Summary:

The CVOR registered nurse is responsible for providing direct and indirect nursing care to assigned patients, as well as assisting in monitoring and supporting the patient throughout the surgical procedure. They collaborate closely with the entire surgical team to ensure the optimization of patient outcomes by confirming all necessary surgical supplies and equipment are sterile and functional, assisting with safe patient positioning and draping, and coordinating immediate post-surgical continued patient care.

Essential Work Functions:
  • Maintain proficiency in Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic surgical procedures, including open and closed heart surgeries
  • Prepare the Cardiovascular operating room for the patient and surgical procedure
  • Assemble equipment, supplies, medications, and implants, ensuring equipment functions and supplies are available
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, and the surgical team to deliver coordinated care
  • Utilize data from surgical preference cards for the surgical procedure and surgeon
  • Position patients safely using approved devices to prevent injury and enable optimal surgical exposure
  • Actively participate in Universal Protocol and timeout to confirm patient identity, procedure, and surgical site
  • Handle and document specimens accurately to ensure diagnostic integrity
  • Provide post-surgical care coordination, including patient handoff to the recovery team
  • Assess, plan, and evaluate the nursing care of the patient before, during, and after a surgical procedure until patient handoff to the next phase of care
  • Ensure that sterile procedures are followed throughout the course of surgery
  • Respond effectively to emergencies, such as cardiac arrest, during surgery
  • Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of the position

Provides physical therapy interventions to designated patients under the supervision of a Physical Therapist (PT). Assists in monitoring patient progress through observations and follows up with supervising therapist. Works under PT supervision as required under NY State Education law.

• Follows established physical therapy plan of care, including physical therapy interventions and patient/caregiver education. Modifies specific treatment procedures in accordance with PT plan of care and Physical Therapy Assistant (“PTA”) scope of practice.
• Documents all care provided and maintain records per VNS Health policy and standards.
• Assists in monitoring patient progress through observation and follows up with Supervising Therapist in accordance with VNSNY policy.
• Complies with scope of practice for PTA, including a co-visit with Physical Therapist on all initial PTA visits and keeps PT informed. PT will re-assess patient every 6 visits or 30 days (whichever comes first).
• Manages assigned caseload; provides physical therapy services to patients as directed per PT plan of care.
• Participates in VNS Health meetings, including but not limited to, interdisciplinary team meetings, in-service and training programs, rehab services meetings and caseload reviews.
• Travels to patients’ homes and/or other facilities with varying environments (e.g., elevated buildings, walk-ups, care facilities, single/multiple family homes, presence of pets, etc.) using approved transportation options to deliver direct care to the patient.
• Assists patients with therapeutic interventions and activities of daily living, which may require positioning, moving, transferring and lifting patients of varying body sizes and physical conditions, with and without assistance and as appropriate, instructing, demonstrating and verifying capabilities of family members and/or paraprofessionals. Ability to use and assist patient with use durable medical equipment as a component of the plan of care, including but not limited to wheelchairs, patient transfer lifts, ambulatory devices, slings, splints, orthoses, prostheses, and exercise/strengthening equipment.
• Provides care in accordance with Agency policies, practices, procedures and standards, including professional practice standards of care, which may require standing, stooping, sitting, crouching, twisting, reaching, bending and stretching to deliver patient care.
• Transports and utilizes required technology devices (tablet), infection control materials and supplies using VNS Health designated/supplied carrying case (backpack) weighing approximately 15 – 20 lbs to and from patient homes/care facilities, VNS Health offices and therapists’ home.

• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Licenses and Certifications:
New York State Certification as Physical Therapist Assistant required
Valid driver's license may be required, as determined by operational/regional needs.

Education:
Associate's Degree as Physical Therapist Assistant from a New York State approved program or whose educational credentials have been approved equivalent by New York State required

Work Experience:
Minimum of two years experience in clinical patient care (per NY State Education Law) required
Bilingual skills may be required, as determined by operational needs.
Basic PC skills preferred

  • Diagnoses and repairs complex mechanical and electronic problems with minimal (if any) support, utilizing diagnostic computers/software when applicable.

  • Performs remote triage to with RCRC and customers to determine best solution to assist roadside breakdowns.

  • Performs facility maintenance duties

  • Interacts with customers/drivers to properly determine nature of complaint once assigned a task.

  • Instructs and advises other technicians regarding maintenance repair procedures and diagnostics

  • Coaches/Mentors other level technicians

  • Advise shop management and other technicians on shop repairs

  • Utilizes key functions of Shop Management System and electronic documentation available

Expected salary range of $90,000 to $100,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).

 

Position is hybrid role, preferred reporting office location: 590 N. Oneida St., Glenns Ferry, Idaho 83623. 

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

Manages and performs regional service center activities, including maintaining regional inventory and work order management systems, coordinating transportation logistics of large maintenance activities, supporting regional management site teams in daily tasks, and maintaining the regional inventory counts with execution of field maintenance activities.

 

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Region and Site work order management executer. Responsible to, maintain, improve, and develop procedures changes the inventory and tool management systems.
  • Is responsible for maintaining, ordering, transporting, specifying spare parts, and planning logistics for the regional inventory management system.
  • Coordinates action items regarding anything required for outage planning, critical inventory, and notification activities through the BSC supply.
  • Manages service center activities, contractors, and staff.
  • Provide back-up support to management and operations team as needed.
  • Assists in managing land owner relations for the serviceable region.
  • Performs all other duties and projects as assigned.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors Degree with 3+ years professional experience in the Power industry OR
  • Associates Degree with 5+ years experience in the Power industry OR
  • H.S. Diploma with 10+ years experience in the Power industry
  • Familiar with order management system tools such as Maximo, Passport, Maintenance Connection, SAP, etc.
  • Familiarity with warehouse / inventory systems management
  • Strong knowledge of PC/desktop workstation and Microsoft Office tools
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Adaptable to quick paced, changing environment
  • Knowledge of training processes preferred

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Four-year degree in engineering, finance, project management
  • Experience in Maintenance and/or Operations work management
  • Previous Wind or Solar experience at managing a service center site or region.
  • Six Sigma certification
  • Experience managing land owner lease contract

ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Service Desk Specialist to join our team in Chantilly, VA.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • The Service Desk Specialists are the Tier 1 team members of an Information Technology (IT) Enterprise Service desk responsible for the IT-related service requests, and the service incidents and problems for the customer’s IT business and mission-focus enterprise systems.

  • The Service Desk Specialist will be directly responsible for receiving, prioritizing, documenting, and actively resolving end-user submitted requests. Specialists will use common IT skills and tools to provide “hands on” troubleshooting assistance at the desktop level.

  • The IT Enterprise Service Desk supports a wide array of systems, applications, and services spanning desktop operating systems (OSs), desktop and web-based applications, and unified communications (Video Tele-Conferencing (VTC), Voice over IP (VOIP) phones, etc.).

  • Able to learn and troubleshoot and repair/resolve various issues/requests for peripheral devices..

  • Knowledgeable with Microsoft Windows 10, basic networking concepts, PC hardware, and COTS software.

  • Must be able to work an eight-hour shift.  Shift hours for this position are from 10:00 AM until 6:00 PM.  Our Service Desk is available 0600 AM until 6:00 PM Monday through Friday.   

  • Proven excellence in written and verbal communication within a team and with end users, VIPs, team managers, and client managers.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 2 or more years of relevant experience.

  • Needs a Security + certification and a corresponding Compute Environment cert for a Microsoft Windows environment such as the CompTIA A+ or a Microsoft Windows certification.

  • Able to work directly with customers – over the phone - to elicit all necessary details to capture their IT service request, incident, or problem accurately and completely.

  • Desirable is Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) fundamentals.

  • Candidates must demonstrate the capability to collaborate and independently learn new technologies to be successful.

Clearance Requirement:

  • Must have a current/active Top Secret/SCI and be able to obtain and maintain a polygraph.

Physical Requirements:

  • The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
