Job Responsibilities:
Lead the development, implementation, and performance of CAE, Simulation, FEA, Stability, and Structural Analysis tools that support validation of new and existing vehicles, systems, and components. Manage a team of engineers, guide technical decision‑making, and contribute directly to engineering solutions when needed. Reports to the Director or Senior Manager of Component Development.
- Product and Technology Champion - Lead development of new products and structural systems, approving technical solutions and driving innovation. Identify emerging technologies and competitive trends; recommend product, process, and tool improvements. Support Current Product Engineering, Service, Sales, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Quality, and Product Safety on issues related to masts, attachments, durability, and stability. Conduct product reviews to ensure competitive, innovative designs move to production.
- Project Planning, Supervision and Technical Review - Ensure engineering work meets product goals, industry standards, and sound engineering practices. Review and approve test results and production releases. Support budgeting, resource planning, and personnel decisions (hiring/termination).
- Employee Development - Perform duties such as creating/revising job descriptions, conducting Talent Development discussion sessions, rating performance, establishing/tracking goals and assisting in the completion of annual wage reviews. Responsible for coaching, motivating, mentoring, and developing direct reports to successfully take on additional responsibilities.
- Leadership and Communication - Ensure teams meet product, cost, and schedule targets. Collaborate with department leaders to resolve design direction, priorities, and resource needs. Communicate project and departmental updates to management via written and oral presentations. Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related
- 16 years of product development experience, including mechanical design experience, project management, and supervision
- Skilled in finite element analysis (FEA), computer aided design (CAD), 3-D modeling, and simulation software; preferably Nastran, FEMAP, Simcenter, and NX CAD
- Good written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to travel occasionally with overnight stays (0-5%)
- Valid driver license and reliable transportation to travel locally between company locations during scheduled workday
- Ability to learn operation of lift trucks
- Per 8-hour shift. Sit 8 hours and stand 0 hours. Both typical and non-typical office environment (low to moderate noise level, low exposure to hot/cold temperatures, dust, fumes, and vibrations). Regular interaction with others and performs a degree of independent work. Physical and mental demands are akin to the majority of office positions with prolonged periods of sitting and prolonged use of a computer/keyboard. Infrequent lifting, walking, and climbing stairs. Brooksource is hiring a CAD Drafter to support one of our Engineering Services partners in Columbus, OH. We welcome entry-level candidates, this is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience and grow your CAD drafting skills within a supportive engineering team.In this role, you will create underground construction drawings to support utility installation projects across multiple states.
Preferred Experience: There will be on the job training
- Basic experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD
- Familiarity with Civil 3D is a plus.
- Understanding of drafting standards through coursework or hands-on projects.
- Ability to perform 2D drafting, including drawing multiple views

The Opportunity
As a dedicated Property Adjuster Specialist , you will work within established guidelines and framework to investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle complex property insurance claims presented by or against our members. You will confirm and analyzes coverage, recognize liability exposure and negotiate equitable settlements in compliance with all state regulatory requirements.
Property Adjuster Specialist focus on using technology and desk adjusting for a virtual first approach to inspections and claims handling. USAA also provides a company vehicle to physically inspect losses within your locally assigned territory. Field Adjusters may travel outside of their local territory to respond to claims in other regions when needed. This is an hourly, non-exempt position with paid overtime available.
This is a field-based role for Seattle or Kitsap County, WA. Candidates currently living in this location or willing to self-relocate are encouraged to apply.
What you'll do:Proactively manages assigned claims caseload comprised of complex damages that require commensurate knowledge and understanding of claims coverage including potential legal liability.
Partners with vendors and internal business partners to facilitate complex claims resolution. May also involve external regulatory coordination to ensure appropriate documentation and compliance.
Investigates claim damages by conducting research from various sources, including the insured, third parties, and external resources. May identify and resolve potential discrepancies and identifies subrogation potential resulting from unusual characteristics.
Identifies coverage concerns, reviews prior loss history, determines and creates Special Investigation Unit (SIU) referrals, when appropriate. Determines coverage through analyzing information involving complex policy terms and contingencies.
Determines and negotiates complex claims settlement within authority limits. Develops recommendations and collaborates with management for determining settlement amounts outside of authority limits and accurately manages claims outcomes.
Maintains accurate, thorough, and current claim file documentation throughout the claims process.
Advance knowledge of estimating technology platforms and virtual inspection tools. Utilizes platforms and tools to prepare claims estimates to manage complex property insurance claims.
Supports workload surges and catastrophe (CAT) response operations as needed, including mandatory on-call dates and potential evening, weekend, and/or holiday work outside normal work hours.
May be assigned CAT deployment travel with minimal notice during designated CATs.
Works various types of claims, including ones of higher complexity, and may be assigned additional work outside normal duties as needed.
Works independently solving complex problems with minimal guidance; acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
Adjusts complex claims with attorney involvement.
Recognizes and addresses jurisdictional challenges such as applicable legislation and construction considerations.
May require travel to resolve claims, attend training, and conduct in-person inspections.

May require the ability to crouch and stoop to inspect confined spaces, to include attics and go beneath homes into crawl spaces.
May need to meet all USAA safe driving requirements including verification of driving record through MVR & possession of valid driver’s license.
May require the ability to lift a minimum of 35 pounds to include lifting a ladder in and out of the trunk of a car.
May require the ability to climb ladders and traverse roofs, this includes the ability to work at heights while inspecting roofs and attics.
