The Broward County Board of County Commissioners is seeking qualified candidates for Capital Project Management Supervisor - Construction Management Division.

The ideal candidate will have experience managing vertical construction projects with an aptitude for and an ability to manage a variety of challenging projects. The candidate will possess experience in preparation of scope, budget, schedule, documents for the selection of consultants, negotiating agreements, management of projects through all phases of development including planning, programming, design, bid documentation, procurement, construction administration, and warranty administration as well as the oversight of design consultants, contractors, and stakeholders.
The top candidate will have experience in the latest construction methods and technology including Building Information Modeling (BIM), document control programs, and scheduling programs. General Description
Performs advanced professional and administrative work with supervisory responsibilities in the management of construction projects for the County.
Works under administrative supervision, developing and implementing programs within organizational policies and reports major activities to executive level administrators through conferences and reports.
Minimum Education and Experience RequirementsRequires a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in architecture and/or engineering or closely related field; Master's degree preferred.
Requires six (6) years in professional architectural or engineering work, including four (4) years of experience in project management and supervision of staff appropriate to the area of assignment or closely related experience.
Special Certifications and LicensesRegistration as a professional architect or registered engineer or NCIDQ (Space Planning Only) based upon area of assignment.

SCOPE OF WORK
Duties and Responsibilities
The functions listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this class. Management may assign additional functions related to the type of work of the job as necessary.
Manages and monitors construction contractors and consultants; develops, administers and negotiates construction and consultant contracts, master plan studies, amendments, change orders, and work authorizations.
Coordinates stakeholders including user and County agencies: County Attorneys, Purchasing, Small Business Division, Building Departments; FDOT and other regulatory agencies.
Supervises other project managers and engineering technicians; performs reviews and oversight of projects managed by subordinates; reviews plans and specifications, engineering calculations, pay applications, invoices, and Florida Building Code.
Reviews project progress and resolves design and construction related issues; negotiates fees and scope with consultants; designs projects, signs and seals construction documents, permit applications and reports.
Assists with contract developments and bidding process; reviews bids for conformance to construction documents; administers and manages consultant and contractor contracts for adherence and performance.
Establishes a Quality Control/Quality Assurance (QC/QA) Project Program and procedures for the Project Management Section and the Division to standardize the project management process, improve quality and performance.
Carries out special assignments requested by Division Director; meets with subordinates to review the status of their assigned projects; prepares job performance evaluations for subordinates.
Conducts meetings with consultants and contractors to review progress of work and manage all aspects of the project; reviews and approves invoices and payment requests from consultants and contractors; assists in the preparation of new fiscal year budget requests.

The VDC Project Manager plays a pivotal role in advancing construction planning through accurate coordination and quality by integrating reality capture technologies and digital workflows. This position leads the implementation of Building Information Modeling (BIM), field technology, and model-based processes to enhance coordination, precision, and efficiency across all phases of the project lifecycle. The VDC Project Manager collaborates closely with preconstruction, operations, and field teams to ensure that models, data, and technology are seamlessly aligned with project delivery and on-site execution.

The Clinical Project Manager will play a critical role in leading and supporting Clinical Information Systems (Clinical IS) initiatives across a large healthcare organization. This role focuses heavily on clinical applications and Epic-integrated projects, managing efforts from initiation through go-live and stabilization.
This position also supports clinical growth and infrastructure initiatives, requiring experience aligning clinical operations, facility readiness, and technology deployment.

The Director of Facilities Planning & Construction Management is accountable for the effective design of all of the facilities and grounds within Aspirus. This firm has been in business since the early 90s and has a strong client base & pipeline of work. They work in the residential, the commercial, the retail, and the industrial spaces, and have a special clients division as well. This company has a large account with Costco, and Costco is expanding their operation over the next 4 years. Due to this expansion, as well as the appetite for growth, the team is looking for Travel Project Managers who are capable of managing these types of projects.
-Your new role-
As a Travel Project Manager for this company, you would be tasked with managing various projects across the Northeast for Costco. Projects are typically 4–6 months and are located in populated cities. The role is a 10-4 schedule. Meaning, you would work 10 days on site and then would be off for 4 days. When traveling to site, the company would cover expenses, you would have a fully covered rental, and there is an uplift & LOA. On the days when you are on site, there is a +15% uplift on your salary! There is also a $185/day LOA. Due to the nature of the role, this position can be located in many locations. As long as you are able to get to site in a realistic fashion, you can live wherever you would like.

Direct the contract management and project team activities for one or more large assigned capital building projects from inception to final completion. Calcon Constructors, Inc., headquartered in Englewood is celebrating our 45th year as a commercial general contractor in Colorado. Emphasizing a one-team approach, Calcon offers preconstruction, design/build, construction management, and general contracting services. All our programs are tailored to meet each client's individual needs. We pride ourselves on skill, integrity, quality, and results.
A Project Engineer is charged with the responsibility of providing technical support to the Project Manager and Superintendent on a project to ensure safe projects and desirable outcomes for our Clients and Company. Since nearly all of our work is negotiated with repeat and referral clients we must ensure that our projects are well planned whether they are small or large.
General responsibilities include:
* Act as the primary point of contact with the Project Manager or Senior Project Manager to ensure work is completed in conformance with project drawings and specifications.
* Assist with pre-construction tasks.
* Coordinate project documents (RFI's, submittals, drawings, etc...), and monitor timely turn-around on these same items.
* Review submittals making sure they are accurately reviewed and coordinated, & materials are being procured in conformance with the project schedule.
* Identify any missing information from construction documents and work through those differences with project team members (Owners, Calcon, subcontractors, Architects).
* Aid in the preparation of subcontracts / purchase agreements for projects.
* Coordinate subcontractors' work schedules with the project Superintendent.
* Monitor project safety requirements.
* Perform project closeout in conformance with the contract and to the Owners satisfaction.
* Foresee potential problems and organize the team to avoid/resolve issues before they impact the project(s).
* Resolve common project problems to maintain good business relationships and outcomes for Calcon.
* Assist during preconstruction and estimating. Duties to include quantity take-offs and bid leveling
* Assist with project schedule and associated schedule updates in conjunction with the project superintendent.
Qualifications:
* B.S. degree in Engineering, Construction Management with 1-2 years' experience.
* Intern experience required
* Solid computer skills; Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and scheduling software.
* Verifiable work references demonstrating exceptional skills and achievements including:
* High level of professionalism; Dependable, results-focused and ethical
