UC Berkeley Extension (UNEX), the continuing education branch of the University of California, Berkeley, has been building bridges between UC Berkeley and the public since 1891. UNEX serves the professional and continuing education goals of thousands of people each year and plays an essential part of the University mission to: extend the research and scholarship of UC Berkeley to a global community; increase access to higher education for non-traditional, online, and international students; and improve the workforce. UC Berkeley Extension is a part of the division under the leadership of the Dean of Extended Education that also includes Berkeley Summer Sessions, Berkeley Study Abroad, and Osher Lifelong Learning Institute.

UC Berkeley Extension in partnership with the UC Berkeley School of Education, will be offering courses to train K-12 educators and administrators in implementing California's 21CSLA Initiative for Universal Transitional Kindergarten.

UC Berkeley Extension invites applications for a pool of dynamic instructors with knowledge and expertise in elementary K-12 education and California's 21CSLA Initiative to teach one or more graduate-level online courses each year.

Courses are offered online:

The Berkeley School of Education (BSE) at the University of California, seeks a qualified temporary non-tenure track, part-time Instructional Facilitator (Teacher - Special Programs or TSP) to provide support through the Berkeley Teacher Education Program for alumni engaging in teacher action research as part of our developing BTEP Alumni Network, as well as developing and facilitating other targeted support groups for BTEP alumni in their early years of teaching.

The College of Environmental Design (CED) at UC Berkeley invites applications for a pool of qualified lecturers or lecturers in lieu of GSIs to teach studio and non-studio courses for the CED Summer Programs in the following areas: architecture, city planning, urban design, landscape architecture and digital media. Should an opening arise, screening of applicants will primarily take place in the early spring semester for a summer appointment, and will continue as needed into the summer. Since 1982, the program has invited excelling students from the Bay Area and around the world into a unique academic community. ATDP's mission is to enable all highly motivated and prepared students to pursue their academic passions through rigorous summer coursework in a community of like-minded peers.

ATDP's Learner Outcomes state that ATDP students will be able to:

This involves designing, and delivering age, grade, and achievement level student-centered curricula for a particular content area within the format and time parameters of a specific course, and whose teaching philosophy is aligned with ATDP's mission and Learner Outcomes.
