Trial Attorney
Job Description
We are a high-volume personal injury firm with multiple offices throughout Northeast Florida. We are actively recruiting a Trial Attorney to support our 4th and 8th Judicial Circuit litigation efforts.
Our firm operates under a simple but non-negotiable standard: “You Hurt? We Fight!” This role is not for passive practitioners. We are seeking attorneys who are prepared to take cases through litigation and trial, own their files, and aggressively advocate for clients from suit filing through verdict. This position is appropriate for attorneys with demonstrated litigation aptitude, including junior litigators ready to step into trial work and seasoned trial attorneys with a proven courtroom track record.
Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience, litigation skill set, and trial outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Independently manage a personal injury litigation caseload from pre-suit evaluation through trial and post-trial matters
Draft, file, and argue motions
Conduct and defend depositions, including parties, experts, and treating physicians
Develop and execute trial strategy, including witness preparation, exhibit management, and jury selection support
Appear in court regularly for hearings, case management conferences, mediations, and trials
Evaluate cases for settlement versus trial exposure and participate in negotiations and mediations with authority
Communicate clearly and consistently with clients regarding litigation status, risks, and expectations
Maintain accurate, organized, and timely case documentation using firm case management systems
Collaborate with pre-suit attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure continuity and efficiency
Comply with all ethical obligations, Florida Bar rules, and firm litigation standards
Qualifications
Active Florida Bar membership in good standing (required)
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school (required)
Demonstrated ability to manage litigation deadlines, discovery obligations, and court appearances
Strong written and oral advocacy skills, including courtroom presentation
Working knowledge of Florida Rules of Civil Procedure and Evidence
Ability to manage a demanding caseload with minimal supervision
Willingness and ability to use firm-approved case management and litigation tools
Professional judgment, accountability, and resilience under pressure
Preferred Qualifications
Prior trial experience in personal injury or civil litigation
Experience handling jury trials, arbitrations, or bench trials
Experience in the 4th and/or 8th Judicial Circuits
Demonstrated results in contested litigation environments
