Job Description:

L3Harris Space and Mission Systems has a need for an Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL) and Control Account Manager (CAM) Project Engineer (PE). This critical position leads the development and delivery of cutting-edge Space-based payloads and sensors for remote sensing, missile warning and track, and space warfighting within technical, cost, and schedule objectives of a project baseline throughout all phases of the program life cycle. This role is responsible for full lifecycle Project Engineering support for a range of software and hardware development, assembly, and integration and test efforts.

The position is critical to our warfighter customer to ensure delivery of crucial space products!


Essential Functions:
  • Responsible for successfully leading a project team to meet customer requirements within allocated cost and schedule commitments.
  • Develops, oversees, and coordinates the cost/schedule/technical aspects of an ongoing engineering project within the program guidelines set by the Program Manager and customer.
  • Reviews status of engineering projects and budgets, manages schedules, drives execution, identifies opportunities, and delivers results through achieving payment milestones.
  • Assesses engineering issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer-satisfaction goals and objectives.
  • Identifies, tracks, mitigates, manages, and dispositions program-level risks and opportunities.
  • Estimate resource and material needs for the project/product.
  • Provides the coordination between resource managers/supervisors and ensures all necessary reviews and approvals are received.
  • Understands how to develop a schedule using Earned Value (EV) and manage a project using the Earned Value Indicators on a DCMA surveilled program (highest rigor applied).
  • Participate in small teams and perform a wide variety of tasks to drive execution (e.g., value stream mapping activities)
  • Must have ability and willingness to work in a collaborative team environment on quick reaction projects and will have regular contact with customers.
  • Must be able to get a program SAP security clearance

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience
  • Active Top Secret security clearance required
  • Prior or current IPTL/CAM Professional experience
  • Prior or current experience with project engineering and program execution
  • Experience in managing multi-discipline programs across multiple locations
  • Experience in managing a team Integrated Product Team Leads (IPTL) and driving labor resources in a matrix organization
  • Experience with Technical Supplier Management, Risk and Opportunity Management

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience in space telescope, optical-mechanical development programs is preferred

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C, Denver, or NYC areas is $106,500 – $197,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET accredited) + 3+ years of electrical engineering experience (consulting preferred), OR
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or related Engineering Technology (ABET accredited) + FE exam completion + 3+ years of electrical engineering experience (consulting preferred), OR
  • Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering + 2+ years of electrical engineering experience (consulting preferred)
  • Utility or fiber network design experience required

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Drive sales to exceed personal and store goals while delivering outstanding customer service experience.
  • Support Brand Manager duties frequently acting as Manager on duty to accomplish the following objectives:
  • Support store talent acquisition and talent development; including but not limited to direct recruiting, partnership with Recruiting Department, training new team members and ongoing development plans for store associates.

  • Other duties as assigned and required.

Duties & Responsibilities:

The Advanced BioImaging Center (ABC) in the Department of Molecular and Cell Biology at the University of California, Berkeley seeks applications for two Project Scientist at the Assistant, Associate, or full rank. The Advanced BioImaging Center (ABC) at UC Berkeley aspires to be a world-leading multidisciplinary imaging center that drives important biological discoveries through critical new advances in all aspects of imaging technology and that drives the dissemination of that technology through a multi-pronged education strategy to scientists around the world. ABC was intentionally designed to maximize scientific productivity and impact by adopting groundbreaking imaging technologies such as the next-generation adaptive optical multifunctional microscope, incorporating the high-level technical expertise of instrumentation scientists, applied mathematicians, and computational scientists, and building worldwide collaborations aimed at tackling the challenges posed by terabyte and petabyte-scale imaging data processing, visualization, and dissemination. Members of the ABC have access to leading - edge imaging and computing hardware, as well as exposure to collaborators from a range of diverse disciplines, including in the fields of Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Mathematics, and more.



The purpose of this project is to develop a foundation AI model capable of extracting biological insights from 4D (x,y,z,time) datasets of subcellular dynamics within physiological contexts and across scales. Incumbent will advance imaging to generate petabytes of targeted and high quality datasets necessary to prototype and build this model. The Assistant/Associate/Full Project Scientists will help develop and execute the research program focused around ABC's overarching goal of moving cell biology away from the coverslip and into physiological systems. These positions will work within a dedicated team to develop and refine the microscopy techniques. This position will manage projects and provide regular progress reports to PIs and collaborators.



The incumbent will spend 90% of their time on ABC research goals and managing and maintaining equipment in the lab and 10% of their time training/supervising collaborators, graduate students and postdoctoral fellows on MOSAIC/iAOLLSM capabilities.



Key responsibilities:

*Make significant and creative contributions to designing, building, and testing of a new high throughput adaptive optical inverted lattice light-sheet microscope (iAO-LLSM). This instrument aims to achieve a 10-fold increase in data acquisition throughput while maintaining the high-quality optical performance demonstrated in our previous work.

*Use, maintain, and oversee the operations of the two next-generation multimodal optical scopes with adaptive imaging correction (MOSAIC) microscopes at the ABC.

*Actively participate in handling/mounting biological samples on advanced microscopes and collect 4/5D datasets.

*Collaborate with a cross-disciplinary team of AI scientists, data engineers, instrumentation scientists and biologists and generate high resolution microscopy data using novel transparent developing organism reagents necessary to reach the goal of prototyping and training a 4D foundation model.

*Actively participate in national and international collaborations, presentation of research findings at scientific conferences, and publication of results in leading peer-reviewed journals.

*The incumbent will actively participate in and occasionally lead efforts to develop new projects.

Himax Technologies is on the lookout for an experienced Pixel Design Engineer to join our Advanced R&D team in Irvine, California. Responsibilities:

This role will participate in new pixel designs and improvements of existing pixels by working closely with other design teams. This position is responsible primarily for pixel layouts including front-end, back-end and optical structure.

> Skillful and creative on optimizing pixel layout based on:

  • Process flow information
  • Layout design rules
  • Pixel timing constraints and noise analysis
  • Signal interferences analysis inferred by Capacitance extractions

> Pixel array composition, including:

  • Implementing the floorplan of a pixel array
  • DRC and LVS verifications on whole pixel array
  • The layouts of dark pixel reference and other special pixels
  • Interfaces with readout and pixel driver circuits
  • Optical structure extensions beyond the active array boundaries

> Optical Design:

  • Optimize optical structure layout shifts to accommodate image height dependent module lens CRAs

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree with 10+ years or Master's degree with 7+ years of hands-on experience with CIS pixel layout
  • Masterful on IC layout related EDA tools and layout parasitic capacitance extraction EDA tools
  • Knowledgeable about typical physics, basic timing and operation principles of CIS pixel
  • Medium level programming skills.


Preferred Experience:

  • Background is Electrical Engineering, Physics or Photonics.
  • Familiar with CMOS image sensor process integration, device physics and optics are good pluses.


Salary Range

  • $120,000- $180,000 (DOE)

The Regional Manager-Construction Operations manages OSP Construction Managers responsible for all day-to-day productivity and readiness of construction teams in their region. This position has ultimate responsibility for all Service Address and Production Footage delivery for each of the construction teams. Provides leadership and drives safety, consistency, productivity, and quality necessary to meet or exceed all construction targets in their region.

 

The Regional Manager-Construction Operations refines processes and procedures and communicates these operational measures and other information to Managers. Handles all escalations from local municipalities or adjacent TDS teams and communicates directly with business partners as appropriate. Assists the business unit Director with budget development and adherence and is responsible for an annual budget that includes headcount, equipment, vehicles, and project materials.



Responsibilities:
  • Resource Management & Development: Hires, motivates, and provides leadership and guidance to a team of OSP Construction Managers. Responsible for overall team performance in meeting or exceeding production targets and quality control for service address delivery and footage production (varies by production type). Ensures that appropriate developmental and technical training programs are implemented and attended by all team members in respective region. Recognizes associates for achievements. Handles escalated associate issues in conjunction with Human Resources policies. Responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels to meet on time completion of all construction projects. 
  • Technical Support: Provides technical direction and leadership for assigned markets and assists peers within adjacent teams as required. Monitors team and regional level production, safety, training, purchasing for assigned markets. Provides input into development of construction and safety processes and ensures compliance with overall policies and procedures. Assists in development of short- and long-range planning.
  • Cost Assurance: Monitors all capital labor, material, and expense charges within respective region. Assists in the development of financial and budgetary objectives. Reviews and provides the assurance of results.

Qualifications:

Required Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) -OR- 4+ years of professional work experience.
  • 5+ years in the telecom industry.
  • 5+ years in a supervisory role or equivalent leadership experience.

Other Qualifications

  • Strong technical background a plus. Should include an understanding of all aspects of OSP Construction: Fiber optic outside plant construction methods and best practices, trouble shooting, and common equipment installation and maintenance practices.
  • Lightwave transmission system experience preferred.
  • Solid understanding of all types of OSP Fiber Optic network builds designs, such as  centralized split and distributed split (including optical tap).
  • Solid understanding of OSHA safety requirements and guidelines as it relates to OSP Construction projects.
  • Excellent problem solving skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong interest in fostering relationships and team building (i.e. teaching, coaching).
  • Ability to multi-task and maintain a sense of urgency related to each separate issue.
  • Ability to handle stressful network outages, and/or customer impacting situations in a calm manner.

Join our Internal Constrcution Crew (ICC) in Delavan, WI!

 

The Fiber Construction Technician performs the general labor associated with outside plant construction for PON/fiber optic networks. This includes, but is not limited to, assisting with the installation of communications facilities (both buried and aerial). Work is performed in accordance with state and local regulations in a safe manner.

 

This position is eligible for a $1,000 sign-on bonus! (Payout terms apply)

 

Training:

As a Fiber Construction Technician, you will have the opportunity to obtain a Class A CDL through our in-house training program. You will attend safety training at one of our new facilities where you will also be trained on Pole Climbing and Bucket Trucks. On-the-job training includes exposure to various construction equipment including Directional Drill Rigs, Mini Excavators, Trenchers, and Locators. Fiber optic training includes Fusion Splicing, Fault Detection, and exposure to OTDRs and other advanced testing equipment.

 

The duration of training varies based on the team assignment. Training for underground teams is 3 weeks, with an additional 1 week required for aerial training. Depending on factors such as market needs, prior skills, and team size, some individuals may only complete underground training, while others may undergo the full 4-week program, including aerial training.

Responsibilities:
  • Performs general construction labor in various weather conditions while utilizing safety fundamentals.
    • Assists with and performs the transportation of required construction equipment to and from the worksite.
    • Assists with and performs the placement of new aerial and buried fiber according to maps, staking sheets, and locate markings.
    • Uses hand tools, cable locators, and test equipment.
    • Installs and/or sets enclosures (buried and aerial) vaults, pedestals, and handholes.
    • Climbs poles, ladders, towers, and other structures as needed; uses bucket truck when required.
    • Marks/labels fiber optic and/or copper facilities.
    • Uses dispatching application and associated tools.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ months experience in any combination of the following areas: customer service, electrical or utility construction, -OR-technical certification (or higher) -OR- current military service, or prior military service with honorable discharge.
  • Must follow the TDS attendance guidelines in order to meet TDS’s business needs including but not limited to our obligations to our customers and to our customers’ needs.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and remain eligible for DOT requirements.

Other Qualifications

  • Must have the ability to obtain a Class A CDL. A current CDL is preferred at hire, but TDS will train and certify eligible associates through its in-house CDL certification program after hire.
  • Physical requirements may vary based on company needs: Ability to climb poles, ladders, towers, and other structures as needed. Ability to kneel, dig, lift, and pull.

About the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at the Georgia Institute of Technology

The School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at the Georgia Institute of Technology is one of the largest producers of electrical engineers and computer engineers in the United States. Almost 2,600 students are enrolled in the School's graduate and undergraduate programs, and in the last academic year, 801 degrees were awarded. All ECE undergraduate and graduate programs are in the top five of the most recent college rankings by U.S. News & World Report.

In addition to the main campus in Atlanta, Georgia, ECE also has permanent operations at Georgia Tech-Lorraine in France and Georgia Tech-Shenzhen in China. Job Summary

The School of Electrical and Computer Engineering is seeking to hire Research Scientist.

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Conceive, plan, and conduct individual research in broad areas relevant to the mission of the laboratory (imaging, therapy and contrast/therapeutic agents.
  • Serve as the technical lead for the laboratory in your area of expertise.
  • Plan and direct a number of collaborative research projects including coordination of research activities between groups and disciplines.
  • Develop new instruments, materials, processes, scientific methods, approaches and algorithms.
  • Responsible for directing others; plans, organizes, and supervises the work of laboratory scientists, engineers, and technicians. Evaluate progress and results obtained, recommend major changes to achieve overall objectives.
  • Participate in strategic planning; key role in identifying and acquiring research funding.
  • Review schedules, cost and documentation to ensure success of projects.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree



Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in optics, ultrasound, imaging and instrumentation.
  • Training in optics/photonics and acoustics.
  • Practical experience in area of laser-tissue interaction, ultrasound and photoacoustic imaging.
  • Proficiency with modern laboratory equipment such as solid-state and gas lasers, ultrasound transducers and arrays, computer acquisition systems, motion control systems, etc.
  • Experience in mechanical design automation applications such as SolidWorks.
  • Experience in optical design automation applications such as Zemax.

Job Description:

L3Harris Space Systems is seeking a Program Manager for the Agile Electro-Optics (AEO) Business Area. This role will be responsible for overall program management of Government contracts and is accountable for program execution, customer satisfaction, and financial performance. The Program Manager will lead a development program to design, develop, build, and demonstrate a next generation electro-optical space payload. Our AEO Business Area provides an exciting, dynamic, and flexible work environment. When you join our team, you will be supporting missions of national significance including Space Domain Awareness, Missile Warning and Defense, Science, and Weather as well as Remote Sensing for commercial and Government customers.

Essential Functions:

• Management of large, complex programs involving advanced electro-optical technology for space applications that are of significant strategic importance to the business area and nation
• Accountable for the cost, schedule, and technical performance of the program through all phases, inception to completion
• Lead the program to meet quarterly and annual financial commitments to the Business Area
• Grow the program by proactively identifying and capturing additional and/or follow-on scope
• Establish and nurture high-level customer relationships, and influence senior leadership to adopt and champion the business area concepts and strategy
• Effectively communicate within the team, upward with internal executive leadership, and externally with the customer to influence stakeholders for business success

Qualifications:

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Massachusetts state is $150,000-$278,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
