, terminations, performance management, goal setting, team member development, scheduling, etc. Enforces systems, policies, and procedures. Reviews and approves timecards. 
  • Responsible for ensuring adherence to all food safety regulations and quality standards on the Plant floor(s), including contractor and construction projects. Provides coaching and follows up with technicians and operations to ensure compliance. 
  • Assists with the development and implementation of policies, process control procedures and monitoring, and standard practices. 
  • Troubleshoots plant quality, safety, and sanitation problems. Implements corrective actions to address and mitigate identified issues. 
  • Promotes GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and Food safety across the organization. Provides coaching and training across the operation’s teams as needed. 
  • Works closely with USDA. 
  • Reviews all paperwork to ensure proper procedures are followed. Investigates and escalates issues as appropriate. 
  • Assists with facility, customer, and third-party audits and audit preparation. Responsible for daily SOP audits. 
  • Participates in investigation of product failures and customer complaints. May provide recommended solution to management team. 
  • Communicates with all levels of management to ensure they maintain control of the process. 
  • Identifies opportunities and supports creation and implementation of plant processes and/or product improvement projects.

What You’ll Do:

 

Perform general construction and maintenance of aerial and buried fiber facilities, ensuring compliance with maps, staking sheets, and safety standards.

  • Operate and maintain construction equipment, including excavation tools, to build and repair outside plant fiber networks.
  • Install, splice, test, troubleshoot, and repair fiber optic facilities using specialized equipment.
  • Conduct cable fault acceptance tests, locate defective fiber, and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Update GIS, maps, and as-builts; set and label infrastructure like peds, vaults, and handholes.
  • Restore worksites to original condition upon project completion.
  • Train and mentor team members as needed and maintain construction equipment.
  • Provide support to field service technicians and complete required documentation promptly.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ months experience in any combination of the following areas: customer service, electrical or utility construction, or TDS Telecom Field Services internship -OR-technical certification (or higher) -OR- current military service, or prior military service with honorable discharge.
  • Must follow the TDS attendance guidelines in order to meet TDS’s business needs including but not limited to our obligations to our customers and to our customers’ needs.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and remain eligible for DOT requirements.

Other Qualifications

  • Must have the ability to obtain a Class A CDL. A current CDL is preferred at hire, but TDS will train and certify eligible associates through its in-house CDL certification program after hire.
  • Physical requirements may vary based on company needs: Ability to climb poles, ladders, towers, and other structures as needed. Ability to kneel, dig, lift, and pull.
  • Upon hire, must successfully pass all components of the Safety Training course curriculum.
  • Upon hire, must successfully complete customer-specific requirements, which may include a background check administered by the customer.
  • Horizontal directional drilling experience preferred.
  • Basic understanding of telecommunication products and services.
  • Proven organizational skills and ability to multi-task.

What You’ll Do:

 

Perform general construction and maintenance of aerial and buried fiber facilities, ensuring compliance with maps, staking sheets, and safety standards.

  • Operate and maintain construction equipment, including excavation tools, to build and repair outside plant fiber networks.
  • Install, splice, test, troubleshoot, and repair fiber optic facilities using specialized equipment.
  • Conduct cable fault acceptance tests, locate defective fiber, and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Update GIS, maps, and as-builts; set and label infrastructure like peds, vaults, and handholes.
  • Restore worksites to original condition upon project completion.
  • Train and mentor team members as needed and maintain construction equipment.
  • Provide support to field service technicians and complete required documentation promptly.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

 

  • 1+ years of construction equipment operation utilizing various underground and aerial construction equipment such as directional drills, trencher/plow/rocksaw, backhoe, or bucket trucks -OR- current military service, or prior military service with honorable discharge.
  • Must follow the TDS attendance guidelines in order to meet TDS’s business needs including but not limited to our obligations to our customers and to our customers’ needs.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and remain eligible for DOT requirements.

Other Qualifications

 

  • Must have the ability to obtain a Class A CDL. A current CDL is preferred at hire, but TDS will train and certify eligible associates through its in-house CDL certification program after hire.

Training

Key Responsibilities

•Follows direction of Production Supervisor to assign and instruct personnel of daily production duties.

•Observes equipment operation, notifying appropriate personnel of any malfunctions and/or safety issues/concerns.

•Provide accurate and timely feedback to supervisor regarding any issues or problems that may arise during daily production.

•Helps coordinate daily set-up of equipment to ensure the line is prepared to run on time.

•Complete required checks and measurements, record accurately.

•Assist in training and developing staff to ensure a quality product.

•Assist with new hire ergonomic evaluations and performance evaluations.

•Position is required to work before department start time in order to assist with area set-ups.

•Accountable to maintain punctual and regular attendance for scheduled work hours.

•Flexible to work weekends, overtime, and holidays as needed.
