  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or business analytics.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and Power BI.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills — able to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Experience with statistical forecasting tools or software (e.g., SAP IBP, Kinaxis, JDA).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills; ability to manage complexity and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Analytical mindset with strong financial acumen and understanding of inventory management.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience managing multiple production facilities.
  • APICS / CPIM or similar supply chain certification.

  • Familiarity with food safety standards, quality assurance programs, and regulatory compliance requirements in a manufacturing or production environment.

The QTI Group has partnered with a manufacturing client in the Greater Madison area as they look to hire their next Material Planner. The Material Planner will play a key role in the management, planning and analysis of material availability to ensure continuous material flow to meet production projects. This role includes development of material purchase orders and quickly resolving any supply-related issues.


Responsibilities

  • Supply shipping dates for Sales Orders and provide updates to internal and external customers related to materials delays
  • Maintain material master data, stock levels and providing forecasting support for U.S. operations
  • Ensure accuracy related to purchase order dates and
  • Communicate, resolve and expedite delays in material shipments
  • Research, investigate and resolve any Purchase Order discrepancies


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business or similar field preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in a material planning or supply chain role
  • Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP system
  • Ability to lead and manage multiple projects
