VitalCore Health Strategies is looking for Satellite Clinical Therapists for Full-Time Days within the Massachusetts Department of Correction. The home site for this position will be located at the Massachusetts Treatment Center (MTC) in Bridgewater, MA.
- These positions are based approximately three days/week onsite at Massachusetts Treatment Center and two days/week onsite at our other sites around Massachusetts.

Clinicians who are successful in this field exhibit professionalism, compassion, resilience, patience, are open to feedback and willing to implement feedback received. They are adaptable to changing circumstances, have good boundaries, are non-judgmental and possess good clinical writing skills. Individual clinical supervision, as well as team supervision, is provided. Prior experience working in the field of sexual abuse treatment and prevention is not required; all necessary training is provided following official hire.
CLINICAL THERAPIST POSITION SUMMARY
The Clinical Therapist for sex offender treatment is responsible for providing sex offender specific and related treatment services to patients within the facility.
CLINICAL THERAPIST ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Some of the core tasks completed by Clinical Therapists include:
In collaboration with the patient, develop monitor and, when clinically indicated modify individualized treatment plans to reflect therapeutic needs/goals.
- Instruct others in the implementation of therapeutic and behavioral interventions and procedures.
- Display excellent listening and verbal communication and clinical writing skills.
- Deliver sex offender and related treatment to individuals and groups as assigned, in accordance with established performance standards.
- Document services provided in the health record. in accordance with established formats, standards and timeframes.
- Serve as clinical therapist to assigned patients, with frequency and amount of direct contact consistent with established performance standards.
- Review and integrate assessment information to write and monitor individualized treatment plans.
- Coordinate referral of patients to appropriate treatment groups and activities.
- Refer patients to psychiatric services as clinically indicated
- Meet regularly to monitor and review ongoing treatment or other needs.
- Provide training and consultation to treatment and security staff on clinical methods and procedures.
- Administer tests and assessments within the scope of licensure, certification and training, as assigned.
- Attend and actively participate in staff meetings, case conferences, case presentations, staff development meetings, and training activities, as scheduled.
- Provide clinical support and back up to other clinical staff as needed.
- Work cooperatively in weekly individual supervision with Clinical Team Leader for clinical and administrative supervision.
- Perform administrative duties including documentation of work hours, correspondence and coordination with other clinical and facility staff, etc.
- Maintain professional growth, staying current with skills and knowledge and transfer knowledge to other staff.
- Establish rapport and maintain objectivity and maintain appropriate personal boundaries.
- Be familiar with diagnostic nomenclature.
- Maintain strong and positive working relationships with team members.
- Other duties as assigned.
CLINICAL THERAPIST MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Must have, or be eligible for, independent licensure as an LICSW or an LMHC in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Candidates with independent licensure is preferred.
- Must have successfully completed a Master's degree program
- Prior clinical experience working with sexual offenders and an understanding of the dynamics of sexual deviance, is preferred.
- Familiarity with relevant research literature, clinical assessments, procedures and methods, particularly those designed for sexual offenders, is preferred.

How Role Will Make An Impact:
- Manages DTT of six WfFs supported simultaneously and independently- deployable as a WfF-specific DTT or multi-function team to fit specific unit-type, training needs.
- Supports live and constructive mission command training.
- Maintains currency with doctrine published by TRADOC and ensure TUCs are provided the latest training OPORDs and Scenarios.
- Maintains DTT flexibility in team member composition to provide modular training support requirements to low density branches such as chemical, sustainment, aviation, engineers, fires, etc.
- Works with the TUC to manipulate the OPORD or scenario to meet the unit's needs and to provide a realistic training event.

- Clearance: Must possess and maintain an active Secret Clearance.
- Completed a bachelor's degree, subject immaterial with a minimum of 12 years of military or U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Experience
- Responsible for managing and scheduling all Live, Virtual, Constructive, and Gaming (LVC-G) activities for each MTC under MCTSP.
- Key focus is on the synchronization of the national training schedule.
- Runs the Weekly Resource Synchronization Meeting (WRSM).
- Coordinates region to region and surge support to ensure all training events are properly resourced.
- Plans and provides training reports and products to the MTC Staff on task workload.
- Maintains the MTC Long Range Training Calendar and coordinates with MTC leadership regarding training events.
- Acts as a key leader in the absence of the SM and routinely coordinates with senior operations staff.

Position Summary: The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant is responsible for providing nursing care of specific patients under the direction of a physician. Follows stablished nursing standards, procedures, and practices and give specific patient care direction to nursing and other staff in compliance with MTC Medical and customer directives.
Essential responsibilities:
- Follow established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
- Provide direct patient care, evaluate outcomes, consult with specialists as required and adjust treatment processes as indicated to ensure optimal patient care.
- Perform CPR when necessary.
- Monitor medical condition of patients and report and document changes appropriate to scope of practice.
- Diagnose and treat patients appropriately, exercising independent judgment, initiating an effective course of action.
- Perform daily information rounds and prepare notes on detainees assigned to medical housing.
- Perform basic procedures including thermal applications, non-sterile soaks, application of dressings and casts.
- Order diagnostic and therapeutic services and assess efficiency, documenting results and making needed changes.
- Consult with facility medical director in a collaborative and cooperative relationship.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive charting on patient medical records.
- Enhance professional development through participation in educational programs, in-service and workshops.
- Attend scheduled staff meetings; promote communications and proper flow of relevant information in the medical unit.
- Utilize established corporate, facility and corrections policies and procedures in making decisions, while using sound independent judgment in performing the duties of the position.
- Implement basic cost containment and utilization management for patient care and facility operations.
- Maintain security and confidentiality of all patient medical records; observes applicable HIPAA rules.
- Closely monitor all potential catastrophic illnesses.
- Comply with all applicable pharmacy regulations, especially those covering controlled substances.
- Assist corporate counsel with responses to detainee lawsuits.
- Facilitate, where applicable, NCCHC/ACA accreditation of the medical program by providing the required level of efficiency and approved appropriate medical services.
- Comply with requirements of applicable regulations, laws, policies, standards and contracts.
- Perform rescue functions at accidents, emergencies and disasters to include administering basic emergency medical aid, physically removing people away from dangerous situations, and securing and evacuating people from confined areas.
- Maintain equipment and supplies.
- Requires long periods of walking and standing.
- Regular attendance required.
- Promote the development of positive social skills among staff and detainees through modeling appropriate behaviors and intervening when inappropriate behaviors are observed.
- Maintain accountability of detainees and property; adhere to safety practices.
Education and experience requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited program and current licensure in the state of Texas as a nurse practitioner is required. All education related to the licensure is required. Any additional licenses or certifications (i.e., DEA registration) are required.
- Two to five years of experience is recommended, preferably in a correctional environment or emergency medicine.
- Bi-lingual/Spanish preferred but not required.
- Must possess current CPR certification.
- Must successfully complete required per-service training.
- A valid driver's license in the state of Texas with an acceptable driving record is required, unless waived by management.
