Job Summary
The Sustainability Event Planner & Outreach Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing sustainabilityfocused events and outreach initiatives for Campus Services. This role schedules and manages events in the Community Garden, supports zerowaste event practices across the unit, coordinates outreach activities, and oversees student staff assisting with event execution. The position collaborates with Campus Services departments, campus partners, and external groups to deliver educational and engagementfocused programming that advances sustainability goals.
Responsibilities
Job Duty 1 -
Confer with event sponsors to determine scope and overall objectives associated with an event.

Based on client needs and facility availability determine resources required and prepare event schedule.

Make necessary facility reservations.
Job Duty 4 -
Arrange for any catering requirements, facility set-up, parking, security, etc. May coordinate attendee travel arrangements.

Design and create promotional/publicizing materials (print, website, etc.).

Event Planning & Coordination
- Coordinate sustainabilityfocused events, workshops, popups, and gardenbased programs.
- Reserve and manage the Community Garden as an event space, including scheduling, approvals, setups, and pre/post event walkthroughs.
- Develop event plans based on sponsor needs, facility availability, and required resources.
- Arrange event support services (e.g., catering, setup, facilities coordination, supplies).
- Create event materials and outreach content to promote programming.
- Conduct postevent assessment and followup to evaluate effectiveness.
ZeroWaste Event Support
- Serve as the units ZeroWaste Event Coordinator, providing guidance and resources to support sustainable event practices.
- Coordinate wastesorting stations, train staff, and track diversion metrics.
- Recommend improvements to reduce singleuse items and enhance sustainability performance.
Outreach & Engagement
- Plan and support sustainability outreach activities, including tabling, campus campaigns, and educational engagement opportunities.
- Develop interactive engagement strategies to promote awareness of Campus Services sustainability initiatives.
- Track participation and engagement outcomes.
Student Staff Coordination
- Recruit, train, schedule, and oversee student staff supporting events, tabling, and zerowaste operations.
- Provide expectations, training materials, and ongoing guidance to ensure consistent, highquality support.
Summary
Reporting to the Chief of SXU Police, Campus Safety Staff execute public safety-related duties in accordance with city, state, federal, and university regulations. Campus Safety Staff are expected to approach safety with effective communication to all campus partners, engage positively with members of our diverse community, and work as a team to secure and support the 24-hour campus operation. Provide routine patrol of both on-campus and off-campus University properties. Provide safety services for special events. Perform all duties in support of the University's mission, understanding that the positive and effective execution of these duties are instrumental to the education of the University's students. Campus Safety Staff also serve as a member of the Student Life team who are committed to creating a campus community where all feel welcomed, supported, and safe.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Patrol assigned areas (university buildings, dormitories, parking lots) on foot or in a vehicle to ensure security, and to make presence known in a manner that contributes to the deterrence of security breaches
- Provide escort services for visitors, students, staff, faculty, and individuals responsible for transportation of monies to or from university
- Prepare reports of daily activity and incidents occurring in, on or around campus property
- Provide visible patrol and observe and report irregularities, such as fire hazards, leaking water pipes, missing signs, deficient parking lot surface conditions, and security doors left unlocked; sound alarm in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons
- Perform periodic checks of emergency call boxes and/or streetlights to ensure proper functioning; report malfunctions
- Provide visible patrol and examine doors, windows, and gates to determine if they are secure
- Remains alert for the presence of unauthorized persons or violators, address security breaches and suspicious persons and notifies police authorities as needed
- Drive university vehicles, providing for the safe and efficient transportation to the university community and visitors
- Provide public assistance when requested, including lockout services and information
- Participate in on-going training and special tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- 21 years of age
- High school diploma or GED; Bachelors or Associate degree preferred
- Possess a valid Illinois driver's license
- Experience with software systems to manage video surveillance and/or access control preferred.
- Bilingual preferred.

- Ability to analyze situations quickly and objectively take the appropriate course of action
- Physical Requirements of Position:This position requires the ability to walk, sit or stand for extended periods of time, run when necessary, climb stairs, lift up to 50 lbs. with no assistance, and to work in adverse weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment may sometimes be loud. Some work will be performed on a computer in an office setting with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards. Also requires the ability to perform the following physical activities: sitting, walking, bending, stooping, finger dexterity, repetitive motions, talking, hearing and visual acuity.

Campus Services is a business unit within the division of Student Engagement and Well-Being. Campus Services is comprised of five departments providing services and support to students, faculty, staff, and visitors of Georgia Tech. In addition to these departments, Campus Services has an administrative staff devoted to strategically consolidating services in Capital Projects, Finance, and Sustainability. Job Summary
Provide executive level administrative services for one or more executive positions. Efforts include event planning, scheduling, briefings, and presentation preparation and facilitating visits to and communications with the AVP's office.

The module aims to enable students to understand, analyze and critically examine the purpose, principles and fundamental concepts of today’s financial markets, instruments and institutions, with particular emphasis on banking and its changing nature as not only an intermediary between lenders and borrowers but also as the provider of other financial services. The examination of these institutions is situated within the context of globalization and international trade that corporate, and governments operate in with particular focus on the financial industry.
Course Outcomes:
- Demonstrate understanding of financial statements. Students understand financial statements through discussions of working capital, cash conversion cycle, and cash management policy.
- Distinguish the different banking business models and fintech. Students differentiate traditional banking methods from financial technology applications.
- Develop financial strategies that include financial instruments. Students develop financial strategies using derivatives as a means of reducing financial risks.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess a Doctoral or terminal Degree (Ph.D., D.Sc., or equivalent) in Finance or Business with Finance credits or a closely related field. All faculty credentials must be issued by a properly accredited institution.
- Proven experience teaching in higher education, with familiarity in using Canvas as a Learning Management System (LMS).

Primary Purpose:
• Demonstrate professional leadership and communication both within Campus Special Education department and outside of the department.
• Act as the point person to coordinate campus Special Education services
• Assist all teachers assigned to campus in performing their teaching and related duties regarding students that receive Special Education services.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
• Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university required
• Master’s degree in Education from accredited college or university preferred
• Valid Texas Teacher Certification in Special Education required
• Valid Texas Teacher Certification in one of the following required:
Elementary or Middle School Generalist OR
Core Subjects EC-6 OR Core Subjects 4–8 OR
Other valid Texas teaching certificate appropriate for the grade levels K-8
Special Knowledge/Skills:
• Knowledge of current trends in special education
• Experience in coordination and development of Special Education Department activities

1. Collaborate with students, parents, and other members of staff to develop IEP through the ARD Committee process for each student assigned.
2. Implement an instructional, therapeutic, or skill development program for assigned students and show written evidence of preparation as required.
3. Conduct assessment of student learning styles. Plan and use appropriate instructional and learning strategies, activities, materials, and equipment that reflect understanding of the learning styles and needs of students assigned.
4. Present subject matter effectively and according to guidelines established by IEP. Employ a variety of instructional techniques and media including technology to meet the needs and capabilities of each student assigned
5. Work cooperatively with classroom teachers to modify regular curricula as needed and assist special education students in regular classes with assignments.
6. Participate in ARD Committee meetings on a regular basis.
7. Participate in selection of books, equipment, and other instructional media.
Student Growth and Development
8. Conduct ongoing assessments of student achievement through formal and informal testing.
9. Provide or supervise personal care, medical care, and feeding of students as stated in IEP.
10. Assume responsibility for extracurricular activities as assigned. Sponsor outside activities approved by campus principal.
11. Consult district and outside resource people regarding education, social, medical, and personal needs of students.
Classroom Management and Organization
12. Create classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate for the physical, social, and emotional development of students.
13. Manage student behavior and administer discipline including intervening in crisis situations and physically restraining students as necessary according to IEP.
14. Consult with classroom teachers regarding management of student behavior according to IEP.
15. Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
16. Plan and assign the work of teacher aide(s) and volunteer(s) and oversee completion.

17. Establish and maintain open communication by conducting conferences with parents, students, principals, and teachers.
18. Maintain professional relationships with parents, students, and colleagues.
19. Participate in staff development activities to improve job-related skills.
20. Keep informed of and comply with federal, state, district, and school regulations and policies for special education teachers.
21. Compile, maintain, and file all physical and computerized reports, records, and other documents required.
22. Attend and participate in faculty meetings and serve on staff committees as required.

The Campus Recreation Complex (CRC) is a 300,659 sq. ft. facility located on Ferst Drive on the west side of campus. The complex is a unique expansion of the existing swimming and diving venue built for the 1996 Olympic Games. Campus Recreation provides a premier recreation fitness center, aquatic center, recreation fields, and leadership challenge course for the Georgia Tech community. - Assisting Instructors:
Supporting instructors in teaching scuba courses, particularly entry-level programs.

- Dive Center Operations:
Assisting with dive logistics, equipment maintenance, and customer service.
- Customer Interaction:
Providing briefings, answering questions, and ensuring a positive diving experience.

You will make an impact by:
* Overseeing and coordinating all clinical-related activities within the nursing program
* Managing clinical instructors, cultivating and maintaining clinical partnerships, securing and scheduling clinical placements, overseeing clinical observations, required documentation and reporting, and ensuring compliance with college and accreditation standards
* Supporting clinical faculty in meeting course objectives and ensures that students successfully complete clinical assignments while maintaining the integrity and quality of the clinical education experience
Your Experience Includes:
* Must have a minimum of three (3) years of experience as a registered nurse; one (1) year shall be in teaching or clinical supervision, or a combination thereof, in a state approved registered nursing, vocational or practical nursing, or psychiatric technician school within the last five (5) years; or a minimum of three (3) years of experience in nursing administration or nursing education within the last five (5) years.
* Leadership knowledge in the program field to cultivate a learner-centered environment and to foster excellence.
* Knowledge in technological support and delivery of program area and services.
* Knowledge and evidence of strong supervisory and management skills as applicable to specialized program area.
* Knowledge of state, federal and local laws/regulations relating to programs, governmental compliance and other regulatory standards such as Title IV, ABHES, BVNPT, BPPE, and other accreditation standards.
Education/Licensure:
* Hold a minimum of a baccalaureate degree in nursing or a related field from an academic institution accredited by a regional or national accrediting agency that is recognized by the US Secretary of Education or Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
* Must have completed a course or courses offered by an accredited school with instruction in administration, teaching, and curriculum development.
* Current unencumbered California Registered Nurse (RN) License is required.
* Must have approval by the Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians (BVNPT) prior to assuming the role of Assistant Director of Nursing.
* Must possess a Certificate of Completion of a course in teaching methodology of at least 30 hours.
* Current CPR Card.
