About the Clinician's Workday

The psychiatrist will provide comprehensive psychiatric care to adult patients with serious mental illness in an inpatient state hospital environment. Daily responsibilities include managing treatment for a census of 297 patients including SMI population, forensic psychiatry cases, court-ordered individuals, dual diagnosis, and NGRI patients. The clinician will conduct psychiatric evaluations, develop treatment plans, and provide ongoing medication management in a long-term care setting. Board certification is required with full-time 40-hour weekly commitment and no call responsibilities associated with this position.
