General Duties:
* Research Design & Methodology: Participate in all stages of the research process, from literature reviews and hypothesis formulation to the design and interpretation of econometric analyses. This includes applying methods of causal inference and structural or reduced-form econometrics.
* Data Lifecycle Management: Manage, manipulate, and clean large-scale datasets. Identify and resolve technical problems or coding errors to ensure data integrity from ingestion to analysis.
* Technical Programming: Write efficient, collaborative, and replicable computer code to implement analyses. Maintain version-controlled codebases that facilitate team collaboration and project transparency.
* Documentation & Replication: Maintain rigorous documentation of all work. Lead the creation of comprehensive replication packages and technical appendices to ensure research findings are verifiable.
* Output & Publication: Assist in the preparation of research manuscripts and project reports. Design and generate high-quality tables, graphs, and visualizations for publication.
* Project Coordination: Facilitate project momentum by running team meetings and monitoring statistical deliverables to ensure they meet quality assurance standards.

Established July 1, 2023, the College of Computing, Data Science, and Society (CDSS) is the first new college at Berkeley in over 50 years. Innovations in computing and statistics are converging to create unprecedented opportunities to use data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence to tackle pressing societal challenges from human health to climate change.
CDSS offers outstanding undergraduate major programs in Computer Science, Data Science, and Statistics. Over 1,500 students graduated with a degree in these majors in Spring 2024, and one in four held a second major in another discipline. CDSS undergraduates study with faculty from a wide range of fields, where they gain the knowledge, skills, and experiences needed to succeed in today's datafied world, interact with data ethically, and masterfully engage as informed leaders.

Responsibilities:
CDSS is seeking outstanding instructors to be appointed in the non-Senate Lecturer title series who can teach small and large courses. We are particularly interested in instructors who can teach courses that satisfy the Human and Social Dynamics of Data and Technology requirement for the college. This requirement is designed for the purpose of developing an understanding of how technology and data interact with human and societal contexts, including ethical considerations and applications such as education, health, law, natural resources, and public policy. Examples include: Anthropology of Science, Data, and Technology; Artificial Humanities: AI, Language, and Fiction; and Data and Justice.
Teaching a CDSS course may include holding office hours, assigning grades, advising students, preparing course materials (e.g.,slides, syllabus, homework assignments), providing clear and prompt feedback on student work, and maintaining the course website.

General Duties
The department seeks candidates who can support the success of all students through inclusive curriculum, classroom environment, and pedagogy. The Professional, Internal Auditor would be responsible for performing financial, operational, and compliance audits included on the audit plan for all of MVP's operational locations to ensure compliance with company and regulatory policies and procedures and analyze, interpret and document audit results. This position would be responsible for reviewing and testing processes and evaluating internal controls and providing improvement recommendations to MVP's procedures for appropriate control measures and efficiencies. This position would also assist the Leader of Internal Audit and Senior Internal Auditor in coordinating regulatory exams such as the New York State Department of Financial Service (DFS) and New York State Department of Health (DOH), and external audits as needed. The candidate would also assist in the overall coordination of MVP Audit Committee Meetings including the preparation of the Committee Meeting packages and meeting arrangements.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting/business plus 2 or more years auditing experience within an internal audit function or CPA firm or 4 or more years of experience in Finance or related areas within MVP.
Additional Desired Qualifications: Prior audit experience in managed healthcare industry and possession of a certified public accountant (CPA) or certified internal auditor (CIA) designation preferred but not required.
Examples of Job Responsibilities:
- Under the supervision of the Leader of Internal Audit, the Professional, Internal Auditor would be responsible for:
- Audit Execution - Execute audit program steps in accurate and thorough manner while maintaining workpapers of the highest quality.
- MAR / Other Audits - Assist in the annual execution of the Model Audit Rule (MAR) business process cycle testing, as well as any specific internal audits or consulting engagements.

Contact with others may involve detailed & lengthy dialogues & exchanges of information. Requires a moderate amount of interpersonal skills. Physical Demands: Low Intensity: Work requires a light or low amount of physical exertion. The job requirements for manual dexterity or physical manipulation are limited. Position Title: Coord, Patient Flow
Department: Regional Referral Center
Schedule:
- 20 hours per week, day shift hours
- Every other weekend and holiday rotation
Purpose: Oversees bed management, including patients who are being admitted, transferred and discharged. Key accountabilities includes: serves as a contact person for patient care area staff, physicians and health related facilities; evaluates patient needs, appropriate level of care, referring facility capability, predicts bed availability and admission/discharge trends; facilitates bed briefings; understands hospital patient patient placement priorities; participates in quality oversight, ensures EMTALA compliance and also services are provided efficiently according to Genesis Medical Center and department standards.
Report To: Manager, Regional Referral Center
Supervisory Responsibility: Guidance: The job requires the provision of occasional guidance and training to others. The job does not have formal or official supervisory responsibilities.
Materials Responsibility: Limited: Work requires limited responsibility for material resources. Examples of resources could include supplies, equipment, inventories, small budgets, and other similar material assets. The employee has a limited amount of control over these resources. The cost of errors is also limited in terms of damage, waste or financial loss. Problems associated with material resources are not complex. The volume of resources may vary, but the level of difficulty in dealing with these resources is uncomplicated.
