You will be joining our current team of two Hematologist/ Medical Oncologists and 2 Oncology Advanced Practice Registered Nurses in a physician led, integrated health system group practice
HEMATOLOGY/ONCOLOGY TEAM
* Caring and attentive team of support services including genetic counselor, nutrition support, social work, nurse navigation, research nurse, physical rehabilitation, and lymphedema specialists
* Specialty services include on-site Radiation Oncology, Surgery, Interventional Radiology & Cardiology and Palliative Care
* Multidisciplinary Tumor Board Conferences
* Telemedicine/community cancer center included
* Quarterly meetings with Hem/Onc providers. Part of a comprehensive oncology service line through Health System which allows easy access to peer networking and mentorship opportunities with colleagues in Duluth and Fargo
* Being a dyad led organization, Physician leadership partnered with Administrative leadership.
PRACTICE SPECIFICS
* Consultative call only; hospitalists routinely admit and cover patients at night. Approximately 10 days of call a month.
* Average follow up visits and 1 2 new patients per day.
* Outreach possibility after practice established
* Nurse Practitioner run High Risk Breast Program & Survivorship Clinic
* Low Dose CT Lung Cancer Screening program
* 24 chair on-site Ambulatory Infusion Center with an average volume of 40 patient visits per day. Administration of chemotherapy, immunotherapy, supportive medications including antibiotics, iron, IVIG and blood/blood products.

Unit Description: The cancer center nurse provides safe nursing care for patients in the Reddy Cancer Center by demonstrating nursing knowledge through the application of the nursing process specific to data collection, assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Acts in accordance with the American Nurses Association code for nurses, follows the New York State Nurse Practice Act, and adheres to the definition and philosophy of the Alice Hyde Nursing Department. Demonstrates knowledge of principles of growth and development; advocates and practices age specific, patient focused care to include, adults, and geriatrics. Leadership abilities are demonstrated in functioning as a professional role model. Must be able to function independently within the Reddy Cancer Center. The nurse may be required to provide chemotherapy, special medical outpatient procedures, clinical coverage in radiation oncology department, and other procedures as indicated for optimum cancer care. We’re hiring Event Emergency Medical Technicians (Event EMTs)that will respond to emergent and non-emergent requests for medical assistance and various other public safety concerns. Event EMTs are expected to deliver high-quality patient care and customer service to event guests, venue and event staff in the most expedient, professional, safe, caring and cost-effective manner possible within the prescribed scope of practice, established protocols and company policies.
Responsibilities:
Ensures all event medical operations and activities are aligned with CrowdRx goals, strategic plans, and contractual obligations.
Delivers on-site Basic Life Support (BLS) care in accordance with all applicable medical guidelines, protocols, scope of practice, and Company policies.
Calmly, professionally, and effectively responds to requests for emergency medical assistance and public safety concerns within assigned venues or event areas.
Conducts thorough patient assessments, recognizes changes in patient condition and provides appropriate emergency medical treatment often in high stress environments.
Coordinates and arranges emergent and non-emergent patient transport to higher levels of care, communicating effectively with EMS colleagues and receiving facilities.
Utilizes medical equipment and procedures—including stretchers/gurneys, airway equipment, IV supplies (as authorized), splints, bandages, medications, and PPE—to deliver safe, high-quality patient care, within their appropriate scope of practice.
Communicates clearly, compassionately, and professionally with patients, family members, bystanders, venue staff, CrowdRx leadership, dispatch personnel, public safety officials, and other responding agencies.
Communicates public health and safety concerns to venue staff and internal management as appropriate.
Uses and operates communications systems, medical equipment, cleaning equipment, office equipment, and other tools necessary to perform assigned duties.
Listens to and follows direction from Dispatch and provides timely updates regarding patient status, scene conditions, and response outcomes via radio or telephone.
Completes, generates, and submits all required patient care reports, response documentation, and statistical data accurately and in accordance with Company policy.
Maintains familiarity with and adheres to evolving medical treatment protocols, quality assurance standards, local Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and all Company policies.
Maintains all required state certifications, licenses, and credentials necessary to perform EMT duties and remains current on continuing education requirements.
Attends and completes all mandatory training sessions, in-service programs, and assigned Company training within required timeframes.
Operates Company vehicles in accordance with Risk & Safety policies and applicable traffic laws, including those governing emergency response vehicles.
Maintains a driving record that meets Company Risk & Safety policy requirements.
Demonstrates the ability to quickly and safely locate addresses and venue locations using knowledge of venue layouts and various systems, with or without electronic navigation tools.
Performs beginning-of-shift vehicle, equipment, and supply checks to ensure mechanical readiness and operational availability.
Immediately reports vehicle, equipment, or supply deficiencies, safety concerns, or unusual incidents to the Supervisor.
Notifies Fleet Maintenance and/or Supervisor of any mechanical failures or equipment malfunctions.
Monitors and maintains first aid rooms, medical stations, vehicles, and medical gear, ensuring all supplies are stocked, in-date, properly tagged, clean, and in good working order.
Ensures vehicles and equipment are cleaned, restocked, fueled, and secured at the conclusion of each shift.
Properly maintains issued uniforms and response gear and consistently utilizes required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Follows all policies, procedures, assigned report times, and deployment instructions.
Fosters and maintains cooperative, respectful, and professional working relationships with coworkers, supervisors, venue staff, public safety personnel, and external partners.
Conducts self in a professional manner and adheres to the Company’s Standards of Conduct at all times.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Washington State EMT credential required (or ability to obtain prior to start date)
- CPR/BLS certification
- 1+ years experience as an EMS provider preferred.
- 911 Experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a PAT (Physical Agility Test)
- Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Effective customer service skills.
- A working understanding special event operations and customer service
- Strong listening and comprehension abilities, adaptability to quickly evolving situations, and strong decision making ability.
