Job Description

We are a high-volume personal injury firm with multiple offices throughout Northeast Florida. We are actively recruiting a Trial Attorney to support our 4th and 8th Judicial Circuit litigation efforts.

Our firm operates under a simple but non-negotiable standard: “You Hurt? We Fight!” This role is not for passive practitioners. We are seeking attorneys who are prepared to take cases through litigation and trial, own their files, and aggressively advocate for clients from suit filing through verdict. This position is appropriate for attorneys with demonstrated litigation aptitude, including junior litigators ready to step into trial work and seasoned trial attorneys with a proven courtroom track record.

Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience, litigation skill set, and trial outcomes.

Draft, file, and argue motions

Conduct and defend depositions, including parties, experts, and treating physicians

Develop and execute trial strategy, including witness preparation, exhibit management, and jury selection support

Appear in court regularly for hearings, case management conferences, mediations, and trials

Evaluate cases for settlement versus trial exposure and participate in negotiations and mediations with authority

Communicate clearly and consistently with clients regarding litigation status, risks, and expectations

Maintain accurate, organized, and timely case documentation using firm case management systems

Collaborate with pre-suit attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure continuity and efficiency

Comply with all ethical obligations, Florida Bar rules, and firm litigation standards

Qualifications

Active Florida Bar membership in good standing (required)

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school (required)

Demonstrated ability to manage litigation deadlines, discovery obligations, and court appearances

Strong written and oral advocacy skills, including courtroom presentation

Working knowledge of Florida Rules of Civil Procedure and Evidence

Ability to manage a demanding caseload with minimal supervision

Willingness and ability to use firm-approved case management and litigation tools

Professional judgment, accountability, and resilience under pressure

Preferred Qualifications

Prior trial experience in personal injury or civil litigation

Experience handling jury trials, arbitrations, or bench trials

Experience in the 4th and/or 8th Judicial Circuits

Demonstrated results in contested litigation environments

Benefits

United Healthcare Medical Insurance (majority of premium paid by the firm)

Dental and Vision Insurance

Firm-paid Life Insurance ($50,000 policy)

Generous 401(k) with employer matching

Annual bonus opportunities

Paid Holidays and Paid Time Off

Long-term career growth within a litigation-focused firm

Job Type: Full-Time

Work Location: In Person – Jacksonville, FL 32207

Commute Requirement: Must be able to reliably commute to Jacksonville, FL

This role is designed for attorneys who want to try cases, not avoid them. If you are prepared to litigate aggressively, operate with autonomy, and be held accountable for outcomes, we want to hear from you.
