Plumbing Superintendent (Commercial Construction)
Location: Phoenix
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: $100,000 – $120,000 per year (DOE)
About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Commercial Plumbing Superintendent to lead field operations on commercial construction projects throughout the Phoenix area. This position is responsible for managing jobsite plumbing crews, coordinating with project management, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.
This is a key leadership role for someone who thrives in the field and has strong experience managing large-scale commercial plumbing installations.
Key Responsibilities
Field Leadership
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of plumbing foremen, journeymen, and apprentices
- Manage manpower planning, crew productivity, and jobsite logistics
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and performance guidance to field teams
Project Execution
- Review blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure proper installation
- Coordinate with general contractors, project managers, and other trades
- Track job progress and proactively address field challenges
Safety & Compliance
- Enforce OSHA and company safety standards
- Conduct safety meetings and ensure jobsite compliance
- Ensure all installations meet applicable plumbing codes and regulations
Quality Control
- Maintain high standards of workmanship across all projects
- Monitor labor productivity and materials usage
- Ensure projects stay on schedule and within scope
Qualifications
7–10+ years of commercial plumbing field experience
3+ years in a Superintendent or Foreman leadership role
Strong knowledge of commercial plumbing systems and construction practices
Ability to read blueprints, plans, and specifications
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications
Experience managing large commercial projects such as hospitals, schools, multi-story buildings, or industrial facilities
OSHA 30 certification
Experience coordinating multiple crews and subcontractors
