- Medicine Specialty Job Details:
- Must have medical/surgical and step-down unit experience
- ICU experience preferred
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
- Provide nursing care to patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex
- Assume responsibility for assigned group of patients
- Document patient responses to nursing interventions and medical treatments
- Assist physicians in patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
- Obtain and monitor physiological data, observe patient manifestations and intervene when necessary
- Administer medications as prescribed
- Initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products
- Interact with families and patients regarding care plans and discharge planning
- Make referrals for patient care needs to appropriate personnel
- Delegate tasks to support staff
- Required certifications: Current Oklahoma RN License or multistate compact RN License (eNLC), Current BLS from American Heart Association
- Associate's Degree in Nursing from accredited program required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills required
