About the Role:

As a Case Manager, you will play a key role in coordinating Examinations Under Oath (EUOs) and Independent Medical Exams (IMEs) while managing ongoing communication and documentation for personal injury cases. Your ability to handle sensitive information, communicate effectively in both English and Spanish, and manage detailed casework will directly impact the success of our clients’ outcomes.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and coordinate EUOs and IMEs; send timely and accurate notices to all involved parties

  • Request, receive, and organize medical records and billing documentation

The District Attorney’s Office in Brooklyn, one of the largest prosecutors’ offices in the country, has openings for new and experienced attorneys seeking flexible work schedules and the opportunity to do truly meaningful work in a vitally important section of our Office. The Kings County District Attorney’s Office is seeking qualified candidates to serve as Assistant District Attorneys in the Early Case Assessment Bureau (ECAB) which is open every day, morning and night, as well as holidays. This is a highly flexible position, and qualified candidates will have the opportunity to work full-time and/or part-time schedules. ADAs in this position will work in a hybrid remote and in-person environment and will be able to work some nights, weekends, and holidays remotely.


Processing the vast majority of the thousands of arrests made in Brooklyn each year, ECAB provides Assistants with a rare opportunity to work with cases of all kinds across all areas of criminal law at a critical stage of the proceedings. In a fast-paced environment that requires sound judgment and attention to detail while allowing for significant latitude and initiative, ECAB Assistants receive new arrests, interview police (and sometimes other) witnesses, and prepare a factual narrative summarizing the case. Assistants will then work collaboratively with supervisors as the Office’s charging decision is made, drafting the charging document (complaint) for cases that will proceed and declining to prosecute or diverting those that will not. Assistants are also responsible for preparing notices and case files necessary for arraignment.


ECAB assistants will also have the opportunity to arraign misdemeanor and felony cases. Arraignments and their outcomes – particularly bail settings – draw significant scrutiny, and bail was one of the District Attorney Eric Gonzalez’s first key reform initiatives. Arraignment ADAs will have a unique trust and responsibility in the Office and will be required to make fair decisions everyday while making Brooklyn safer.


Job Requirements:


  1. Candidates must be admitted to the New York Bar OR have recently taken the February 2026 Bar Exam

Role Summary: The Case Manager Supervisor plays a pivotal role in supporting the Director of Social Services in program operations, encompassing planning, development, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and procedural enhancements. This position entails overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Social Services Department, operating under the guidance of the Director of Social Services.

Primary Job Responsibilities/Duties:

The Case Manager Supervisor will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Ensure adherence to organizational policies and procedures, with a special focus on conflict resolution.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Social Services in approving employee timesheets and time-off requests.
  • Actively participate in shaping departmental goals, objectives, policies, and procedures, and provide recommendations for refining existing standards.
  • Direct a team of case managers in the preparation of independent living plans, discharge plans, and follow-up care programs.
  • Lead the recruitment, supervision, monitoring, and evaluation of social services staff, ensuring proficient execution of routine tasks.
  • Establish and implement schedules and work assignments within the social services department.
  • Provide crisis intervention and emergency services as necessary.
  • Ensure case managers provide all required and appropriate services, including housing, employment, and therapeutic placements.
  • Oversee the orientation and training of new employees in the shelter.
  • Maintain thorough supervisory case notes, referrals, and related documentation.

  • Coordinate services to ensure the physical plant operates safely, comfortably, and in compliance with DHS and OTDA regulations.
