Northwest Family Medicine - St. Maries Clinic is seeking a compassionate, patient-focused RN to join the team!
Under the supervision of the Practice Supervisor, the Registered Nurse directs and/or provides professional nursing care for an assigned group of patients across the age continuum. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to direct or provide nursing care. Responsible for delivering patient care services in a Family Medicine setting. This position will focus on assessing, identifying, and solving nursing care and pre-operative problems during the pre-operative phase. This position will assist with emergency procedures, providing medications, and initiating intravenous fluid replacement. Demonstrates knowledge of equipment, instruments, best nursing practices, standards, and protocols. The Registered Nurse will need to project a professional demeanor and appearance while maintaining the confidentiality of the Hospital, patients, and employees as appropriate. Able to work under pressure and in situations that demand patience, tact, stamina, and endurance. Other duties as assigned.
Essential Functions and Qualifications:Β
- Operates all required equipment and machinery accurately and safely.
- Sets priorities to facilitate the timely and efficient flow of patents throughout the day.
- Conducts an individualized patient assessment, prioritizing the data collection based on the patientβs immediate condition or needs within timeframe specified by client facilityβs policies, procedures, or protocols.
- Start and monitor IVβs, administer pre-operative medications, perform pre-operative instruction, and explain patient's rights and procedures.
- Develops plan of care that is individualized for the patient reflecting collaboration with other members of the healthcare team.
- Assisting with emergency procedures, providing medications, and initiating intravenous fluid replacement.
- Performing physical assessments, taking vital signs, and documenting findings in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Collecting a thorough medical history from patients and family members upon admission.
- Initiates emergency resuscitative measures according to resuscitation protocols.
- Maintains confidentiality in matters related to patient, family, and facility staff.
- Provides care in a non-judgmental, non-discriminatory manner that is sensitive to patient and familyβs diversity, preserving their autonomy, dignity and rights.
- Maintains current competency in nursing specialty.
- Employees are expected to comply with all regulatory requirements, including Joint Commission Standards.
- Is familiar with organization, department, and job specific Environment of Care areas, including Life Safety, Hazardous Materials Communications, Emergency Preparedness, Infection Control and Medical Equipment Failure.
- Demonstrates eligibility for employment in the United States.
- A graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Current RN licensure in the State of Idaho is required.
- Ability to relate and work effectively with others.
- Knowledge of professional standards and regulations.
- Strong understanding of surgical technology and surgical procedure.
- Aware of professional nursing standards and performs in accordance with them.
- AHA BLS Certification.
- PALS and ACLS Certification within 6 months of hire.
- 2 years of relatable nursing experience preferred.
- CEN certification preferred.
- BSN preferred.

In this role, you will room patients, record vital signs, administer injections, perform venipuncture, urinalysis, EKG testing, set up and clean up procedure rooms for in-office procedures, properly discard all biohazard and sharps waste, and stock supplies. Must demonstrate good principles and practices of aseptic technique, knowledge of standard precautions, EKGs, urinalysis, venipuncture, including proper order of draw and processing specimens, and basic pharmacology.
Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proof of Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
- Must be a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) with an active certification with the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) or National Healthcareer Association (NHA).
- Aware of standards of cleaning and performs in accordance with them.
- Ability to relate and work effectively with others.

At Northwest Specialty you would perform radiologic imaging procedures on appropriate anatomical regions in accordance with accepted standards of practice and protocols. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Gains patient cooperation by reducing anxieties; providing explanations of treatment; answering questions. Minimizes radiation to patient and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques, using beam restrictive devices, patient shielding, and knowledge of exposure factors. Maintains production and quality of radiographic images by following established standards and procedures. Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records. Cooperates with facility healthcare personnel and complies with facility policies and procedures.Β Β
Qualifications and Preferred Experience:Β

- Graduate of an approved two-year Radiologic Technology program.Β

This ER Registered Nurse opportunity is per diem and offers a convenient varied flexible schedule.Β We are looking for a dynamic individual who will provide professional nursing care within the Emergency Department; coordinates care planning with other disciplines. Provides care that meets the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care. In our Axis Spine Clinic, you will participate in the entirety of patient care including initial assessments, analyzing and interpreting symptoms, monitoring the patient?s treatment, and performing follow up assessments. This position is responsible for evaluating and interpreting symptoms, patients' histories, symptoms, physical findings, or diagnostic information to develop appropriate diagnoses; Recommending diagnostic or therapeutic interventions with attention to safety, cost, invasiveness, acceptability, adherence, and efficacy; Perform procedures and surgeries; Educating patients about self-management; And prescribing medications based on efficacy, safety, costs, as legally authorized, and based on the department?s Multidisciplinary approach.
Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Current licensure in the State of Idaho
- Graduate of a master's degree program of Medicine or Nursing
- Proof of Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification upon hire
- Must be able to achieve ACLS certification within six months of employment
