In this exciting role you will:
- Drive continuous improvement in citrus oil processing and liquid compounding operations.

Overview:

This full-time role is ideal for early-career engineers with 2+ years of experience in process automation, hands-on DeltaV Batch DCS work, and exposure to regulated manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as automation engineer for assigned unit operations, including DeltaV Batch DCS configuration and control module development
- Translate process engineering narratives into functional requirements and control logic
- Develop graphics in reference with process P&IDs and maintain communication with other process cell owners for alignment
- Interface with customer Process Engineering team and outsourced vendors
- Establish requirements for configuration, testing, and release in alignment with project schedule

Qualifications:

Description
Plans and designs manufacturing processes throughout the plant. This position maximizes efficiency by analyzing all aspects of manufacturing processes. Determines parts and tools needed to achieve product specifications and business objectives.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Under general direction, performs the management of projects related to aerospace component engineering and manufacturing for new and existing parts and assemblies. Establishes manufacturing methods and process sequence necessary to complete parts. Creates models, operation sheets and work instructions using Solidworks software. Initiates Tool & Fixture design concepts and maintains close feedback with other shop floor personnel, management and related customers and vendors. In this position, the employee is responsible for processing yogurt bases. Perform CIPs and periodic equipment cleaning to ensure the highest quality standards. Receive, test, and separate raw milk, then enter test results and milk load data into SAP. Perform all raw CIPs and cleaning tasks as needed to support departmental requirements while maintaining quality standards. Additionally, perform all pasteurizer operator functions and the other duties listed below.

What you'll do...
- Maintenance Work Planning & Scheduling:
- Lead the detailed development, coordination, and control of maintenance and project work packages to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient execution, particularly during facility ramp-up and ongoing operations.
- Develop and maintain integrated schedules for preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities, including weekend and shutdown plans, utilizing advanced planning tools (e.g., Primavera P6, Maximo, SAP).
- Create comprehensive work packages detailing procedures, permits, required materials, resource allocation, and craft-specific task sequences.
- Conduct field walkdowns to confirm job scope, work boundaries, safety conditions, and material readiness, ensuring plans are executable and align with plant procedures.
- Asset Management & Continuous Improvement:
- Identify spare parts and develop initial preventive maintenance (PM) job plans for new equipment, continuously reviewing and improving existing job plans based on equipment failures, feedback from skilled trades, and engineering input.
- Assess and understand risks during the repair process, developing equipment validation plans post-repair to ensure reliability.
- Lead and coach teams in leveraging machine monitoring tools to identify and eliminate production constraints, driving continuous improvement (SQDCPME) initiatives.
- Participate in MOS meetings to analyze equipment failures and contribute to Root Cause Analysis (RCA) activities.
- Coordination & Data Management:
- Coordinate multi-discipline work planning activities across mechanical, electrical, instrumentation & control (I&C), and facility workstreams.
- Interface with engineering, operations, and other relevant teams to validate scope, field conditions, and ensure work readiness.
- Ensure accurate data entry and status updates in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) (e.g., Maximo, SAP) to support real-time schedule forecasting, outage coordination, and KPI reporting.
- Generate comprehensive reports and metrics on planning progress, schedule compliance, and work package readiness for leadership and stakeholders.
- Compliance & Operational Support:
- Apply formal change management protocols to address scope, schedule, or resource deviations while maintaining configuration control.
- Ensure strict adherence to all government, industry, and Ford corporate safety, health, environmental, and quality standards throughout all planning activities.
- Synchronize resources and activities required for problem-free equipment start-ups and shutdowns.

Position description
The University of California, Berkeley, is seeking a Project Processing Archivist for a two-year project, with the possibility of renewal for a third year based on performance and availability of funding, to support the processing of literary collections. Among the collections to be processed are those from a Mellon Foundation-funded project to process and promote archival collections relating to women and poetry at The Bancroft Library. These include the papers of poets Mary Fabili, Aya Tarlow, and Red Jordan Arobateau as well as the records of presses and literary magazines, such as Poetry Flash and the City Lights Books records. The project archivist will also process the analog and born-digital papers of author Amy Tan. The successful candidate employs archival standards, tools, and best practices to provide access to collections containing materials in a range of formats, including audiovisual and digital. The successful candidate also applies effective project management strategies and communicates clearly with project stakeholders.

The Bancroft Library of the University of California, Berkeley, is one of the largest and most heavily used libraries of rare materials in the West. Its holdings include more than 800,000 volumes, 210 million manuscript items, 9 million photographs and other pictorial materials, 86,000 microforms, 9.4 million digital files, and 25,000 maps, as well as numerous other categories of unique material. The two largest collections are the Bancroft Collection of Western and Latin Americana and the Rare Books Collection. The archival and rare book materials of the Magnes Collection of Jewish Art and Life are also part of the Bancroft holdings. The Bancroft is home to three research groups: the Oral History Center (formerly the Regional Oral History Office), the Mark Twain Papers, and the Center for the Tebtunis Papyri. Responsibilities
The Project Processing Archivist will work under the direction of the Head of Archival Processing and in consultation with other technical services staff, curators, public services staff and, potentially, donors and researchers. Duties will include processing approximately 450 linear feet of literary archival collections and related born-digital materials. The Project Processing Archivist will also participate in outreach activities relating to the project as well as regular departmental activities. Responsibilities include:
- Archival processing of analog, born-digital, and hybrid archival collections
- Applying tools used in the special collections and archival communities (e.g., ArchivesSpace, OCLC, Alma, TreeSize, and ePADD)
- Contributing to project management, which might include helping to manage project documentation, supporting meetings, and contributing to problem-solving and analysis.
- Overseeing the work of student library employees as needed
- Consulting and collaborating, as needed, with staff in other Bancroft and UC Berkeley Library units to ensure appropriate processing of varying formats
- Assisting in planning a public research symposium related to the processed collections supported by the Mellon Foundation grant.
- Preparing social media and blog posts and a research guide related to the processed collections.
- Serving a regular weekly two-hour shift on a public services desk

The Processing Supervisor will be responsible for maximizing productivity and achieving Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) by managing and directing processing employees on assigned shifts. Lactalis USA, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring a Sr. Process Project Manager based in Londonderry, New Hampshire. As a Senior Process Project Manager, the role will carry out responsibilities such as but not limited to leading and executing strategic capital investment and process improvement projects that enhance the design, performance, and reliability of our yogurt manufacturing operations. The role includes overseeing projects from concept through full implementation, ensuring alignment with corporate standards, plant operational needs, and product quality expectations. Responsibilities include driving process design, managing cross-functional project teams, supporting production and quality operations, and ensuring successful commissioning of new or upgraded yogurt processing systems. Additionally, the Senior Yogurt Process Project Manager will collaborate with other Lactalis USA Corporate team members, the Lactalis Group Corporate Engineering & Equipment Department, R&D, Quality, Finance, and Plant Engineering and Operations teams to align duties with the company's goals and values.
- Define project objectives, deliverables, and performance criteria to support strategic business goals within yogurt manufacturing and processing.
- Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to evaluate technical constraints, operational impacts, and cost-benefit considerations.
- Partner with Key Stakeholders at Corporate and Plant level - including Production, Quality, Planning, R&D, Finance, Safety, Maintenance, and Engineering - to obtain buy-ins and to ensure that project designs meet business, operational, and regulatory expectations.
- Develop complete project packages including process flow diagrams, P&IDs, equipment layouts, scopes of work, cost estimates, timelines, ROI, and risk assessments required for capital project justification and submittal.
- Identify, evaluate, and prequalify suppliers, engineering firms, and equipment vendors aligned with corporate standards and yogurt processing technology requirements.
- Lead vendor negotiations to secure competitive quotations for capital assets, installation services, and engineering support.
- Prepare comparative analyses and recommendations for purchasing decisions and capital investment approvals.
- Lead end-to-end project management for yogurt process initiatives, from conceptual design through commissioning, ramp up, project closure, and handover.
- Maintain and distribute comprehensive Project Schedules, identify critical paths, implement mitigation initiatives, and propose acceleration plans to ensure all projects are completed in accordance with the timelines in the Savings Plans and ROI calculations.
- Coordinate and facilitate project review meetings, develop and distribute meeting minutes, and escalate issues or risks to key stakeholders as required.
- Attend Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and commissioning activities to ensure equipment performance aligns with specifications and project objectives.
- Oversee installation, startup, and optimization of yogurt processing systems, resolving technical issues and ensuring seamless integration with existing operations.
- Ensure all projects comply with corporate engineering standards, environmental regulations, food safety requirements, and applicable industry codes.
- Promote continuous improvement and standardization of yogurt processing technologies across the global manufacturing network.
- Travel to domestic and international manufacturing sites, vendor locations, and corporate offices as necessary to support project planning, execution, and commissioning.

Education
- Bachelor's degree is required.
- A major in Food, Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering is required.
Experience
- 8+ years working on Capital Expenditure, managing multi-million-dollar projects is required. Corporate or multi-site project management experience is preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in the Dairy, Beverage, or Liquid Food Manufacturing industry is required.
- 5+ years of experience in a USDA or FDA regulated industry is required
Certifications and specific knowledge
- The following certification is recommended for this role: Project Management Professional certification.
- Knowledge of Capital Project Management tools (Project Initiation, Stage-gate, Risk Management, Cost Tracking, FAT/SAT protocol Development and Execution, Project Closure) is required.
- Knowledge of Contract Management and Vendor Management are required.
- Knowledge of Food Safety & Regulatory requirements (Pasteurized Milk Ordinance, Sanitary Design, 3-A Standards, cGMP, Microbiological control) is required.
- Understanding of Dairy Process unit operations (Separation, Standardization, Pasteurization, Homogenization, Fermentation, etc.) is required.
- Knowledge of Mass & Energy Balances and Process Modeling is required.
- Knowledge of Tank and Piping design (including agitation, heat transfer, hygienic fittings, pumps, valves) is required.
- Understanding of Production Lines, OEEs, Capacity & Saturation calculations, and integration with upstream process equipment is an asset.
- Understanding of process Automation & Controls (PLC, Scada, MES, Batch and Recipe management) is a plus.
- Knowledge of MS Office applications, MS Project, and AutoCAD is required. Knowledge of Excel pivot tables and macros is preferred.

The Manager, Processing, will be primarily accountable for the daily management and execution of all milk-receiving and processing areas. This critical role will be responsible for achieving annual operational goals across key metrics, including safety, cost, quality, material yields, and capital projects. The Manager will provide strong guidance to optimize processing, manage daily operations, recommend manufacturing improvements, and will be specifically responsible for raw material management and the execution of the plant savings plan to enhance financial performance. Additionally, the role will include the vital responsibility of overseeing employee training and development. The role will report to the Assistant Plant Manager.

Key responsibilities for this position include:
- Enforce and apply all Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) rules, including participation in risk assessments and coordinating root cause analysis for safety events.
- Ensure strict compliance with government standards (FDA, OSHA) and regulatory requirements (Good Manufacturing Practices, FSSC22000).
- Maintain and enforce hygiene and food safety rules, coordinate deviation root cause analysis, and ensure proper sampling and control practices are followed.
- Execute quality assurance programs to prevent product defects and direct process adjustments to maintain conformance with quality standards.
- Ensure the consolidation and reliability of the Mass Balance for accurate material accounting and monitor analytical equipment reliability.
- Optimize technical and financial performance of the department, partnering with the Manager and contributing to the budget process.
- Drive raw material results and actively lead the execution of the plant savings plan.
- Complete and analyze Key Performance Indicator (KPI) files and reports covering production volume, yields, quality, and efficiency.
- Coordinate activities across departments by conferring with supervisors/Managers and collaborating to enforce quality and proper equipment maintenance.
- Manage staff administrative functions (e.g., approving time records) and manage relationships with outside vendors, while also leading root cause analysis for downtime prevention.
- The incumbent is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of Processing Supervisors & Assistant Manager in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
