Position Summary

Dimension Renewable Energy is seeking a Real Estate Manager to support the development and financing of a nationwide portfolio of community solar projects. This role focuses on title and survey diligence, title insurance negotiation, and preparing projects for financing and construction.

The Real Estate Manager will work closely with title companies, surveyors, developers, and internal teams to resolve real estate issues and deliver insurable projects ready for financing and construction. Experience with title insurance companies (examiner, escrow, underwriting support) is highly valued.


Key Responsibilities:

Title & Survey Management

  • Review and negotiate title commitments, proformas, and final title insurance policies for renewable energy projects.
  • Identify title risks and secure required endorsements and coverage needed for project financing.
  • Coordinate with title companies, surveyors, and underwriters to resolve title defects, encroachments, and survey issues.
  • Review and analyze ALTA surveys, title exceptions, easements, and recorded documents impacting project sites.
  • Work with landowners and title agents to cure title defects and clear exceptions prior to policy issuance.

Real Estate Due Diligence & Portfolio Management

  • Conduct real estate due diligence for solar and battery storage projects.
  • Prepare project portfolios for financing and investor sale, including negotiation of title insurance policies and documentation delivery.
  • Manage contractual obligations for a nationwide portfolio of renewable energy real estate assets.
  • Support land acquisition and early-stage project origination efforts in new and existing markets.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Identify and resolve real estate risks and development challenges for community-scale solar projects across the U.S.
  • Communicate project requirements, timelines, and objectives with external stakeholders and partners.
  • Collaborate with Business Development, Development, Construction, Finance, and Asset Management teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support development teams with third-party agreements, including consents, rights-of-way, and encroachment agreements.
  • Provide support for permitting, interconnection, and project design coordination.


Qualifications:

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Experience in title insurance, commercial escrow, title examination, or real estate diligence strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience curing land title deficiencies and supporting title insurance underwriting and policy issuance.
  • Understanding of real estate fundamentals and familiarity with the renewable energy industry preferred.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint) and Adobe.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret complex real estate documentation.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to collaborate across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems and software tools.

Physical Requirements

This position requires extended computer use, participation in virtual meetings, and occasional travel to warehouses or company events.

Location

New York Office

Hybrid schedule:

  • Onsite: Monday – Thursday and remote on Friday
  • Occasional travel may be required.
