Plan, coordinate and oversee the maintenance, alteration, minor construction, installation and repair of college buildings, facilities, systems and equipment (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, carpentry, painting, etc.) Assist maintenance crew with tasks when needed and required.
Plan, coordinate and oversee the facilities department office, including the central work order system, reception, communication and correspondence. Assist Unit Office Manager with tasks when needed and required.

Manage the EMS (energy management system) conservation program at the College.
Coordinate the campus motor vehicle pool (vans and other vehicles); assure compliance with all DMV regulations such as registration and insurance; oversee regular maintenance and required service inspections to assure the vehicles are kept in good and safe operating condition.
Perform on-going facilities audits on campus buildings and utilities with emphasis placed on review of the physical condition of roofs, exteriors and interiors, the operation of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and other related infrastructure systems.
Assist in the implementation and development of long and short-range deferred maintenance projects; estimate cost of new projects and renovation assignments; follow established procedures for approval.
Maintain proper levels of grounds, maintenance, and shipping and receiving materials, supplies and equipment for assigned areas; order materials, supplies and equipment as necessary; take periodic inventories.
Coordinate activities in assigned areas with other functions in the facilities and operations activity; coordinate with instructional programs and public relations activities; assure staff is available to assist on special events; provide for proper furniture arrangement; arrange for equipment operation including HVAC, lighting and other systems and maintenance during special events.
Respond to emergency call-back and perform emergency tasks as needed.
Oversee and participate in furniture moving, fence mending and emergency repair or clean-up work; coordinate and assist in the preparation of facilities for athletic and special events.

Minimum
Any combination of education, experience and training that would indicate possession of the required knowledge, skills and abilities listed herein. This role is based in our Woodbury, New York office and requires four days a week in office and one day remote, following a minimum of six weeks in-office training. Prior case intake and calendar experience required. Paralegal certification is preferred but not mandatory.

Primary Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Handle intake process for new cases daily, reviewing case assignments, claim documents, and assigning cases
- Open and organize case files, enter key dates into case management system, and ensure accurate party and court information
- Perform conflicts checks on new case assignments
- Prepare correspondence acknowledging new case assignments
- Maintain firmβs master calendar, entering and tracking court deadlines, discovery cutoffs, hearings, conferences, depositions, and trial dates
- Monitor procedural deadlines to ensure compliance with court rules
- Enter court appearances, conferences, hearings, motion return dates, mediation and arbitration dates, deposition dates, examinations under oath dates, independent medical examinations, expert examinations, meetings, etc.
- Schedule and confirm all appearances, depositions, and meetings, and handle all adjournments
- Communicate and coordinate with attorneys, courts, adversaries, experts, translators, court reporters, arbitrators, mediators, clients, and non-party witnesses
- Reserve conference rooms, order court reporters, translators, videographers
- Additional administrative duties.

The staff counsel office of Plymouth Rock Management Company of New Jersey located in Woodbridge; NJ seeks a full-time attorney with an insurance defense background to handle New Jersey and New York Personal Injury Protection (PIP) litigation. The attorney would be responsible for handing a mix of New Jersey PIP cases filed in Forthright and New Jersey Superior Court and New York PIP cases filed in AAA. The position would require the Attorney to analyze arbitration demands or lawsuits, prepare submissions and pleadings, conduct depositions and Examinations Under Oath and attend arbitrations, conferences, motions, and trials. The candidate must be organized, a team player, and able to handle a high volume of files, virtual appearances and in person appearances.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Handle all aspects of a high volume pending of 350 or more cases.
- Conduct depositions and Examinations Under Oath.
- Attend court conferences, arbitrations, motions and trials.
- Prepare PIP arbitration submissions and upload same to Forthright or AAA.
- Input and maintain information into case management system and ensure data integrity.
- Provides legal research, legal advice and direction to Claims on cases of significant exposure and complexity.
- Handle special projects as the need arises.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Possesses at least three to five years relevant PIP experience.
- Fully licensed to practice law in New Jersey.
- New York Bar admission is a plus but not required.
- Possesses at least three to five years relevant PIP experience.
- Possesses an ability to analyze complex litigation assignments referred from Claims and prepare litigation action plans that address legal issues and defenses.
- Possesses excellent knowledge of NJ Rules of Evidence and Civil Procedure, as well as, NJ and NY No-Fault Arbitration rules.
- Possesses excellent knowledge of all aspects of Insurance Law, such as coverage questions, UM and UIM Coverage, No-Fault, etc.
- Possesses an aptitude to work independently in making decisions, in file handling and communicating those decisions to the proper parties.
- Must be able to work in a paperless environment.
- Possesses strong computer skills with working knowledge of MS Word and Outlook.
SALARY RANGE
The pay range for this position is $105,000 to $130,000 annually. Actual compensation will vary based on multiple factors, including employee knowledge and experience, role scope, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
