Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures such as X-rays while ensuring patient safety and comfort
- Prepare and position patients correctly for imaging procedures
- Operate radiologic equipment and adjust settings to obtain high-quality diagnostic images
- Follow physician instructions and imaging protocols accurately
- Maintain proper radiation safety standards for patients, self, and staff
- Review and evaluate images for clarity and quality before submission to radiologists
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Ensure equipment is properly maintained and report any malfunctions
- Adhere to all healthcare regulations, policies, and procedures
- Provide compassionate care and clear communication to patient
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
- Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology or related field
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification preferred or required (depending on facility)
- Texas state licensure (or eligibility)
- Strong attention to detail and patient care skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Open to new graduates with proper certification/licensure
