A Snapshot of Your Day
As a CNC Vertical Boring Machine (VBM) Operator, you will be responsible for the precise manufacturing of components using CNC VBM machinery, ensuring adherence to safe and efficient production processes. You will operate and monitor the VBM equipment, ensuring that all products are produced to the highest quality standards and within specified timelines. Your role will involve a commitment to continuous improvement initiatives, including Six Sigma, 5S, and Lean Manufacturing principles.
Working with minimal supervision, you will manage your own workflow, including setting up machines, selecting appropriate tools, and making necessary adjustments to maintain optimal performance.
How You'll Make an Impact
- Set up and operate all large VBMs and perform various machining operations on a variety of parts and components
- Sets up and operates one or more of the following:
- CNC VBM with various control software
- Operate machine using various tables and fixtures
- Interpret technical drawings and GD&T; verify dimensions using precision instruments (micrometers, bore gauges, dial indicators).
- process inspections and record measurements to maintain tolerance and surface finish requirements.
- guarding and PPE requirements (29 CFR 1910.212) to prevent exposure to hazards.
- Safely handle large components using overhead cranes and forklifts per company certification standards.
- Complete production and quality documentation accurately.
What You Bring
- A minimum of 3 years of experience operating boring CNC machines with Siemens and/or FANUC controls is required.
- HS Diploma or GED required
- Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain Fork Truck and Critical Lift (B+) level crane licenses.
- Ability to remain in a stationary position at the machine console and move/position to set up tooling and inspect parts throughout the shift, reasonable accommodations available.
- Ability to manually lift up to 50 lbs for short durations, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to work with either written, oral, or graphic instructions.
- Proven ability to use precision gages and set tooling to high accuracies, preferably on large diameters.
- Ability to obtain an ACT WorkKeys National Career Readiness Certificate (Silver Level or higher) as part of the pre-hire assessment. Siemens Energy will assist in scheduling the test upon shortlisting.

In this role, you'll lead by driving manufacturing and repair processes, development, and improvement projects, and collaborating with combustion design and repair engineering groups to innovate new products. Your work will also impact society by helping to reduce the cost of fabrication and machining of gas turbine combustion components using our innovative manufacturing processes in the Gibsonton Florida location.
How You'll Make an Impact
- Process and inspect investment castings to customer specifications.
- Cross-train in all methods of NDT (VT, PT, RT-digital, UTT) used internally.
- May perform rework as needed.
- Train other employees in NDT techniques when qualified and directed by Responsible Level 3.
- Perform audits (internal and source).
- Interface with production to provide necessary NDT support levels.
What You Bring
- A high school Diploma or GED is required.
- Experience in at least one of the following NDT disciplines is preferred: X-ray, FPI, and Visual Inspection.
- General knowledge of other NDT disciplines and experience with investment casting is a plus.

Will be working on the installation and process parameter selection for components. Operators are also accountable for the safe operation of machines as well as required documentation and verification of components. Proper loading of parts on the fixture and selecting the right program to start the EDM process are the basics of this operation.
How You'll Make an Impact
Will verify that the physical parts' serial numbers match with the serial numbers on the router, opening work instructions to ensure proper processes, tools, and methods will be used while using lifting devices to move heavy parts when needed.

Using hand tools, including wrenches, Allen wrenches, and screw Drivers and If needed the use of calipers will be required.

This is a 4 days x10 hours Night position. The primary purpose of this position is to be skilled in the use of manual GTAW welding of superalloys including Inconel and Hastelloy. Thin wall welding and passing a 6G Butt Joint Open Root is a requirement. Experience with fitting and coldworking materials to shape within requirements is a must.
Success is dependent upon flexibility in working urgent priorities and effectively completing daily work assignments day to day.
How You'll Make an Impact
- Perform a wide variety of layout/fitting/ welding required to complete restore service-ran Combustion components to Engineered requirements.
- Cold work and form components to meet tolerance requirements.
- Use hand tools, grinders, burrs etc, to recondition surfaces to specifications
- Interpret detailed drawings/sketches, blueprints, manufactures specifications, etc., and determines necessary tools to perform required machining operations.
- Using material handling devices (Jib & B/C cranes and forklifts), loads/unloads parts from machines and/or assists crane operator.
- Must be able to attain Career Readiness Certificate at a Silver Level.
What You Bring
- Must be able to pass the following welding qualification tests: Inconel GMAW 6G Butt Joint Open Root to the ISO standard.
- Must have high school diploma and have 1-3 years of industrial-welding-assembly experience or formal training.
- Ability to obtain fork truck and crane license. Prefer to have previous experience.
- Ability to use basic shop math and precision measuring equipment.

Director of Manufacturing Operations
Location: Hybrid / On-site (as required)
Reports to: COO
The Director of Manufacturing Operations is responsible for end-to-end manufacturing execution and scale for DeNova Detect’s life-safety product portfolio. This role ensures that products are built safely, on time, on cost, and in compliance, while building a resilient manufacturing ecosystem capable of supporting rapid growth across retail, commercial, utility, and legislative-driven demand.
This leader serves as the operational bridge between engineering, supply chain, quality, regulatory, and commercial teams, translating product strategy into reliable, scalable production.
Core Responsibilities
Manufacturing & Production Leadership
- Own global manufacturing strategy across internal and contract manufacturing partners
- Establish and manage production plans aligned with sales forecasts and launch timelines
- Ensure consistent achievement of cost, quality, delivery, and yield targets
- Lead capacity planning to support demand surges driven by retail promotions, legislation, or national media exposure
- Drive continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies
Contract Manufacturer & Supplier Management
- Select, onboard, and manage contract manufacturers (CMs) and key component suppliers
- Negotiate manufacturing agreements, pricing, lead times, and service-level expectations
- Implement performance scorecards for CMs and suppliers (OTIF, quality, cost, responsiveness)
- Conduct regular audits and business reviews to ensure compliance and risk mitigation
Quality, Compliance & Regulatory Readiness
- Ensure manufacturing processes comply with all applicable standards and certifications, including:
- UL /ETL (as applicable)
- State and federal life-safety regulations
- Partner with internal teams to support certifications, audits, and change control
- Ensure all NCE Quality Control metrics are met or exceeded
- Implement continuous improvement process for quality and manufacturing
- Own manufacturing-related corrective actions (CAPAs), root cause analysis, and preventive controls
New Product Introduction (NPI) & Scale-Up
- Lead manufacturing readiness for new product introductions from pilot builds through mass production
- Partner with Engineering on DFM/DFA, tooling decisions, and test strategies
- Establish production validation, ramp-up plans, and early yield stabilization
Cost Management & Margin Expansion
- Drive COGS reduction initiatives without compromising safety or quality
- Optimize labor, materials, tooling, and logistics costs
- Support margin expansion initiatives tied to volume growth and supplier consolidation
Risk Management & Business Continuity
- Identify and mitigate manufacturing risks (single-source suppliers, geopolitical risk, capacity constraints)
- Develop contingency plans for supply disruptions, demand spikes, or quality events
- Support inventory strategy decisions in collaboration with Supply Chain and Finance
Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Serve as a key operational voice in executive planning and growth discussions
- Collaborate closely with our Japan Engineering Team, Sales and Marketing
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field
- 10+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing operations, preferably in:
- Consumer electronics
- Life-safety, IoT, or regulated hardware products
- Proven experience managing contract manufacturers and global supply partners
- Strong working knowledge of regulated manufacturing environments
- Demonstrated success scaling production in high-growth environments
Preferred
- MBA or advanced degree
- Experience with UL-listed or safety-critical products
- Lean Six Sigma certification
- Experience supporting national retail or utility-driven distribution models
