Practices as a member of the interdisciplinary health care team responsible for the provision of medical nutrition therapy. Fosters continuity of the Nutrition Care Process across all phases of the continuum of care as recommended by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Performs nutrition assessment for patients identified to be at nutrition risk based on criteria outlined by the hospital and best practice standards. Calculates metabolic nutrient requirements according to the age and disease specific needs of patients. Performs nutrition focused physical exam to further evaluate risk of malnutrition as indicated. Develops a nutrition diagnosis as appropriate and consistent with the Nutrition Care Process. Creates and implements a nutrition intervention and care plan for all patients with a nutrition diagnosis. Continuously evaluates and monitors the effectiveness and outcomes of medical nutrition therapy intervention. Provides nutrition education to patients, family, and/or members of the health care team on recommended nutrition intervention(s) to accomplish nutrition goals; which may include, but is not limited to any of the following topics: specialized diet, enteral/oral medical nutrition supplements, food selections, eating behaviors, and community nutrition resources. Manages the delivery of nutrition care services according to the site of care assigned. Participates in performance improvement and research activities. Mentors dietetic interns/diet technicians. Actively assess, evaluates and maintains professional development and competencies outlined in the position description.

* Utilizes the Nutrition Care Process and WellStar Nutrition Care Policies when assessing patients
* Responsible for nutrition screen, assessment, diagnosis, intervention, and monitoring/evaluation of identified at risk patients
* Apply psycho-social, age appropriate, evidence-based nutrition care
* Document all patient encounters in the health care record in accordance with hospital and department policies and procedures
* Identify, monitor, and evaluate enteral nutrition support regimens. Manage enteral nutrition support under the supervision of medical staff
* Develop and implements transitional feeding plans
* Perform Nutrition Focused Physical Exams to evaluate malnutrition severity as appropriate
* Assess patients learning needs, barriers to learning, preferred learning styles and educational level and provides nutrition education accordingly
* Utilizes community resources through the continuum of care to foster positive patient outcomes
Develops, implements, and promotes quality services based on client expectation and needs.
* Collaborates with patient and/or family member, and health care team to assess nutrition and education needs of patients.
* Provides services and establishes goals based on the identified needs of patients and/or family members.

Position description

This position will assist with research at the forefront of Behavioral, Public, and Labor Economics. The position entails analyzing public and private datasets using quasi-experimental methods, assisting with literature reviews, helping set-up and analyze randomized experiments both online and in the field, and using computational techniques to test predictions of economic theory and to evaluate public policies. Will perform data analysis using statistical packages such as Stata and perform numerical simulations using languages such as Matlab. Will utilize collaborative tools like GitHub to manage projects and tasks. We will help prepare the researcher for applying to graduate programs in economics.



Duties will include:




  • Assists in setting up experiments in the field and online. Coordinates surveys and the data collection process. Responds to questions from participants.
  • Assist in the set-up and analysis of randomized experiments both online and in the field, and using computational techniques to test predictions of economic theory and to evaluate public policies.
  • Applies professional or research concepts to perform analysis of data and systems pertaining to moderately complex projects, policies, initiatives, / processes, and / or functions:

Position description

The Department of Earth and Planetary Science at the University of California, Berkeley seeks applications for an Assistant Project Scientist in the area of Atmospheric Science, specifically Cloud Physics, using Stereophotogrammetry, Remote Sensing, and Computational Modeling to study moist convection, with strong emphasis on instrument development (cameras), data processing (calibration, stereo reconstruction algorithms), scientific leadership, and mentorship in physical sciences.



This position will be in David Romps' group in the Earth and Planetary Science Department of UC Berkeley. The group at UC Berkeley and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL) uses theory, simulation, and observation of clouds and atmospheric dynamics to improve our understanding of Earth's climate.



The successful candidate will co-lead the development of cameras for the stereophotogrammetry of clouds, combining the camera data with the theory of physical processes and related numerical simulations to answer scientific questions about moist convective dynamics.



Assist with supervising and mentoring postdocs, graduate students, and undergraduate students. The Assistant Project Scientist will collaborate with David Romps' group to produce publications, as well as contribute to proposals and progress reports. Maintain the code base responsible for camera calibration, feature matching, stereo reconstruction, and volume filling. Develop new stereo-reconstruction algorithms to keep our program at the cutting edge of cloud photogrammetry. Manage the operations of the cameras, including calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

A registered professional nurse who functions under the direction of the Manager of the Operating Room and is responsible for providing leadership and assistance in directing all activities/services for the Operating Room of the Hospital. Responsible for the daily function of the OR "running the board". He or she manages the flow of patients maintaning polices and the best interest of all patients and surgeons. Has shared responsibility for supporting and adhering to standards of practices, system and department policies and procedures, and ensuring quality patient care. Other responsibilities include assisting with ensuring compliance with regulatory and legal requirements by all departmental personnel. will work under the Manager to ensure satisfaction, appropriate reporting, and coordination of departmental functions with the operations of the operating room. Works in collaboration with the Manager to maintain retention and recruitment. is surgical resource to all levels of nursing staff and nursing management for facility, Patient Flow, and surgical practices. Creates and maintains an environment that enables the hospital to fulfill its mission and goals, and fosters communication and collaborative practice with physicians and staff members. Practices as a member of the interdisciplinary health care team responsible for the provision of medical nutrition therapy. Fosters continuity of the Nutrition Care Process across all phases of the continuum of care as recommended by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Performs nutrition assessment for patients identified to be at nutrition risk based on criteria outlined by the hospital and best practice standards. Calculates metabolic nutrient requirements according to the age and disease specific needs of patients. Performs nutrition focused physical exam to further evaluate risk of malnutrition as indicated. Develops a nutrition diagnosis as appropriate and consistent with the Nutrition Care Process. Creates and implements a nutrition intervention and care plan for all patients with a nutrition diagnosis. Continuously evaluates and monitors the effectiveness and outcomes of medical nutrition therapy intervention. Provides nutrition education to patients, family, and/or members of the healthcare team on recommended nutrition intervention(s) to accomplish nutrition goals; which may include, but is not limited to any of the following topics: specialized diet, enteral/oral medical nutrition supplements, food selections, eating behaviors, and community nutrition resources. Qualifications:

Required Minimum Education:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with a major in nutrition / dietetics. Completion of a supervised practice didactic program accredited by the Accreditation Counsel for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND).
Required Minimum Certification:
Registered Dietitian / Nutritionist (RD, RDN) through the Commission on Dietetics Registration (CDR) within 6 months of hire. Licensed Dietitian (LD) through Georgia licensing board obtained within 6 months of hire. AHA-BLS preferred.
Required Minimum Experience:
One to two years clinical experience highly preferred. Experience with electronic medical record charting systems and other software relative to foodservice systems required.
Required Minimum Skills:
