The Strategic Sourcing Category Manager is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and developing potential sources of supply in alignment with the strategic goals of the company. They are responsible for the strategy and management of multiple categories of products and services to ensure cost-effectiveness and alignment with company needs. In addition, this position is responsible for monitoring market trends, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and creating agreements and contracts to ensure seamless availability of products and services to support company objectives.
Will source and manage the following categories: Foundries, Machining, Full Valve assemblies, and additional categories as required.
This position is currently eligible for DeZURIK's hybrid work schedule.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)
- Manage supplier risk and mitigation across all assigned categories.
- Deliver the best overall value (cost, lead time, quality, terms) for assigned categories.
- Provide global/regional strategies to achieve corporate and plant location objectives.
- Cultivate and develop partner relationships with strategic suppliers to ensure DeZURIK remains a customer of choice.
- Lead and direct cross-functional sourcing projects, including new vendor identification, initial assessment, and qualification.
- Effectively manage supplier selection to meet strategies for supplier capabilities requirements.
- Conduct market research and develop category-specific strategies to improve cost, quality, and delivery.
- Analyze and evaluate quotations to ensure quality, delivery, and total cost are satisfactory.
- Actively negotiate with suppliers to address quality, price, or service discrepancies.
- Provide costing standards for commodity products.
- Establish contracts for products in alignment with corporate and plant location objectives.
- Make recommendations to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency of vendor operations.
- Regularly perform detailed market analysis with respect to global commodities, specific industries, exchange rates, trade compliance issues affecting acquisition, and labor rates.
- Provide forecasts to management of trends, opportunities, and potential risk areas.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Business/Materials Management preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a proven record in successfully managing projects and contracts.

US Salary Range
$120,000 - $170,000 USD

Summary:
In this role, you will be a senior strategic sourcing resource, providing best in class sourcing and contracting strategies focused on delivering and optimizing provider value. Estimated Hiring Range:

High School Diploma or GED, required
Graduate of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program, required
Training corresponding to your imaging specialty (e.g., Abdomen, OB/GYN, Vascular, Breast, Neurosonology, MSK, Echo, etc.)
One year of Sonography experience preferred
ARRT and/or ARDMS certified or board eligible, required
ARDMS certification required within first year of employment
BLS required

Working knowledge of ultrasound/X-ray equipment
Strong adaptability & age-specific care competency
Associate Degree required

Path 1: OB/GYN Sonographer(General Women’s Health Ultrasound)
You’ll perform a variety of OB/GYN ultrasound exams while creating a calm, supportive environment for patients. You’ll partner with physicians and clinical teams to capture accurate, high-quality images and ensure each patient feels seen, heard, and cared for.
You’ll:Perform OB/GYN ultrasound exams using established protocols
Adjust imaging techniques based on clinical presentation
Document patient information, allergies & consents accurately
Maintain a clean, safe, organized ultrasound suite
Assist with patient positioning & care during exams
Ensure efficient patient flow and timely communication
Participate in staff meetings, competencies & continuous improvement
Uphold “First Do No Harm” safety standards
(High-Risk Obstetrics – Advanced Imaging)
You’ll support Maternal–Fetal Medicine physicians by performing specialty high-risk OB ultrasounds that directly influence diagnosis, treatment, and outcomes for patients with complex pregnancies.
You’ll:Perform detailed anatomy scans, Dopplers & high-risk OB imaging
Assist physicians during procedures such as amniocentesis, CVS & fetal interventions
Evaluate image quality and repeat or supplement studies as needed
Perform high-level probe sterilization per Clinical Compliance standards
Reconcile prenatal history, medications & allergies
Support anxious or high-risk patients with empathy and clarity
Collaborate closely with MFM physicians, nurses & genetic counselors
