· Enter exam notes on PACS.
· Verify orders in chart. Follow physician written orders.
· Initial chart when exam is complete.
· Interact with Radiologists. Communicate effectively with customers (physicians, patients,
colleagues)
· Start I.V.s when necessary.
· Correctly and safely administer contrast media with power injector.
· Move patients on and off table when necessary.
· Organize patient exams for best work flow.
· Assist in the orientation/training of new employees and clinical students.

- PRN JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Is knowledgeable and competent in department scan protocols.
Completes a minimum of (2) peer reviews on an annual basis according to Network Managers request and study required for review.
Reviews and prepares the daily schedule with the Ultrasound Manager or Patient Care Coordinator at the beginning of each shift.
Gathers all patient Radiology file folders, reports and impression sheets for the day’s schedule.
Responsible for pulling Radiology file folders as needed throughout the day.
Observes file room protocols for film sign out and return, and film jacket set-ups.
Ultrasound rooms are restocked on a daily basis at the end of the shift with laundry, SPD and Store Room supplies.
At the end of each study room should be cleaned and ready for the next patient.
Equipment is cleaned regularly with documentation of a minimum of 12 equipment cleanings per year.
Completes yearly-required competency assessments as set by the Ultrasound Manager.
Demonstrates competency in the use of RIS/HIS and telephone systems appropriate for their job responsibilities.
Assist the Interventional Nurse and Radiologist in preparing for invasive procedures, by setting up trays using sterile techniques, gathering necessary supplies, assisting during procedures and clean up using Universal Precautions and proper sharps disposal.

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Full-Time Physician Assistant or NP to join the Pediatric Hospital Physician Group at JFK University Medical Center, located in Edison, New Jersey. The pediatric hospital medicine program provides inpatient care in a 22 bed general pediatric unit. Several medical and surgical subspecialists are available.
- Full-time, employed position
- Work under the supervision of Pediatric Hospitalists in the in-patient setting. Participate in quality improvement projects and departmental committees. Attend division and departmental meetings.
- Admit patients on behalf of the attending physician
- Perform patient histories and physical examinations, evaluate and treat patients in the inpatient-unit
- Write discharge summaries and assist the physician attending in providing adequate handoff to the primary care physician
- Perform basic pediatric procedures: intravenous catheter placement, LP, nasogastric tube placement, bladder catheterization, etc.
- Acute care pediatric inpatient experience preferred
Responsibilities:
1. Obtains a details and accurate history, and identifies problems and presents information to the supervising physician. 2. Charts via written, dictation, or electronic means: admission notes, history and physical examinations, consultations, daily patient encounter notes, urgent evaluation notes, minor procedure notes, and brief post-operative notes as it pertains to patients in the inpatient or outpatient setting; present this information to the supervising physician. 3. Prescribes medications in accordance with federal and state laws and regulations under supervision of licensed physician if approved by the New Jersey Board of Medical Examiners. Under the guidance and direction of supervising physician and in accordance with the New Jersey Board of Medical Examiners, Prescribe controlled dangerous substances only with current state CDS license and DEA number; the physicians assistant signs his/her own name and license number, as well as the supervising physician. 4. Assists a supervising surgeon in the operating room when a qualified assistant physician is not required, and a second assistant is deemed necessary by the supervising surgeon. 5. Assists supervising physician in a procedure room when a qualified physician is present and it is deemed that a qualified assistant physician is not needed. 6. Writes post-operative/post procedure note(s) and order(s) for supervising physician. 7. Acts as a ¿first line¿ person responsible for all the post procedure management of patients as requested by the primary physician. 8. Starts IVs, inserts foley catheters and nasogastric tubes, irrigates foley catheters, orders transfusions of blood and products, venipuncture, and debriedments. 9. Exhibit organizational, communication and leadership skills, initiative, accountability, responsibility, appropriate judgment, and decision making. 10. Assist supervising physician with office hours and functions as an advocate for patients by managing prescription prior authorization, serving as a clinical expert to obtain surgical prior authorization requiring validation of medical necessity, and resolve issues associated with patient messages that require clinical support. 11. Participates in research trails collecting, aggregating and entering data. 12. Identifies the needs of the patient population served and modifies and delivers care that is specific to those needs (i.e., age, culture, language, hearing and/or visually impaired, etc.). This process includes communicating with the patient, parent, and/or primary caregiver(s) at their level (developmental/age, educational, literacy, etc.). 13. Function as a resource to health care personnel and participate in their educational programs. 14. Greets patients and visitors in a prompt, courteous and helpful manner. Job Summary and Qualifications*Nights
We are seeking a dynamic RN to join our Peri-operative team. As an RN in OR setting you will collaborate with other members of the health care team including physicians, to deliver quality health care. In this role you will provide the best possible preventative and supportive intra-operative care to each patient based upon their individual needs.
What you will do in this role:
- Recognize and address urgent and emergent surgical situation
- Foster continuity and quality of care in the best interests of patients
- Assess and monitor patients’ medical status while in the OR
- Assess patient’s condition and monitor vitals, providing general nursing care
- Ensure the Operating Room is prepared with all necessary supplies, implants, instrumentation, and equipment
- Keep the operating room sterilized
- Review charts for completeness, in accordance with documentation protocols
- Communicate effectively with patients, teammates, and physicians to ensure continuity of care
What qualifications you will need:
- Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license required. Compact license holders have 60 days to obtain the Florida license after relocation.
- 1+ years of RN experience in an acute care environment preferred
- Registered Nurse Diploma, or Associate Degree, BSN is preferred
- NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 30 days of employment start

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Neurodiagnostic Technologist performs prescribed diagnostic procedures requiring specialized knowledge and skills in support of the provision of diagnostic and/or therapeutic services to a specified patient population. Ensures accurate diagnostic results for patients of any age of graphically recorded impulses generated by the brain providing quality outcomes by performing EEG (electroencephalogram) consistent with Christiana Care department policies and procedures.
SHIFT/HOURS:
- Two 12 hour shifts and two 8 hour shifts per week. (4 Day work week)
- 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM or 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Scheduled work days will primarily be any days Mon-Fri
- On Call commitment (alternate being on-call overnight, and on the weekends)
- Candidate would be flexible to work at both our Newark and Wilmington locations
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Obtains relevant medical patient information from patient, family or chart.
- Establishes rapport with patient and gives proper instructions to ensure cooperation.
- Measures patient's head according to the International 10/20 System and applies electrodes accordingly.
- Calibrates EEG machines.
- Keeps equipment clean and in operating condition.
- Records EEG and Evoked Potential studies according to established procedures.
- Recognizes artifacts and take appropriate steps to eliminate them.
- Observes patient during recording and makes proper notations.
- Uses appropriate EEG activation procedures.
- Monitors other physiological parameters as required.
- Removes electrodes upon completion of the test, cleans hair and scalp.
- Prepares EEGs for upload and archiving.
- Communicates with manager for equipment troubleshooting and repairs as required.
- Demonstrates skills and knowledge necessary to provide care appropriate to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, including knowledge of growth and development, the ability to obtain and interpret information to identify patient needs, and to provide the care needed.
- Performs assigned work safely, adhering to established department safety rules and practices. Reports to manager, in a timely manner, any unsafe activities, conditions, hazards or safety violations that may cause injury to oneself, other employees, patients and visitors.

- Graduation from a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) accredited Neurodiagnostic Program.
- Minimum of 6 months experience working in a patient care environment.
- ABRET board eligible, certification required within 1 year.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
